Is this at a show.where they do the Big Lick or is this another Walker association putting this one on ? One totally rejects the Big Lick -- Not so sure about the other one -- some one must find it "ok" or they would not have the class at any shows Lord these are gorgeous horses. - hate the Big Lick, but this is totally awesome
Respectfully John, Tennessee Walking Horses are supposed to shake their heads, if they aren't shaking, they are not walking, which means they are racking or pacing or some other lateral gait - but a true TWH Running Walk and Flat Walk require a head shake, preferably a deep nod out of the shoulder. Yes, trotting horses nod their head when they are lame you are right about that, but this is not what you are seeing in this class. Take a few minutes and do some research, this is a very nice class of sound flat shod TWH horses.
Respectfully, you are mistaken. Country Pleasure horses are only allowed to wear flat keg shoes to enter this class, no pads, they are called "pads" not stacks. The class divisions shoeing regulations and everything else you need to know to show at this horse show is available online at this link: page 22 for country pleasure horses @@ajones427 www.showhio.com/documents/RuleBook_March2023.pdf
Respectfully, do a bit of research about walking horses and their gaits. A Tennessee Walking Horse is required to shake his head to perform the gait. If he is not shaking, he is not walking… he is racking, fox trotting , pacing or some other gait on the lateral gait spectrum, but he’s not walking unless he is shaking. Yes, trotting horses bob their heads when they are lame, and yes, there are unsound TWH shown, but that is not what you are seeing in this video.
This is beautiful, this is what we are supposed to see, and no circus music!
beautiful horses, great head shake!
The winner was outstanding.
😊😊😊😊
Their all winners. Beautiful
Nice. Showing off the horse's *natural* gait. None of that exaggerated, chemical-induced crap.
The woman in the. Violet shirt and white pants impressed me with how she uses her legs to support her seat
Funny , I wrote the comment half way through the video. Turns out she and her horse won. Maybe , I should be a judge. Lol
At the expense of her poor horses back! And God knows what else
I don’t understand how they judge at all I guess, I never looked at that horse. I had the 9th place horse 1st lol..

This is a show that supports all show divisions of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Not just country pleasure or padded performance.
Big Lick has been outlawed since the 70s. They accept USDA inspected HPA compliant padded performance horses
The way walkers should move 👍🤠🏆
Those horses are in pain. Horses only shake their heads like thT when in pain

Its a breed characteristic they are born with. Surprise, not all horses move like an AQH
@@willowbrookfarmNEOhio they look like they have stacks on and that is abuse.

@@willowbrookfarmNEOhio but there are people that show in stacks at the show called the big lick and that is abuse
no change in speed.
If you think it's pretty to watch your poor horse shake his head unnaturally so you can ride your fat fanny smoothly, you're wrong!
