This is the most relaxing irrigation video I have ever seen :)
Beautiful background music and great presentation of installation of soaker hose.
Thank you!! This is exactly what I needed to help plan my irrigation
Happy Easter Roxana. Great video.
Happy Easter friend!
Love your channel ❤ Thank you for making a video explaining the installation process. You made it look so easy and I can’t wait to get started. Can’t wait for Part 2 of this video ☺️
Thank you so much very informative.
Great instructional video! You made it so sensible looking ! Thanks a bunch!
You're very welcome!
Your videos are always so well done and this is great! Thank you.
Glad you like them!
Thank you!!!! This is so helpful. I am tackling this now and really appreciate the way you really showed how it goes together.
Glad it was helpful Michelle!
Your connections went on way easier then mine do. Mine are a little different but still.
Everything went on nicely, except for the 1/4" to the couplings, they are so tiny they are hard to handle, I just used hot water to soften the ends of the tubing a bit and that did the trick (coming on the second video).
This was so helpful! Irrigation is a project I'm planning to tackle this spring, because I'm SO inconsistent when it comes to watering. Valves are one thing I don't have on hand yet, and I'm definitely going to get some.
The on/off valves are very convenient!
Like you I watched so many videos on how to do this. It seems so overwhelming but its really not that difficult once you have a plan in place. The way you filmed it was fantastic. I was not lost at all and it will be so helpful when I put mine in which I'm hoping to do next weekend, Like you I bought a valve for each bed to meet the needs of each individual bed. Great job! Your videos are always so aesthetically pleasing to watch. Mine are always a hot mess of jibber jabber and bad camera angles LOL! Im getting a little better I hope:) Thanks for sharing
You will get better at them, you will see!
🎉🎉🎉GREAT WORK! I need on/off valves.
They are very convenient! (on/off valves)
I love this! I've always been so intimidated by Irrigation! (I'm a visual learner!) All of the parts and pieces just felt so overwhelming to me before. But now I see how it all makes sense. Also I never considered feeding the water upward then running it down to everything. Great advice! *Side note- Another of my Favourite Delphinium just broke ground today (from the 24 hour Freeze Method) that are in my cold start box outside! That means that there are more to come! 3 now! YAY!
This is great news! I definitely like the 24hr freezer technique, I am so happy for you!
I need to do my irrigation as well because it takes me like 3-4 hrs to water by hand. Here, I think is a must to have irrigation, too hot, too dry. Watching you from Santa Clarita, CA. Thank you.
It will save you LOTS of time!
If you can control 1/4 tubing timing properly it will work, before you do all your garden space “Practice or Proof of concept first in one bed” I used the 1/4 drip and then ended up needing more water and adding the heads. Prepare for frustration until you figure it out. In addition, I added a WiFi system so I could control time of day water from an App
Thank you! I have been playing with it for a bit today, it will definitely take some learning to figure out exactly how long and how often go let it run for but I’m very excited, I also am using WiFi timers and I’m loving that part as well.
We have sandy soil and going to try some left over PEX line to rig something up because I can’t get everybody watered before it gets hot out. Unless it’s a tree or something permanent I would need to water things like vegetables in a broader area because the water goes straight through and really wouldn’t soak the whole root zone. Like you said the emitters would have limited use in my veg garden as I don’t plant in same place.
I’m so excited to get some irrigation set up this year. I will filter and pump water from rain holding tanks and it will save me and the plants.
I really want to save rain water and somehow use that first, but that would take some more prepping to do but doable.
Happy Easter Dearheart 💜 thanks for all the insight, Amazing 🎉
Very Useful video, for beginners, thank you. Can you please post your video on cuttings from hydrangeas and clematis, I trimmed and a lot branches and they are growing, would be nice to grow other hydrangeas from it, clematis too, thank you
I dont grow clematis from cuttings and I’m not doing any hydrangeas from cuttings this year.
Great job, what I'll be doing when the wind stops. Happy planting
Thank you!
This was so helpful. I understood every little process. I get my irrigation system today from Amazon and I truly cannot wait to hook it up. Mine is the proven winner 1/4 inch tubing since I do not have a large garden like yours. You are so helpful in everything you do so thank you so much. Have a beautiful Easter Sunday with your friends and family.
Wao Roxana! This video came out at the right moment. I've been gathering items and need a couple more to install drip irrigation in my front garden bed. Thanks for explaining everything! This video is actually very helpful! Yay! I can't wait to see more!
Glad it was helpful! I will be publishing the second part this week as soon as I get it edited, Happy Easter!
Hi. Thanks for this great video. Do you have a pressure regulator on the zone that waters the Greenstalk?
Hey! Yes, I pretty much have the pressure regulator at the attachment from the house, that way whatever I do down the line it’s covered.
Happy Easter! Thank you for sharing! Can’t wait to see how you like the drip irrigation this summer!
This is like the 3rd time I have watched this one and will probably do it again. I am sooooo appreciative that you showed the steps to do this.
I have a question about the pressure reducer - is there one needed with your new wifi timer systems or do they have that as part of the timer?
I don’t believe the timer comes with one and honestly, when in doubt, this thing is like $20 altogether so definitely piece of mind…. What I do now is that I just have one pressure reduced right where the water comes from the house, that way whatever mace of cables happens after that the whole thing is covered.
@@SoilandMargaritas thank you so much! I wish you so much success. You are a wonderful person and I love watching your videos. You share so much of yourself with the world and it is greatly appreciated. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you for showing this! I was able to show my family what I'm planning
WOW so very helpful looking forward to #2 PS, music is wonderful for this
Music is NICE!
Great video!!! I need to do this myself, but I’ve been intimidated by it all. You’ve inspired me to give it a try. One question, did you use a pressure regulator on your main hose?
Yes, I have a second video where I finish everything coming up soon, I used one of those pressure regulator/back flow preventer with my water line of the irrigation, they are like $20 on Amazon I think.
Thanks for sharing. I’m trying to find to find a timer system that is easy to read and program if you have any suggestions.😊
I will be posting the second part of the install maybe Monday or Tuesday (whenever I can edit it) but here is the timer I am using, it is wifi controlled thru an app and LOVE IT! You need one hub for up to 4 timers so check it out. amzn.to/3MtY1mC
@@SoilandMargaritas Thank you, but I only have a small garden so I probably don’t need one this technical.
This is on my diy list next week !!! Thanks !❤❤❤🌻
Great job Roxana 🥰
Thank you so much for sharing!! I'm planking to do a couple of my beds soon too, so this really helps! Did you get your connectors on Amazon or another source? They look like they'd work really well!
Yes I did! I JUST updated the description and added all of those links to everything I used, depending how many you need you might need to check the quantities needed.
@@SoilandMargaritas awesome, thank you!!
You will always have to be adding soil to raised beds if you are using a mix that includes some sort of organic matter. The level drops as the organic material decomposes. This is especially true if you if your bottom layers are just organic matter. To prevent this drop in raised beds, simply fill them with plain dirt and then top dress with mulches and compost. The challenge is finding plain dirt these days.
Good morning and Happy Easter! I’m not sure if you mentioned the brand of the items that you are using. I hope to set some drip irrigation also this year so your video is perfect.
In the description! I JUST updated it and added all of those links to everything I used, depending how many you need you might need to check the quantities needed.
Thanks so much for showing how to do this! It’s very clear and efficient. Also, the music you selected is lovely.❤ Happy Easter!
Awesome. Ive always been intimidated by this but you make it seem something I can add to my skill set LOL. Do you need to step down the pressure from the main?
I grabbed one of those pressure regulators - back flow preventer to keep things safe, I know you can get something to measure it but who has time for that? I just added the regulator in case.
🪴💧💦🚰AWESOME‼️
why do you only copy other people?
What do you mean exactly? Growing flowers and vegetables and providing automated irrigation? Making videos on UA-cam? Wearing leggings with oversized sweaters? Wearing “bed-hair” days?
