VERY helpful. I've only had my Piggies for 2 weeks and they're still quite skittish. One will allow me to pet him (on occasion) but the other runs away. While I DO replace their piddle pads daily, I've been trying to figure out how to clean the WHOLE cage without freaking them out. And here you are with THIS! I will give it a go and (hopefully!) have both a clean cage and Piggies who haven't been traumatized! Thank you!
Brilliant! I'm so glad you found it helpful and do let me know how you get on. You might also like to check out a page on our website on how to keep fleece liners fresh and clean (if that's what you're using) - here's the link www.guineapiggles.co.uk/article/cleaning-fleece-liners

Ah they look so happy in there. I like the idea of litter trays under the hay rack. I’ve just been using pee pads that I change daily but hay does get everywhere.

I have two long-haired guinea pigs in a 9' x 2.5' cage. I cover the flooring with mattress incontinence and crib liners, so the wee never gets to the flooring. Then I cover the pads with anti-pill fleece from the fabric store. Before I put them in the wash, I thoroughly vacuum the fleece to get any beans, tiny pieces of hay and as much of the hair off as possible. Then just pick it all up and wash it. No extra wiping needed.
I like the way you call poops "beans"! :D By the way, I'm not sure if you use washable or disposable incontinence liners but we don't recommend the disposables as guinea pigs can chew these which can create dangerous blockages in their digestive system. If you do use these we recommend using the washable version We also discuss these here on our website www.guineapiggles.com/fleece-bedding/
@@GuineaPiggles I got the term "beans" from other gp websites. 😄 Yes, they are the fabric washable kind. I buy them at Walmart. I have some in the wash at the moment. 😉
Guinea Piggles no problem! ☺️ And also, if you don’t mind, do you think you could consider subscribing to me too? 😅😅 (you don’t have to if you don’t want to tho) ❤️

Do you use the specially made Guinea Pig fleece liners? We don't find they do this but you could strategically place their hideys to stop them being able to go under.
I love your cage set up but I’d like to say that the holes in the hay rack are a little small and your guinea pigs could get their head stuck in it but other than that I love your whole cage set up!
It might sound silly but I am nervous about putting these in my washing machine. I just have this fear the clothes in the next wash will come out smelling funky. Has anyone ever had an issue with this or am I worrying for nothing? I would like to get these for our set up cause I like the idea of reusing them, but my husband has an extremely strong sense of smell and I feel like he would notice this.
We use disposable bedding now but we never noticed any smell issues with the clothes in the next wash. But I used to put the machine on a quick rinse cycle just to make sure any hairs weren't left in there. Adding white vinegar is really good for eliminating odours. Thanks you for sharing. Do you have any recommendations for the small litter tray - which one would be a good one to buy?
Any plastic litter tray is fine but make sure they can get in. We use a small cat litter tray which works really well.

I have a question I have Guinea pigs and my mom said that it will stink will it stink a lot ?
They will only stink if you don't clean out enough :) Guinea pigs aren't really smelly pets unless their housing is dirty.
@@GuineaPiggles thank you I will informe her 😃
The cage of my guinea pigs must be on top of the fleeces. If not, they will burrow under them and poop on the floor.
I learned what to not get my piggie
