Looking back this song, its nice..and meaningful to me ..when i was 10yrs..old i do always playing this 45rpm..everyday..just now am 52 yrs.old..i really appreciate much..my mind akways ready mingle ..singing while doing my work..thank you very much for uploading..GOD more bless to us..MIZPAH..
Songs like this cut to my core because I remember hearing and liking this one as a little kid, and then because of life and other things I don't hear it again until nearly 40 years later! It sounds every bit as good now, and thanks very much for posting!
the 60s the best time of my life glad I was born to be there from the start with all those brillant hits and groups, never forget the real start of pop.
this song still has a great feel about it even after all these years after all it was way back in 1969 . 46 years a go!!!!!...........definitely an old codger of 56!!!!!!!
Thanks for posting this. I just heard this on a retro station while driving down to vacation and it brought back a lot of memories of the late 60s, etc., and led me to look the song up here.
Been a fave of mine for over 40 years now - I have SUCH a collection of their American vinyl 45s and three copies of their lone US album, (plus import copies of their CDs) it's starting to overtake my digs!!
This is an awesome song that I can recall hearing on the radio. I can't get it out of my head now. Love the outfits and although it would be easy to make light of them that was the style in 1969. Thanks for posting.
I agree. I was 15 and I so loved this. Just sweet, easy to listen to pop. Now this song takes me back to that time living at home with my so much missed mum and dad and the innocence (to me, anyway) of those days. The song is sweetly evocative.
This was one of my favorite songs as a young 20 year-old who went to live and work in London for the BBC. Best year of my life....loved all the British bands and music. Still do.
This is a pretty song. I just loved it. I am not sure quite why but I think it is the innocence and the sense of the joy of the morning. I have so lost that.
The early morning has ALWAYS been my element and as a schoolboy I used to wake up earlier on my weekends just to ride my bike through the city centre. To watch the dawn rising above the church spires and old buildings. Just me and the blackbirds. This song takes me back to then.
I first heard this at age 15. This is a song about that early sense of the joy of the morning. When you get older, later times in the day take precedence. This one is wonderful because it sums up getting up early and experiencing the joy of the morning.
I don't know how you find these old videos and clips but I'm so glad you do. I sit here on Friday night and feel young and remember. But it scares me that gray haired {slightly over weight} guy that looks back at me in the mirror Saturday morning . Keep up the good work guys and gals.
Nevin Stolte When they advertise those doo-wop and other collections I say heck with the music I would like to see some of the shows they get the short clips from
+Nevin StolteSounds like you're writing about me!Gray haired, slightly overweight and not far off being an OAP but I can still remember the words to all the songs. How great to find all these songs on youtube and thanks to all those that upload them. Such memories.
I loved this song as a young girl; the essence of being young. Now, sadly it just brings back mum. She was there in every one of those memories; even if it was just saying "be cautious" or "no". This is my teenage song.
+Lynn Moore What a lovely reply. You are right. Being a teenager in the 60s was joyful. My mum was not particularly young but music was shared better back then because no-one was cool. So Engelbert could exist alongside Tom Jones and Dennis 'O'Connor and the Seekers and the Hollies and The Beatles and The Mamas and the Papas, and The Lovin' Spoonful and Cream and The Stones and The Marmalade and The Searchers and The Turtles and Vanity Fayre and, and. I could go on. I so loved all those guys. But I so miss mum. Mum loved "The Carnival is Over", The Moody Blues and. strangely enough, anything by The Lovin' Spoonful. My boss said to me a few years ago after mum died "she would not want you to be sad." Mum died on my watch, on holiday. I caused her death. I was not there. Of course, she would want me to be sad. I have a 29 year old son. If he was not sad at my death, I would be seriously pissed.
thank you so much for this upload it is fantastic, jeez i must have been 9or 10 ,such a good song by people who could actually sing and play instruments, god i am so old.
Heard this this morning for the first time in years. Didn't say the title, but luckily the station had a playlist. I wondered if it hadn't been released on this side of the Atlantic as I have never heard it, but I see now that it has.
Thanks for this rare video and the excellent stereo sound take. It's a pity that the 2 first chords in the intro have been cut and the end is also brutally cut. I still have my vinyl French copy bought in the early 70s. According to me this song is better than "Hitchin' a Ride" which was more successful in the USA.
Early in the morning
going back to a vacation in august 1969 I was staying at my great aunty Eleanor & great uncle Tom,s house in Birmingham & watched TOTP when this sound came over & these guys in white started to sing Early in the morning .....Night time is the time of day ....Don,t know what to do....When it,s early in the morning..........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Es destadable la canción presente de Carlos Javier Beltrán que lo hizo en castellano, sin duda es un trabajo excelente que nosotros destacamos con letras mayúsculas y negrita buen tema que ha sonado en todos los hogares juveniles.
this song has many cherished memories for me personally from what was going on in August 1969 moon landings , school summer holidays spent with my great aunty Eleanor &wonderful uncle Tom in Birmingham ! England cricket was in good shape thanks to Derek Underwood we actually slaughtered the West Indies { sobers, Lloyd & all } & New Zealand . Tony Jacklin won the 1969 GB Open!!!!! & to cap it all this song summed up 1969 good times by being no.8 in the UK charts..........Ah! bliss I say!

Refresh my memory anyone? Vanity Fare, they were a "two hit wonder"? [ _Early in the Morning_ and _Hitchin' a Ride_ ] Any other singles released around the world?
night time is the time of day ....I find nothing much to do ... this song is a pop classic in the true sense of the word to think that while this song was around a certain mister Armstrong was walking on the moon! & there was something in the air thanks to the madcap Andy Newman or should I say sergeant Newman ...........1969 the year!
On another website that linked to this video some folk were saying that this was a remake. (They weren't always complimentary about it either.) Vanity Fare's version is the only one I know of. Any info anyone?
John Marlin Thanks John. I just gave a quick listen to Cliff Richard and Ray Conniff. I didn't care for what I heard ... probably because I only know this one version. Anything else sounds, well, strange. - Reg.
Brings back such happy memories of my teenage years. I am 68 now but this takes me back and makes me feel young again.
One of my favourite songs of the 60s, so cheerful.
Such a fantastic music era!!! Rock on 60's & 70's
One of the most innocent songs on the planet--so sweet & light! Visions of meadows come to mind!

СПАСИБО огромное! Настоящее сокровище!
Awesome, this is a timeless song. Love there suites.
Even though I was more of a rock/folk/blues/psych man I always considered this the perfect pop song. Brilliant!
Songs like this cut to my core because I remember hearing and liking this one as a little kid, and then because of life and other things I don't hear it again until nearly 40 years later! It sounds every bit as good now, and thanks very much for posting!

Beautiful music!!
Beautiful song !
In my mid 50's jeez this song takes me back to good times. So glad to hear it again.
Hermosa canción ¡que recuerdos! (Temuco, CHILE)
Very catchy song, remember it well, love the harpsicord, we need more of that today! "Hitchin' a Ride" was a biggie as well. Just nice pop that pops.
I agree. I was 15 and I so loved this. Just sweet, easy to listen to pop. Now this song takes me back to that time living at home with my so much missed mum and dad and the innocence (to me, anyway) of those days. The song is sweetly evocative.

Trevor Brice is such a good vocalist and a lovely guy in person :) had the pleasure of singing with him in the past
This is a pretty song. I just loved it. I am not sure quite why but I think it is the innocence and the sense of the joy of the morning. I have so lost that.
It gets me too. xx
I've lost joy in everything lately. I'm so sorry for your pain. Know that people care. I care.
Memories, never heard this since 1969. Love it.
Used to play this with my boy band in 1969. A fine-uptempo dance song could bring the people on the floor.
perfect song: beautifull harmony of music, words and voices
Este grupo me hace recordar mis tiempos de rock

Canción del recuerdo 🎉😊❤
I had this record album in the early 70's. There were other non-hit songs on
it that I (and siblings) listened to.
love this group
I love those little boys dancing during the instrumental break- hilarious!

Classic pop from a classic time
Early in the morning
Know the record but first time I have seen them. Thanks for uploading.
