I had the same fork but the RST branded version. I remember taking it apart back in 1998 and replacing the white plastic spacers in the middle with actual springs to get more travel out of it. It worked out pretty well for the time... I ended up doing the same on two other forks for a couple of friends.
Had one when they came out. Changed elastomers for speedsprings. Made them allot better. And always had a bottle of silicone lube from rc car dampers in my pocket. And then we drilled a tiny hole on the bottom so the fork got a little more responsive. But not to much. Just to the amount we wanted. As good as it could get.
Whoahhhh! are you telling me that my black Noleen chubby LT double triple is rare? It has an Easton sticker on the bottom of both legs. I measured it maxed out and i got 5.125 inches at the max. does that ring a bell? it still has the serial number sticker too. On the bottom of both fork legs it has the 97 circle yet nothing marked .
Just picked up a Pro Flex Animal almost mint for $350, my 3rd PF to the collection. It had been in a storage unit for a very long time. Has the chubby as your video, rear suspension feels good too. Shifting and hydraulic brakes perfect. With the prices of full suspension in the 4-10k range, I’ll take the Pro Flex all day.
I love old stuff as much as the next guy, but only for historical value. I know prices seems astronomical on modern bikes but they're definitely light years ahead!
@@ButterSuspension Same here, but I ride all 3 of my PF and I have no complaints. Up hill, down hill like a dream. It's very rocky here on most trails and they glide right over them. No I maybe missing out with new tech, but that's OK with me. I have too many hobbies lol
Nice video. Working on mine as we speak, and have an overhaul set which I will mount. Q: what type of lube do you advise for these o-rings and poly spacers?
To be honest, not much. They aren't particularly rare, they aren't fancy or high tech and there's no real demand for them. Pretty sure I got my set for free...

Hey Ruben!
Pro mods from back in the day...like cutting the top out spacer from a Mag21 in half to get another 12mm!
I had a steel KHS FXT comp with a RST 381 double triple. I still have an original RST mozo pro all aluminum before the painted ones too.
Hey thanks for the info I appreciate that

I'm looking in the background, is that a red anodized GT Zaskar frame at 0:05 in a 14.5"? Anyways, nice.
It is, except it's 16"! That's the one i'm building up as a trials bike. I have a purple Zaskar too...
Hi I need help I have a white brother DS3 fork I was doing maintainess and the parts just out from the fork and I don't know how to assembling back
I'd reach out to MRP, they took over the White Brothers stuff.
Do you know how much one of these forks is worth? I have only seen it in one ebay listing attached to a bike.
