- For today's Tour de Fleece Stage I headed out and about to spotlight the Electric Eel Wheel 6(EEW6) and Nano to show how versatile and fun these electric wheels are*. You can even spin standing up! Dreaming Robots will be releasing a Nano2 later this year after a very successful Kickstarter campaign.

I love this video, it is so cute. You make spinning look so fun! I just started spinning with an antique CPW wheel, and I love it. However, what I have been reading CPWs are one-trick ponies that only spins very fine yarns and can't ply... I will hopefully prove these people wrong, but my back-up plan is to purchase a EEW 6.0. I love that it is affordable and apparently as reliable and sturdy as any of the other more expensive options out there.
I must say though, I checked the Züko bag and it is more expensive than the wheel... It is disappointing, because I liked that it has a hard top that serves as a support, however I would rather repurpose one of the ugly suitcases I have in my basement, at the risk of looking a bit tacky 😂
Thank you! 😊 I have seen CPW's do it all, so I'll send positive vibes your way that yours will indeed do it all! I think a larger piece of luggage would work great for the eew6! The Zucca bags I'm finding are actually a little too small to hold the wheel, accessories, and fiber neatly.

Thank you! Those are UV reactive temporary tattoos! I used them on my nano too. I like that they can be removed with a little rubbing alcohol.
Where did you find your stool??? The combination of the eew, stool, and zuka bag are genius!
It is a retractable/folding stool that I found on Amazon!
What is the little orange gadget you have attached to the front of the wheel? Where can I get one? 😊
That's a wine glass charm I use to keep my yarn end handy. I found a set on Amazon where there are tons of different styles!

I find zero difference with uptake between treadle and electric wheels. That is 100% determined by the combination between the drive speed and brake tension, no matter what kind of wheel one is on.
