  • I’ve just received the Dreaming Robots Electric Eel Wheel 6 and, as I know my way around the Nano, I wanted to see just how quickly I could get the EEW6 spinning.
It took less than 9 minutes, from opening the box to spinning a yarn.
The Electric Eel Wheel 6 can be purchased at* www.dreamingrobots.com/produc...
*I am a Dreaming Robots affiliate. If you click through and make a purchase, I may receive a small percentage of the purchase price at no additional cost to you. Any income from my blog goes a small way toward funding future craft projects.
I write quite a lot about spinning on my blog at - www.craftmehappy.com. There, I frequently share how to make your own low-cost fibre tools or how to prepare fibre for a variegated yarn without having to buy a hand-painted top.

I just bought my eel wheel 6.1. You make it look so easy and fluent, like a ballet. I love watching other people spin. Thank you for the great videos

Oh thank you so much. You’re very welcome!
Practice makes progress! I’ve been spinning so long now, it’s become muscle memory. I like to spin for relaxation so I try to keep my movements slow and smooth.

Beautiful! I bought my son that electric spinning wheel, he is loving it. He and his spouse have an alpaca farm, but since he’s never spun before, I got him some wool because I told him alpaca is more slippery to spin, to practice with the wool first ;).

Thank you! Gosh, what a perfect gift.
Yes, I’ve spun quite a bit of alpaca and it’s not a ‘beginner fibre’. Not the trickiest, but you’re wise to start him off on something that isn’t too challenging to begin with.
