Our Review of Klean Kanteen's TK Wide Bottle 32oz Chug Cap - Is It Good?

Klean Kanteen quickly became one of the leading bottle brands when it burst onto the scene with its stainless-steel bottles in 2004. But more recently, other brands have caught up with, and in some cases overtaken, Klean Kanteen’s market share by introducing stylish bottles with dual wall insulation. In late 2020, Klean Kanteen finally released an insulated bottle called the TKWide series.
So was the TKWide bottle worth the wait? We purchased a 32-ounce TKWide with a chug cap to find out. We’ll let you know our thoughts and what you can expect if you buy one yourself.

They sell tkwide loop caps for tkwide bottles separately that prevent from plastic-liquid contact.

How does the water come out? Does it basically just pour? Looking for something like this, but don't want it to become air-locked and difficult for the water to come out. Thanks in advance!

I really like all the environment and social commitments and their steel recycling percentage on they products.
I'm between Yeti and this guys. Still a few things that I don't like from both but I would go for KK... the lack of sizes pulls me back and seen this video, the chug lid takes quite a while to shut off(count 6 seconds).
Don't know if Yeti has some environmental & social commitments,... I was looking information about that but couldn't find anything,... that's very disappointing.
Any thoughts?

Both YETI and Klean Kanteen seem to do a good job on the environmental and social front (at least as far as what I can find online).
YETI releases an ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) report each year that goes over some of their environmental pledges and goals. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of another bottle like this right now. Klean Kanteen is the only brand I've seen that really takes no-plastic seriously all the way up to the underside of the lid, and that's just with their non-insulated bottles. All the insulated bottles I've seen have plastic under the lid that can touch the water. It's probably more difficult to make a dual-wall insulated stainless steel lid. Hopefully some of our other viewers can let us know if they know of a different bottle brand with an insulated option that has keeps any plastic from touching the water, even under the lid. We'd love to hear about it too!

@@bottlepro3252you can get Hydro Flask bottle and buy their stainless steel cap separately, and then I don’t think the water will touch any plastic. Haven’t bought it yet, but seriously considering it.

Can hold hot drink like coffee etc for hours with chug cap? Or I must be change with loop cap?

I don't have a loop cap to test, but I wouldn't be surprised if the loop cap has better insulation than a chug cap if you would want the best insulation possible. However, if you only need to keep your drink hot for half a day or so, then a chug cap should still be a good option. Hope this helps!

Thanks, hopefully the videos have helped! Yea, the TKWide caps should fit fine with any TKWide bottle size. We've only tested the 32oz, but from what we've read on Klean Kanteen's site, the TKWide caps are compatible with any of the TKWide bottle sizes. I reached out to Klean Kanteen to double-check and will update this comment in a day or two if this is incorrect.
And be sure to get a TKWide series bottle since the cap won't fit in any other Klean Kanteen bottle types!

Yea, you should be good to swap out the caps. Just make sure you're matching TKWide caps with TKWide bottles since these caps won't work with other Klean Kanteen bottle types.
