You just can't contain a guy like Jim! Many of his best scenes are improvised and memorable lines are often completely spontaneous. Remember the "most annoying sound in the world" from this film? You could probably tell this wasn't in the script by the genuinely horrified look on Jeff Daniel's face as Jim leans over and lets him hear it. It was off the cuff in typical Carrey style. And in the bar scene in Aspen, the line "No way... that's great. We've landed on the moon!" was also made up by Jim right on the spot when he saw the framed newspaper. Some say Jim hasn't taken any dramatic roles lately due to the poor box-office performance of his previous ones. But apparently, he will only perform in a movie that has a completely positive message. He has struggled with depression, and due to his own personal belief system doesn't want to project anything negative.

_Dumb & Dumber_ is from 1994. Lauren Holly, the actress who plays Mary Swanson, married Jim Carrey in 1996.
I would love for you all to watch The Crow. Its a dark fantasy comic movie that stars Brandon Lee, Bruce Lee's son, as the main character. He died making the movie, as he was accidentally fatally shot during the making of it. Its violent but beautifully shot and the acting is beautiful.

Jim Carrey and Lauren Holly (Mary) got married for a couple years after filming this. Also that last scene running up to the bus was completely unscripted.
1994 was a good year for Jim Carrey - this movie and The Mask. I think that he was still doing late night show, In Living Color. One of his characters on that show is Fire Marshal Bill. Jim go over the top as Fire Marshal Bill. I know that UA-cam has video clips from In Living Color. Some of his costars made it big in other roles in TV and movies plus producing TV and movies too.
This films soundtrack is so powerful, despite not hearing it for a quarter of a century, and it being muted on this video, it got back into my head so much that I had to download the whole thing the day after watching this.
And just think, after Lloyd was rejected by the Austrian woman the song "Loser" by Beck was supposed to play, but Beck said no. I've already played that scene on mute and played the song just to see if it was as great as I thought it would be and it was.
Just found your channel yesterday and I've been binge watching your videos lol. From avengers infinity war to the joker, the emperor's new groove and now this. All absolute classics! Haha enjoying the content😁
I think one of the reasons why this movie still is popular after all these years is because as dumb and silly as the comedy is, there's a surprising amount of heart under all the silliness. It's actually quite a sweet story about two best friends who might be too stupid to operate in the rest of the world, but because they have each other, they're still happy.
To add to the Jim Carrey recommendations, I suggest Yes Man. It’s a great movie. Plenty of laughs, lots of heart, and a good message. Make a covenant and watch it.

The best Jim Carey acting is Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind. Here he is a serious and very dramatic character. This movie is one of the best movies of all time. So Just prepare yourselfs for the breakfull feelings.
Jim Carrey and the actress playing Mary, Lauren Holly got married after meeting on this movie... but split up after a year. "Ace Ventura 2" and "Me, Myself, and Irene" are 2 more of his comedies i recommend. For a more dramatic role i suggest "The Truman Show" which shows Jim Carrey can act besides just comedy. If you want another super funny movie: "There's Something About Mary." It's Ben Stiller though, not Jim Carrey.
How come when girls watch a movie and there is a weirdo; or a very odd and strange guy, one that happens to be somewhat sweet, and that happens to have a crush on the girl in the movie, they suddenly thinks he's the best for the girl and they side with him. Here, Lloyd is...not what generally girl would fall for in real life. He's all wrong, but of course in the movie, he's funny for being that dumb.
He meant to say "rapier" (a sharp sword) not rapist wit. That's what makes it funny. I saw this movie in the theater in real time. The whole theater was laughing the entire time.

I’ve never seen so many people not laugh at this movie . I don’t think they fully understood the humor
they literally laughing heaps. you don't think was the most accurate thing you said.
@@UnnLykley the language barrier definitely doesn’t help. U can’t tell me otherwise
42:49 How did I know a couple of you would be fooled by this? HE'S GOT A GUN!!!! Hahaha
One of my all time favorite comdies!
That in love music comes on and I clutch my heart whenever I see Viki
Jim Carrey and the actress playing Mary, Lauren Holly got married after meeting on this movie... but split up after a year.
"Ace Ventura 2" and "Me, Myself, and Irene" are 2 more of his comedies i recommend. For a more dramatic role i suggest "The Truman Show" which shows Jim Carrey can act besides just comedy.
If you want another super funny movie: "There's Something About Mary."
It's Ben Stiller though, not Jim Carrey.
Loved your reactions - this is one of my favorite Jim Carey movies!
He meant to say "rapier" (a sharp sword) not rapist wit. That's what makes it funny. I saw this movie in the theater in real time. The whole theater was laughing the entire time.
OMG how I have not seen this channel before! I watch reaction content every day, somehow I missed you wonderful ladies. Subscribed and I hit the bell too, you made me laugh SO much with you!
