- Wow, Doctor Who is an utter dumpster fire of a show. They even managed to get David Tennant to come back for the Star Beast and all they did was lecture him on the modern audience. What a complete and utter failure.

This is actually a collab with Disney, which is why it will flop lower than the Mariana Trench. Love the utter state of the BBC, and paying that licence fee to fund stunning and brave (and elegant!). Plenty of laughs as usual; my favourites were: “Five of them will be British” and “London is sadly saved”. It needs its own Tunguska. At least Lenny Henry wasn’t there being all concerned about the lack of black faces in Dorset.
I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard in the year of our lord 2023. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you. (And I hope the thought police- I mean, diversity, equity, and inclusion commissars- don’t come for you in the middle of the night.)

I hadn't watched Dr. Who since the first few Capaldi episodes. I liked Capaldi but couldn't stand Clara. When I saw Tennant was coming back for this, I eagerly fired it up but only made it to the kitchen scene with Donna and her mum gushing about how stunning and brave Rose is. 😂 But this crap fest led me to your account so something good came of it.

yes, RTD is a hack. Of the 32 televised stories he has personally written 20 were wholly or mostly set in London. Ol Russ doesn't like diversity of settings. In contrast in the classic series Tom Baker had a run of 24 stories without setting foot in London, and only 4 times in England at all between Horror Of Fang Rock and The Keeper of Traken, (counting Shada). So I guess having a bigger budget to create alien worlds isn't what's hampering the creativity of ol Russ.
@@TheZodiacz That's something that pissed me off about New Who from the beginning; everything is about humans. Constantly on earth, and if it's not on earth, it's on a human space ship or human space station. Like, actual humans, not just humans in funny costumes who are supposed to be aliens. It was just so lame. I didn't care that the old show just put a wig on people and called them some alien race, it was still a different culture with different technology to figure out. Between that and Davies regularly reusing old plot points, he was definitely derivative. But he used to at least be competent; like, his stories and characters made sense (Moffat was worse and that, and Chibnall wrote with a crayon). So he's now failing at the one thing he was good at that saved the show.
@@TheZodiacz Yeah, Pertwee's era was almost entirely set on Earth due to budget restrictions, so they had to make the most of it. Now, with apparently the largest budget the show has ever had; and it's set in...Lahndahn.

'The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Patrol' ...... BBC can then depict their vision of crushing the 'suppressive heterosexual society' with their new vision; thus, replacing it with their evolved vision of the other 24 superior 'ualities' as everyone in unity praises the new LGBTQQIP2SAA intergalactic united unity of peace and prosperity league. . . . . The BBC can bluntly educate us regarding how wrong heterosexuality truly is in the eyes of the new 'Unity of LGBTQQIP2SAA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Federation' and their new engine of worldwide media 'Disney+' can bring the new 'good word' to the rest of the world . . . . . . USING The Doctor, (under the guidance of Dona , could help them eliminate the remaining divergent heterosexual society that has both suppressed and threatened all of time and space 🤔 and anyone who would disliked that episode clearly is nothing short of just being a hater. Also it's nothing new he had almost the same discussion with Wilf in a Café during the End of Time Special in Christmas 2009 when he found out she was engaged to Shaun Temple.
The only difference is that Wilf said she would have both surnames and be Temple-Noble rather than Noble-Temple as the Doctor put it, it would sound like a tourist spot.

I've been watching Doctor Who since November 1963, and I have never seen such crap being presented to fans. I can't watch this show anymore. Russel T. Davies went from being the show's savior in 2005 to its ruination in 2023. Another thing, these specials are supposed to be an anniversary, so where are the past Doctors?

No, it was still stupid. I like when they stopped the ship from taking off, which caused all of the gaping chasms opening in the earth to close back up nice and clean. Or when The Doctor repeatedly attempted to kill Donna by doing everything possible to remind her of who he was.
