Best Mario Kart ever, and the main reason was shortcuts. If you played the game to long or finished it, its kinda boring but the hard shortcuts are really difficult. It was like an extra task, quest or level you could complete at literally every course, it was the one Mario Kart with unlimited tasks and challenges, and thanks to the shortcuts, themes, nostalgic map designs and the voice lines, its the best Mario Kart in history.
I love the memories. I would sit down infront of the tv on the floor cus my dad was normally on the armchair, and I would force him to play mario kart, he would always choose yoshi, and I would always make us play mushroom gorge because it was his least favourite map. Good times
