I worked for a restoration company and we built an XK 150 for an old gentleman. It was in battleship grey and to be used for travelling down to his south of France villa . He'd been a director of coutts , wore ancient brogues , ancient cardigan ( usually buttoned up wrongly ) lived in 16th century Suffolk manor house and loved making tea for the lads in the workshop . He drove an old Audi A4 and the paint had faded from red to near pink . I think he's old money .
