This time of year your going to get the early morning bite, a midday bite around 12 or 1230ish and the. Very last light bite. Not much in between except for the stray hookup here and there. The fiah lay up and conserve more energy in the real cool water and they get lethargic, some of them do anyhow. Youll notice when you hook them and they come up head shaking and ypur hook pops.. they just dont move on food as easy unless they are actively feeding. And honestly snow melts offer the best trout migrations. Ive been fishing these lake o triba for 35 years. I consider myself a professional for sure. Go get wm
Thanks for your insight, Ryan! Everything that you said is spot on. I've noticed the same things while steelhead fishing on Ontario and Erie tribs. Granted, I've only been fishing for four years and have many more to accumulate a wealth of knowledge. Tight lines dude!
Love the old p- c mart hole
Nice trip!
Thanks Phil!
Good job
Thanks man!
Highly pressured but ridiculously stocked. It’s the hatchery.
100%. That's why the Salmon River has the largest runs by far compared to other NY Ontario tribs
That's how it's supposed to work

Jake Mcvarish?
Yes! He was out-fishing us for the most part, but was kind enough to leave a couple for the rest of us, lol
