I see zero point to this other than a cash grab. Nobody asked for another underpowered fast *looking* even less exciting brz/86. Fwd+mid power train +mid marketing+ auto(even tho I literally prefer auto at least being manual gives it SOMETHING)= some bs nobody’s gunna buy. It’ll be done within 5 yrs if they don’t make it obscenely close to the type r.
Or the older MDX RLX shawd drivetrain with dual clutch. That would scream updates for 2024 400 hp 400 tq Shawd 35 mpg. Instant car of the year with better real shift lever interior rear armrest usb vents for small kids or dogs. Higher quality front seats thigh extensions ventilation better quality rear seats. .this is Hondas flagship model.
It's a 2026 CRZ. This is not an enthusiast car, like the CRZ. Pity, as it looks good and will have proper underpinnings, but the hybrid fake shifting fake noise experience is sim...it's not real. Cars like this one are ruining cars. Before long we'll all be sitting in a self driving pod because of cars like this one. I hate this crap. I hope this thing fails miserably.
Add an exhaust intake may e headers it appears have type r underpinnings.. Only the transmission is holding it back that's where mods and tuni g can help and there will be a faster version.
This is where after market needs to come through. Civic eh and type r are known for having perhaps the best manual ever and they say no same for the corvette. Honda can do it but it will cost them but they would make it back with upcoming type r so Integra NSX that could then also use the tech that only Honda would have going forward. Unfortunately bean counters that don't look to the future will make the decisions. As it is ill take the prelude with the type r drivetrain engine st o my slightly softer suspension.
Why do you guys always talk about "This could be a Type R in the future" Honda will never make a none Civic Type R. This car wont even be an si. When was the last time you saw an Si or Type R in a none Civic Car? The 90's?
This Prelude is trash. It will fail and it deserves to.

Should be a limited version with the acura tl 3 liter turbo version in the prelude

Not a prelude. Thats a soulless attempt to steal from our inner children. Sad
grow up or educate yourself 😂 Honda has made a super charger & turbo for their hybrids rare but look into the CRZ with that
The Honda mustang! Lol
we pray this thing isn't more than 40k
$65k starting.

@@Tigerex966 Throw a dress on it. Maybe that will work.
what's the point of this car lol??
A real shift knob hack and manual mod
Please some exhaust tips.
Fake engine noise delete
4cyl junk.
I might buy a new economy Prelude for $25,000
Depends on weight
Honda has made hybrids with autos manuals cats and dual clutches.
Another sport coupe with no manual transmission option. The legacy name has no meaning as an automatic. Might as well be another suv or minivan.
almost all preludes were automatics get over this it will be okay
@yunova spoken like a true Prius driver.
The RSX name was trademarked recently by Acura. There are discussions of a possible non-hybrid manual Acura version of this chassis.

@@yunova no they were no a huge percentage were manuals stop the lies.

Integra type R? Nsx type R?
The Integra Type S is a Type R, they are just following the naming convention
They already have its called Integra NSX and Honda over seas
I saw that the S+ mode was going to have the same gearing as the NSX. That could be fun if they execute that well.
their CRZ hybrid rare mod but also had superchargers & turbos made for it so it could be another hybrid performance car
My 97 prelude burst into flames overnight. Total bummer
