Army retiree here, I can remember getting cornered by my Platoon Sgt one day after fighting getting promoted for a few years, because I really liked what I did and was really good at it. He told me that is why I need to get promoted, because ‘you make things happen the right way’…the job always comes first…chain of command must always be addressed before the open door…man I love this edition of the podcast!

The content like this being put out by CF lately is top notch. We'll miss Clint but its great to see the guys and gals left behind are still keeping the pace. Thank you.

Remember on the Shawn Ryan show DJ Shipley was talking about the raid to get the dude who did the Kenyan shopping Mall attack in Somalia - when the zodiacs and then jet skis got flipped due to heavy surf when they were picking the operators up from the beach.

referring to the SWCC section of the video, im pretty sure that grey squadron of ST6 is primarily SWCC operators, just at a tier 1 level.

I really appreciate the balance of ego/humility that pervades the selection/training/integration process. I can't help but compare it to my son's experience as a search and rescue specialist (among other things). On his carrier, the pilots were demigods, ego-driven (perhaps they have to be that way), and pretty insufferable to anyone else. More than one conversation went like:
N: You might want to treat my crew with a little more respect.
Pilot: I already give you more respect than you deserve.
N: Okay, just remember who's gonna be pulling your ass out of the ocean when you screw the pooch.
Pilot: That'll never happen. I don't make mistakes.
N: Ah. Where are you ranked on your landing proficiency?
    Pilot: Shut the f**k up.

Is there anything more irritating than hearing the host say “right” after asking a question they have no fucking clue about?
Just like he said, “keep your mouth shut and your ears open.”

The #2 man with eyes in the toilet! 😂 I also can't believe how many times I hear about tier 1 guys on an op without body armor because "it's too much extra weight" the people who know are ALWAYS stressing the importance of wearing your body armor but the operators who should know better often disregard that safety measure 🫨
