Sir I had a question but did not found the LinkedIn comment section to be appropriate to ask this.
I have started posting on LinkedIn regularly since last 10 days. One of my senior motivated me to start posting on LinkedIn and everyday just share the topics which I have learnt that day. I found it as an appropriate time to start as I just started learning cloud. My posts got 5766 impressions in just 10 days.
But now I have started getting a feeling that I am not really adding some value to the reader through those posts. That's the reason my posts are getting good number impressions as a beginner but no reactions.
Sir Shall I keep posting this stuff only till the time the I gain some knowledge or shall I start posting something technical from the knowledge which I am gaining.
Arun, it's a great idea by your senior to post what you've learnt.
And you have the initial "success" to show that it works.
The correct way to think about your post is - Will there be ONE Person who might find this useful? OR
If I saw this post a week back (when I did not know this stuff), would I have found it useful?
If the answer is Yes - go ahead and post.
If the answer is No - write another post, till the answer is Yes.
Do not worry about engagement at this point - that's a totally different skill and science.
Hope this helps.
I'll be doing a LI live this weekend - come there and we can discuss more.
Such a meaningful advise sir but such a sad state of reality that doing the work isn't enough rather being seen as doing the work is what counts. Anyhow thanks for this!
Glad it helpful to you
In today's fierce competition, putting your work out there is a very essential skill. And mind you, this is *after* you've done the work - not just making up fluff just to show. But, it indeed is a skill that a lot of us lack, but need to acquire.
How have you built this skill? Any hacks?
