Red dragon fruit is best eaten close to picking if possible and eaten at room temp. Has a fragrant sweet taste which is hard to describe. Beautiful fruit.
I wish I can find red dragon fruit here in Canada. I've only seen and tasted white fleshed dragon fruit. :( I am assuming the white fleshed dragon fruit is similar to the red fleshed- lacking the color of course :(
The pitaya fruit (the white fleshed) is a bit bland compared to dragonfruit (the purple fleshed).. Please come to Malaysia! We have plenty of dragonfruit farms here

Dragonfruit in HK & China has pink skin but white flesh....like an insipid kiwi fruit.....tastes of F-all but has more Vit C than oranges....looks pretty but blah!!!!
Monica Phillips I’ve heard it should feel the same like when an avocado is ripe. But much like an avocado, it can become overripe very quickly, and then it just doesn’t taste good at that point
I'm sorry, but I spent over 6 dollars on one, and it looked *SO* beautiful! But then, it tasted like NOTHING. like...boiled cauliflower, that somebody briefly rubbed a kiwi against, at best. I was so utterly crushed with disappointment. Was it not ripe? Are you supposed to leave them on the tree, and that didn't happen? I mean, why does...HOW CAN... *THE most beautiful fruit in this WORLD* ...taste like a boiled gymsock?
Suzanne Baruch pasteurized eggs don’t contain salmonella.... especially the whites. Salmonella can’t grow in fresh egg whites because there’s barely any nutrients and the bacteria dies.
