    I'm glad that you explained in the beginning of the video that pigs are just vocal animals. I have been around pigs enough to know that they are stuborn and just make noise when you breath on them the wrong way. Too many people believe they are being abused because they scream like that when in reality it's the opposite. You are helping the AG industry with your education. Keep up the great work.

    Wow seeing this for the first time, several things become obvious. As you stated, your as kind and gentle as possible with these pigs, it's alot of hard work to unload (and presumably load) these pigs, and also it's got to be a wonderful odor in there to work in - so refreshing to see in today's work economy where few take care and pride in what they do. Thanks for all you do for the rest of us in your job. All the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸

    As an enthusiastic consumer of meat and things cooked on my dad’s grill, it’s important to me that I know how the meat that I eat is made. Temple Grandin has some good videos about this topic, but you talked about the pig board. In one of her videos about pigs, Grandin mentioned that pig boards work because pigs respect a solid barrier. Thought that was interesting to see it in action like this. Your intentions was no to necessarily hurt them, but they needed to move anyway. I can respect that. Cool vid.

    My husband hauled a few loads of pigs from Florida to north Georgia. When he left Fl. it was warm but in Ga. it was cold, and the pigs had to almost be pushed out of the truck into the cold air.

    this has been the best video i have seen of unloading pigs not stressing them when unloading, yes pigs are stubborn and you do get some that will make the unloading or loading always a challenge, im not sure how many you had on board but some looked as though they were fat pigs ready for slaughter and others were weaners and some growers theres i expectthis place was an auction,here in the uk most pigs are straight too slaughter our pork pigs will weigh between 70 and 75 kgs and bacon between 80 and 85kgs

    I gotta say Vaughn you definetly got the patience, I've worked on a pig farm when I was younger and they will wear you out, that's one reason I always stuck to cattle. You done an excellent job I always hated using the hotshot on cows unless it's absolutely necessary. Good Job.👍🇺🇸

    Man I enjoyed this, brought back so many memories when I was younger. I was wondering when you would resort to saying "hey" then you did lol, then when you were crawling in the belly you had to resort to old faithful again. It really does seem to be a universal language for moving pigs. Is it easier with the gas can rattle or the red rattle on a stick?

    2 questions
    #1 Where at in Kansas
    #2 what's so special about yellow vs red?

    • @VaughnDallasVance
      @VaughnDallasVance  7 місяців тому +2

      C bar H (crazy house) in garden city, KS.
      I prefer yellow because cows are lacking the red color receptors in their eyes. Red is more like a brown to bovine animals. Blue and green paddles are good too. But the contrast of yellow, especially at night in my experience makes it easier to work cows in the trailer.

      Good Lord, what a work out. I hope that there is a cool breeze outside just so you can cool down for a minute or two. Your years of experience are reflected in the design of your trailer. This is the first time I have seen the upper upper deck where you literally have to access crouching all the way. I can only imagine what it took to load this area. BTW, where does your responsibility start and stop when loading and unloading the livestock. You had a few pigs that seemingly returned to the trailer after they left? How long did it take to remove everyone? This was not your normal offload. How long did it take to design and build your trailer. Everything is so meticulous and functional. Everything has a purpose in conjunction with the rest of the trailers function. After this workout it's time for at least a 45-60 minute shower. Just when we thought things couldn't get any better, the Red & Blue flashing lights was the cherry on top of an enjoyable video.
      Thanks again for your efforts to provide an informative and enjoyable video.
