Otes is still one of the most fascinating characters we had in a long time. I'm loving all the content in April! I'm still on board with the "Otes is future Yuga" theory.
7:44 if look at the front it looks like the screen Yuuga is looking at is Doll which might be saying something like Doll is the true mastermind cause we saw in the tournament arc Doll controlled Mimi so maybe Doll has the ability to control people look Otes and all in the first episode of Go Rush we heard Yuudias say "Road" and he has a original duel disk from Sevens so maybe Yuuga went to space met Yuudias and gave him his duel disk and created the Velgears for them the aliens to escape to earth if things get bad
Maybe Otes was the descendent of the first Mr. Goha who hated what his company had become up to this whole time. Kind of like a disgruntled Konami executive or Takahashi (hypothetically, not actually) who hated how YuGiOh went from something fun to alienating and is willing to just destroy everything and start over. Still outside of that and whatever happened to him and Yuga while in hyperspace, it ended on a solid note.
Super late but I'd like to add that the "lights" in the mask are probably not coming from the mask itself, but reflecting from the control pannel in front of Yuga. That can be confirmed by how they don't move when he smiles, showing its just a reflection on the surface.
You missed one of the biggest clues. At some point, the Goha helmet starts bugging out and Otes comments that if it cannot even remember what it first looked like, it had reached its limits. It's a clue that the Goha helmet is Kaizo from the future.
The irony is that if Luke hadn't gone to challenge Yuga for the right to stay with him, Yuga wouldn't have needed to leave for 2 years. If he just stayed behind and trusted his friend, he wouldn't have lost him.
If Yuga didnt try to use his Id to win, accepted the lose and defeated Otes along side with Luke* But regardless I think it was more about how unpredictable and dangerous Ottes was to Dueling over all.
I'm going to do a long shot and say that I think Swijo someday met Yuga during this 2 years and that he beated Yuga, took him to prison and since he's an alien, we can say he has the technology to imitate everything and turned into Yuga to spy on humans and Rush duels. Crazy theory isn't it?
Daang. I thought that the ending would get half assed in favor of go rush (sevens still feels really short) but they did good. That ending with yuga looking like a young otis is super creepy. Yuga won against Luke with a nerfed deck. His ID card ONLY allowed him to recover sevens road magician which wasn't in his deck because he was using it against Otes, he didn't have access to FUSION or his maximum monster. Meanwhile, Luke had access to every card in his deck thanks to his second dragears. Yuga lost against Luke twice and bricked both of these times. He won against lukeman who had better dueling skill and in that final match with a nerfed deck. Comedy losses aside, ALL of yuga's serious losses were because his opponent had access to a mechanic he couldn't use (maximum twice and fusion once), Luke was objectively not only inferior to Yuga, but also to Neil and arguably Roa and Asana.
