You can pressure wash the stone wall. Make sure you have a wide sprayer on it, otherwise you’ll blow the mortar out of the joints and put lines in the stone. Then seal the whole wall, and move the grill.
To remove that soot you may need a soot sponge, TSP (trisodium phosphate), and a mild degreaser like Dawn dish soap. Because if you use something too strong there will be a stain left behind. Due to it sitting in the sun during the day. You might need to put one of those tarps behind it after cleaning it so you don’t have to keep repeating.

Hey King G, as far as the smoke stain, it’s a easy fix.
I would pressure wash the entire wall with a wide sprayer, just don’t run the nozzle closer then a foot from the wall. You’ll save your stone an mortar from discoloring. If you use a product it would be like taking Johns rash guards. It’s not natural.
Then seal the wall with a masonry stain, maybe add a stainless steal to the wall to avoid this issue again.
You can also take the pressure washer and spray all the grease off Nicky Rod, next scrub the wall with his loyalty and ego, then you may stain the wall again.
For now I look forward to seeing you smash Peña again. 🤙

The guys training every day 8 to 12 hours a day, the technical level is increasing, records are being pulverized, people are very hypocritical because everyone wants modern entertainment, I want to see people take drugs away and someone watch the Olympic games, there are still people who think that being tested guarantees something, guys don't realize how dirty and corrupt USADA is. And worse, people think that only muscular athletes use PEDs, it's very naive, skinny ones often use them even more lol.

Barrelsaunas are verypopular here in Finland (surprise surprise). Some of the old school ones with fire heated saunastoves has the firewood hatch outside behind the sauna.

I worked doing fire restoration yrs ago. We used to use this stuff called Serum to remove smoke staining not sure if it'll work on concrete, bricks, or blocks though
Hey Gordon not sure if you read these but regarding the smoke staining, I’m an insurance adjuster and I’ve had smoke damage/fire claims where the contractor was able to remove the staining using some sort of dry ice treatment. I’m in Canada and it was $4,000 or something for an entire brick wall similar to that are where the BBQ is. Might be a solution

It was probably a dry ice blaster, sort of works like a sand blaster because it has abrading qualities to it, works with all kinds of surfaces but doesn't remove much base material.

The stain can sometimes be lifted off your wall with a mixture of vinegar water and dawn dish soap also a scrub brush.
Hey Gordon, the safest way to remove the smoke stains is to use Dry Ice. Not sure where you’re at but I can possibly connect you with somebody who does that as a service. I’ve been cleaning/restoring with dry ice for a couple years now that should do the trick without damaging anything 👍🏼

@gordonryan, try using steam to clean up the smoke markings. Have not tried it but use of steam does wonders with clean up.
Believe it or not any mosquito or bug repellent like "OFF" can remove surface stains, including the grime from headlights. Just spray a thin coat and the stain usually wipes right off. You're welcome.

Gord - the wall - sodium hypochlorite aka bleach (at least 5% soft wash solution).. soak the wall real good, the whole section for at least 15 minutes, rinse and repeat. Using a pressure washer with a medium angle nozzle (not too shallow, otherwise it'll flake the stone).. that will surely help as well. Might even start with that, then soft wash treatment.

Go to a concrete plant and ask them for stone wash. Mix with water and apply with a stiff brush and scrub like hell. Wash with water. Make sure stone wash doesn’t get into garden or plant beddings.

1:31 - Use a solution mixing vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, and lemon/lime juice - and get to scrubbing those walls big Gord. You can also buy other domestic cleaning products in your area if you wanted to try something else, but vinegar/bicarb/and the acidity from lemon juice will probably remove those stains just like you're gonna remove that stain Felipe Pena in a few weeks! Gordon, if it is a stone wall (as in real stone), get a kitchen torch blower and apply direct fire to the stained area and it will gradually burn the smoke residue

You can get smoke removing solutions like Simple Green at Home Depot or Lowes. You're gonna have to scrub it clean with that. Or hire someone.
