During the Ohdos' trip to the future, it was stated that Rush Duels became Goha Duels during the time between GO RUSH and SEVENS, so yeah, Rush Duels were meant to be invented during the era of GO RUSH, the world just simply forgot about them. Also, GO RUSH is likely the canonical reason why Yuga Goha is named Yuga.
5:16 With all due respect, several episodes directly contradict this. Yuga literally stated in 100 and 101 that his goal in doing all of this was to stop Monster Reborn from existing in the future entirely and leading to the future he came from, as he feared both the card itself for obvious reasons and the attention reviving the Velgearians would gain from adults, which would inevitably lead to them taking more control over it and creating Goha Duels over time (Yuamu expands upon this talking to Yuhi). Episode 39 states that the entire reason he chose willingly to reimplement Rush Duels in the past with Asaka despite his concerns about altering time was because he wanted a brighter future with more smiling people. He was even visibly very upset in episode 62 that his future was still the same and even possibly his fault, to the point he actually states he intends to stay in the past and try to guarantee that this future won't stay the same. Yuamu even notes in episode 101 that if Yuga continues on the path he's on with that duel and wins, the future will change and guarantee that he'll never reunite with his friends, which he knows. All signs point to Yuga actually wanting to _avoid_ keeping the same timeline despite the risks out of moral principle, even if he has concerns about doing so.
I'm vibing with the possibility that Yuga did not end up in the Sevens timeline. It's just too painfully straightforward. Yuga vs Yudias Ceremonial Rush Duel NEEDS TO HAPPEN at the end. Nevertheless, he needs to have a break. #JusticeForYuga
Thanks! Granted i got copyright claimed for one of them and i might change it if I wanna get monetized. But still. I wish the Rush animes were more talked about and weren’t just hated on. I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for comment
Yup. I wanted to make a video very similar to this a while back but never ended up finishing it, and since more and more information is revealed, I will probably make one at the end of go rush
Before watching Yugioh sevens was breath of fresh air and fucking amazing show. The writing was more or less fantastic in many areas, Otis was one of the characters that wasn’t fully explored properly (I understand there trying to give him even more backstory in go rush) But he always seemed like he knew event that was going to other then the duels he played unless he lose them on purpose to ensure the timeline. Yugu was incredibly interesting he was much more intelligent then any other character, the main times he lose was Surprised by mechanics he didn’t know we’re in rush duels like fusion and Maximum. Apart from to Luke (I saw him as a more dual protagonist as he had the luck we expect to see from the main protagonist, and it was fitting yugu won their lost duel. But he had a personally he was goofy and fun. I don’t know if that just fron being the main character at that point that he had to be written that way. But in go rush he seems fully one note, every action is for this greater purpose, from that I feel like he’s lose nearly everything that made he great. He lose most duels (if not every) Secretive, doesn’t discuss, hides and wants to be by himself. Which is the opposite to how he acted in seven, could be trauma response him just protecting his own feelings. Though it doesn’t come like that Go rush has its own fault write hasn’t on par at all. And I stopped watching week to week as it just felt boring I’ve come back and watch week to week but every week it’s me asking why? Why? What’s happening? So little develop or plot progression. They have two scenes before duel and then the episode over. It feel like nothings happens all the time And with the unique ability to have a main character from another show in the cast has just been wasted
Just had to check if my boy Yuga actually does get a happy ending: and he does! for a second I really thought the person we see in the shuttle was Otes, but thankfully i was wrong Yuga made it back, to his friends and mom, and got to duel again. That being said, the parallels to him an Otes really ties into the Book of Sevens, and I appreciate it honestly Sevens is a messy show, but I still love it to bits, and I’m sure I’ll say the same for Go Rush.
I don't know if you read One piece but it's happening like with luffy=Joy boy from 800 years ago or the same person. It is highly probable that the antagonist seen in series seven is Yuga but now who knows if Yuga will become one or break the loop. It's difficult to remove otes from the rest of the story so either yuga becomes him or something else but sooner or later we'll see in Yu-Gi-Oh go rush who will take on Otes' clothes, costume, or yuga will be influenced by a drone negatively. The hood of Otes' costume looks like a drone as the goha drone filled the role of Goha's president. The latter has not yet been understood who he was in Yu-Gi-Oh seven but it is likely that he was Kaizo. Yuga and Kaizo always together, with Kaizo always floating close to Yuga and in the same way in the final events of Yu-Gi-Oh seven we see the drone collaborate with Otes as if the latter had told him to do and play a role in Yu -Gi-Oh Seven
As a 25-year-old Italian, I am very pleased to hear these words because it doesn't have the same result for me, in fact it is harshly criticized and even a little here, where it has more success

IVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS FOR MONTHS NOW IM SO GLAD SOMEONE ELSE THINKS THE SAME THING
I'm honestly happy this is being covered. Going over this in my head was annoying after a while!
And I thought 5D's time traveling retcons were convoluted.
Yeah Sevens and Go Rush really outdid themselves in the convoluted department lol. Glad to see you commenting again!

I thought go rush was a sequel to sevens like the future
It’s an interquel. Yuuga went to the past
Which is also yuhi
