For the most part I agree, but in many cases a teacher will have to grade hundreds of essays, and messy handwriting can slow this down significantly. I’ve heard this is the same in the case of AP test graders, they just don’t have enough time. However if the handwriting isn’t too bad and a teacher drops a grade because of it, that’s just stupid.

I'll admit I don't have the best handwriting, but even when comparing my handwriting to the most unreadable abomination on God's green earth, my mom still says that mine's worse (I'm not Indian, but Sri Lankan, so close enough lol)

Another way to help is straightening your hand as well because a lot of people write with their hands slightly tilted and slow down if you’re going too fast

I can’t even read cursive. Only one of- actually none of my teachers could write cursive yet THEY DO. I CANT READ THEIR CURSIVE BC IT’S SO BAD. If your cursive is as neat as a computer cursive font then I’ll probably be able to read it 😅
@@sheeftala cursive is legible except when you make the 'ɑ's and 'o's and 'u's all look very similar so you write "corn" and people mistake it as "cum"
Every grade that I’ve gone in my teacher says your handwriting is the best LOL😂

teacher was probably pissed off, our teacher in 1st grade would tear our notebook apart when we had messy handwriting
Some teachers are strict, teachers do get really pissed off when the student's handwriting is literally illegible.
My 3rd grade teacher used to tear the page in half then throw the notebook in the dustbin. Then asked to take it out and do it properly. 💀
@@amore377 I would've been a snotty, obnoxious kid and make a big deal out of it. I would've said, "How about you get it out for me since you're the one who threw it in there?" - A teacher should never touch anything of YOURS without permission.
I hope that teacher got fired.
@@dxrkerrxses nah that was so common back then. At that time the teachers even slapped or hit the students. Now it is not allowed here for like 7-8 years. I am in grade 10 now and I don't see those teachers in the primary wing anymore. There are a bunch of new teachers now.
