I love the balance of open shelving and drawers. I too store a lot of my items like this. I have milk crates stacked on their sides that I use for open shelving of sorts. I have a closet that my husband installed extra shelves in for me. It really is kind of an organized hot mess. I live by the motto of as long as it's clean and I know where it is, then it's organized! Seriously don't worry about what other people think, are they paying your bills??? LOL! Thanks for another great video girl - Love and hugs to you!
You should see my storage and crazy hoarding closet, kitchen drawers, garage and twos sheds ...I’m obsessive when it comes to buying cake supplies AND I don’t even have a cake business 🤦🏻♀️ two or three more years and I will start selling and offering it for free to down size. I’m 65 and don’t see myself making cakes much longer😩 I never had the opportunity to dedicate my time to cake decorating...life and other commitments got in the way 💔I’m caregiving for my 92 & 93 parents...living NO time for me or my cakes😞 May God continue to bless you in your cake business 🙏💕 I LOVE your work, you are amazingly talented👍😊
Love the way you have been able to store and organize everything. Several years ago, my husband went to Home Depot and bought me a Husky toolbox. It is about 4 foot long with drawers and a butcher block top. It holds so much stuff. He said it was a toolbox for my tool.
I'm working on this and have just bought a free standing pantry from Amazon to organize everything in. I'm looking forward to being able to find everything. I'm impressed with your organization. Thank you for sharing this. 😊
I love your video! Your ideas are gfeat, buy I dont have a place to put the containers. Our house is huge, but, due to a car accident, I only have access to a small area of it. Therefore, I stack things up and dig til I find what I need. Your work really inspires me!
Hi :) I use a work bench, I think its made for tools lol, I found it at bunnings and it stores nearly everything I need in the draws, at my fingertips as I work on the top bench on it. That way I am not in my actual kitchen in kids way when they want food! Lol! I dry my toppers in filing shelves/draws from Big W, they work great also for my paperwork/ letter cutters and stencils, and moulds. :)
I use dollartree plastic clear bins and lable them accordingly, mostly for my cookie cutters,I don't make cookies, plus my piping tips etc, those go on my shelf..I have the drawers you have but in white plastic I store, tools, paints, piping bags etc
I use my chocolate moulds by spaying lightly with wilton cake release then placing my fondant or modelling paste :which can be used white and coloured after dry or coloured before: my family just sigh when they stand at the doorway of my cake decorating room/ my 35 years of equipment : thank you for being so honest about our craft the good and trials we experience ; love from Brisbane Queensland Australia xx
I love that you share so much with us!! I just moved recently to a new state. I haven't re opened my cake business yet, still unpacking all my cake stuff!! Love this! Thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you for the video! I’m new to baking and have converted the old desk in my kitchen and the cabinet above into my baking station. I’m already out of room but I make it work.
I keepsaying I must get more organised. I'll be moving house soon and that will be my perfect opportunity to pack everything in categories and then put them away the same way. Great video with great ideas. Thank you.
You are organized! What works for you may not work for others 🙂Hi Mom! Mothers are your biggest fan (I lost mine 2 yrs ago but I still hear her voice telling me good job) Sorry I ranted but moms are AWESOME! Your mom is crafty & Your just like your mom. I was just storing all must stuff in totes because all bedrooms were occupied. When my daughter moved out it became my "Office". I still have totes hid behind a shiny curtain, 2 beige garage storage wall units, cubby's with all my printers on top. We all make do girl 🥰
I'm sorry to hear about your mom, I don't know what I would do without my mom. And you're right, we find what works for us! At least we know where everything is. 😂
After running up and down the stairs 82 bajillion times when I was storing my items in the basement, I've not taken over the wall between my kitchen and dining room. I have stainless shelves that are 6 feet tall and 5 feet wide. I organize my supplies in totes, mainly shoe box size for smaller items, and larger totes for pans and boards. I use snap lid containers for my ingredients. I didnt think I'd love all of my cake supplies being out, but it forces me to keep them organizes and its so much easier having everything 2 steps away.
I’ve also got a chest of ikea drawers and ikea basket drawers on wheels. I’m jealous of your shelving, you can never have enough space to store equipment and stock. Thanks for sharing 😊🍰
Hi Karolyn. I store most of my tools in photo box that I get from Michael's and I label them. Currently I have about 35 photo boxes on 2 wire racks. For my smaller tools I have 4 storage rack. It looks simular to the type of draws set up that libraries uses but smaller. They each have 20 draws.
Love it! My dream would be a room that I could totally dedicate to baking and decorating supplies! As it is, I've just taken over pretty much every room downstairs in my house... it's everywhere 😭 plastic drawers on wheels, a stack of plastic tubs piled up behind the dining room door, ingredients all over the kitchen. It's a nightmare! Most of the time I know where everything is but on occasion there will be a "sh1t, where the HELL is XXX" moment 🤣
Hey from the UK! I’ve just found you and watching your videos. How is the Wilton dividing ring thing used/ used for? All the spokes seem to be set differently (presumably for different sizes of stripes/ distances) so how does it work to help with even marks? Do you need to set your turntable on top of it?! 🤷🏻♀️ I’m clueless! 😂 I’d really appreciate the help/ insight. xx
I place the dividing chart on top of the turntable, then I place the cake on top and use the lines as a guide to cut. I also use it for other decorations, I made a roulette wheel and it was wonderful helping me cut the right shapes / angles. I hate that they don't make it anymore, it really is one of my favorite tools!
I’m sure your so used to how you store your supplies that once you do have more space you’ll most likely store everything the same way….I like to get shoe boxes at Home Depot to store little things like the flower cutters and molds keeps them nice and clean and you can label the boxes so you know what your grabbing for…I have a super tall storage closet that my best friend gifted me and it allows me the space to use those shoe boxes…Works for me cuz my kitchen is NOT that big.
If you enjoy my tutorials, I'd be so grateful if you'd Buy Me A Coffee! ☕🙏

Love your organization. As long as it works for you, it’s not chaos. You’ve done a great job in utilizing space.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has decorating tools everywhere !!
Love the simplicity and how you have made maximum use of the space!!! Now this is a proper home baker’s kitchen. Love it 😍

Yes! Chocolate molds are great for fondant as well. I never sprayed them with cake release, that's a great tip. Thank you!! 🙌

Thank you for the video! I’m new to baking and have converted the old desk in my kitchen and the cabinet above into my baking station. I’m already out of room but I make it work.

Any updates on your organization?
I still do it the same as this video. If I ever move, I will film my new organization!
How much is the organizer
I'm not exactly sure, it's the first item listed in the description under the tools I use. Its probably around $50 or so.
I love that idea! I’d Like to think that when I move I will redo everything, but you are probably right, I’ll stick with what’s been working for me 🤣🤣
