Hi ya Phyllis! U always out do ur self with delicious meals, and this one looks to be one to warm the bones on a chilly day! And seeing how it can be frozen I can make a big enough batch to last a week! Thank u
I don't know why I didn't see this one before. It looks delicious. I'll have to make this over the new year's weekend this year. It really looks perfect for this cooks weather. Blessings to you all. happy blessed New year everyone! be safe out there.
I'm going to make this, looks delicious. I also never thought of using the metal utensil for stirring it. Makes more sense than a wooden spoon. Nice simple ingredients too.
So SCRUMPTIOUS looking & SO similar to what my darling Gramma "Magdelena" would make for her chowders, or "stew" as she called them...Sometimes we'd eat as is or she'd replace the green pepper with corn & add a handful of chopped bacon...Other times she'd drop a large container of fresh oysters into the pot without having added any corn, green pepper or cheese...Gramma would then top our bowls with a pat of butter & a little cream & serve with homemade yeast rolls or her homemade Swedish crispbread or cracker, called something like, "Knackebrod"...??? This goes back MANY decades... : )
Oh my, that looks so delicious. Perfect for this kind of weather. I'm not that too far away from you in Charlotte and I had the same thoughts. I made a pot of Pinto Beans and some corn muffins! I was also glad to see that you didn't have any bandaids on your finger tips meaning you haven't cut yourself on your new gadget. Patrick!
OK., now Edward has to go to the shops to buy a big block of cheese. He is pretty good about it. If he knows it for your recipe. C from the little cottage in Ireland 🍀🍀🍀🎄🎄🎄
Hello Ms. Phyllis. That looks really good. Really good for a cold day. Even though we have May 3rd 2016 it isvreally cold today. Thanks for sharing. Greetings to Mr. Bucky and your Babys. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES. Greetings from Hamburg Germany
When I had the ceramic cook top must have been when I made this video. The top of the pots do not get hot until they been on the burner for a long time. The heat transfers to the bottom of the pots. I now have a coil burner cook top which I like much better, the old-fashion type. With the coil type cook top the tops of pots and skillets do get very hot.
Oh, yummy! That would go really good here in Indianapolis today....-30 wind chill! I have a question. Have you ever done a video about how you make your tea? I would be interested because I have been buying pre-made tea from the grocery and I know I could make it cheaper at home. Thanks!
You are right it's much cheaper to make tea at home. Here's a video I made some time back ua-cam.com/video/eovzQHIBhuQ/v-deo.html Hope this will help you to make your own tea at home and save a lot of money.
Can't wait to make this! QUESTIONS: I don't have bullion cubes...can I use chicken stock instead? Maybe add more salt? At what temp do you cook saute the veggies? Then, when you bring to a boil (the veggies/broth/potatoes, etc.) do you just wait for the boil then reduce the heat to med low....then continue with cheese, etc. Finally turn to low to keep warm for serving. THANKS :) PS: Hope I'm not being a pain
What’s going on with the ads you cannot skip?im not happy about it ! I’ve got this whole commercial for healthy seeds, vitamins I have the books I know all this stuff! To bad I can’t watch my video I chose!!

Ms Phyllis, I know you are in the Presence of Our Heavenly Father... but I sure do miss you ♥️🙏
Looks delicious. Too funny....I have every ingredient in my refrigerator. I’m gonna make some today.
This reminds me of Southern Living’s Cheesy Vegetable chowder my cousin gave me back in the 80’s. It IS delicious and filling.
Looks very very delicious 👍🏼
💛💛💛
That looks really good!
Yum that really looks wonderful phyllis. Love it and it's so easy. Thank you
That looks so good!!!! YUM....
looks delicious
Good idea cooking starch potatoes separate, but cooking with the others would naturally thicken soup so I would probably cook together
So delicious!! A can of clams would make it perfect.
Hi ya Phyllis! U always out do ur self with delicious meals, and this one looks to be one to warm the bones on a chilly day! And seeing how it can be frozen I can make a big enough batch to last a week! Thank u
Great tip on the potatoes. I tried cooking them separate like you said and it made a big difference. I never would have thought about that. Thanks!

I sure wish it was getting cooler here in South Carolina, the temperature today was 94 with very high humidity.

Mr. Bucky sure had a fine woman in Phyllis.

Peas would be good too, but I worry that the carrots werent cooked in any liquid so maybe cook carrots with potatoes

Looks really good!!! I'm in Wisconsin and we've had sub-zero weather for over a week now. This would go perfect!!!
love watching your videos. do you have a recipe for party potatoes?
I'm not familiar with party potatoes. Sorry.

Hey Ms. Southern frugal. ......on this cold day in New Orleans this chowder is what the doctor ordered. Happy Mardi gras from the deep South. 😀
Can I use corn starch instead of the flour? Need to be gluten free.
You can use cornstarch instead of flour.
Oh that looks so good!! Comfort food :)
looks yummy, i bet adding crab would be so good! another hit miss phyllis :)
Instead of flour, I add semolina, or polenta, and I think the soups acquire a fantastic taste and consistency.

A comforting meatless meal that looks delicious.
Phyllis how are you able to hold onto the cookware the way you did when finishing the veggies and adding the flour. Don't you burn your fingers??
When I had the ceramic cook top must have been when I made this video. The top of the pots do not get hot until they been on the burner for a long time. The heat transfers to the bottom of the pots.
I now have a coil burner cook top which I like much better, the old-fashion type. With the coil type cook top the tops of pots and skillets do get very hot.
You could use this for cream of broccoli soup. Just steam your broccoli ahead of time.

Well I found dinner for tomorrow!😊

Chicken stock would be even better than bouillon.
Did you use olive oil on the kale, or canola?
I mostly use the "Light Tasting Olive Oil" from Walmart.
Hi Phyllis! Do you have a receipe for cream of chicken soup? Love your channel.

Have you ever bought packages of chopped veggies to save time? Also, have you ever used stem onions instead of regular onions - not as overpowering?
I usually like to chop my own veggies. By stem onion I think you mean green top onions, I have used these before and often.
That chowder looks amazing Phyllis, I'm going to try this recipe out real soon.
