Brilliant review. Your criticality about the cap is welcome. I need to find insulated water bottle to fill a small Japanese teapot. I was looking at this but the pour looks too messy. Any other recommendations for a small insulated water bottle with a clean pour? Thank you.

I really like Lauren as a presenter. I cringed when I saw the video was 7 minutes just for a water bottle, but her flow is wonderful and she hits on all the negative and positive aspects in a timely manner.
I have a serious water bottle collection/ addiction and have a KleanKanteen which I do like for certain purposes. I was intrigued by the pour-through cap but immediately thought about the dribbles. I think they were smart in introducing this in a large size because as a water bottle I think it has its purpose but I can't imagine putting tea or anything with sugar or that would dribble and stain in it. But, as a water bottle I would consider it. Thanks for the review!

This klean kanteen is just using the TKpro cap from the thermos . If you have the TKpro and one of the new classic water bottles you can switch and match the two! I have a 20oz brushed stainless insulated bottle and the cap matches fine but i dont really see much advantage in it? And i hate the metal on metal graiting sound you get with it! I am a big fan of klean kanteen and i think they win hands down over Hydro Flask and it is so easy to buy spares or alternative lids for them especially here in the UK.

I have the same bottle, down to the color, for over a month. I still watched the video coz Pack Hacker. The pour through feature is useful but you have to really tip it to avoid the dribble issue to an extent. Even then, sometimes it still dribbles. I hate how loud it is when I open the cap too. I also am a little disappointed at the lack of quality control with regard to its coating. I received my bottle with a little defect with coating consistency in a small portion. It seems like when a brush bristle gets stuck with the paint on a freshly painted wall. I didn't bother contacting the company as I needed the bottle immediately and it didn't affect the functionality of the bottle. I still like the bottle despite these nitpicks and love their mission.

I'm failing to see how this is better than just unscrewing a regular cap entirely.

Hello-It is because-if it contains hot liquids, unscrewing the cap completely drastically reduces the temperature each time.

@@britopic8751 drastically? I'm not a physicist but isn't that the point of an insulated bottle in the first place?

@@PaulHo the insulation works best if the bottle is kept sealed. basicaly each time u unscrew the cap entirely, the heat/cold gets out. keeping the bottle minimally open prevents the heat/cold from getting out and the warmer/colder outside air from getting in too much. same principle applies for fridges.

It doesn't lose heat and is more convenient since you don't have to deal with a lid to hold or put somewhere while outdoors.

There is no paint-free lip, so if you drink directly from it you will probably get flaking paint inside you.

How disappointing. I thought they had figured out a cap you can drink from any side, but this is basically a normal container.

You use a water bottle more than a lot of travel gear-so why not treat it the same? Thanks for the comment! 😃
