Being a dispatcher myself, this was fun to watch. I would have expanded that nice little double track section directly into Cumbernauld 4 though, without the crossing option towards Easterhouse. That would have created only one conflict point at the entrance of Bridgeton instead of the 2 that you have now.

The game is very well done and realistic in a sense of the schematics that are being used for the tracks, signals, displays of the locked path and the moving train and such things. Hence, when I first saw this video, it was actually very relatable to me. The more realistic part will come into play when pretty much everything is going to be automated in the game with the different sensors, and the trains basically steer themselves to their destinations. Paying fees in case a train is late on schedule would be a death spiral in reality, since the infrastructure operator wouldn't be able to expand the network if they had that Damokles sword above its head... on the other hand, you wouldn't plan a schedule that the current network isn't able to handle in the first place.
Bit more "spinning plates" than I prefer for my games, but I do enjoy watching when someone does it right, so more of these would be fine for me as a viewer.

I enjoy this type of game, and this one in particular! You still have two sections of single track by each station, once you have 2 platforms at both stations you can just double up the track all the way rather than just passing loops and not have those bottlenecks.

Been playing this game for a few months now and it's loads of fun. Love the differenct game modes. Wanna play chilled? It's got you covered and can be really relaxing......But wanna play manic mode and get stressed out? Yep. Got that as well! :D
Just one little hint. As long as you use manual signals, and you accidentally set a switch in the wrong direction, you can deactivate the signal, once the train has passed over it. The track will turn from green to white again, then you can manipulate any switch along the way. However keep in mind, this will not work once you have installed Autosignals.

Just came back to this game and it's totally different. The UI which was very intuitive now looks completely different and confusing. What the hell happened?
It reminds me of Sim Sig. The difference is the ability to build track and unlock upgrades. Whereas Sim Sig is based on real life routes, timetables and UK signalling software. It does allow for multiplayer as well. It's definitely worth playing if you want a real world experience. I would happily buy rail route and while away hours on it. I like games that involve logistics and problem solving.
SIMSIG is the one I'm familiar with. Stopped playing because there were some scenarios where you received an impossible route due to a train length exceeding the available reversing track length. I forget which layout that was, but it had mining trains arriving from the top and heading to multiplate platforms on the right and a second screen of layout to the left. Multiplayer sounds awesome though, perhaps I'll give it a go again
I'm looking forward to seeing what the unlocks are. At this stage, it's far too spinning plates for me to play long term, but that is often the case at the start of automation games. "Here's why doing it manually sucks. Let's never do that again."

Only issue would be that he would have to restart. They wiped all saves so there are many hours lost for that game....
