I just now realized that the woman never assimilated to Centaurworld! She is still in the human art style because she was so focused on what was happening on the other side of the rift rather than making where she was a home! 😢
@@placenamehere4 But he and Rider are herd-mates now. And she told him he could keep the knife. They can talk, Stabby and Rider are alive. Unlike the General.
1:35 S2 was poorly paced, but its finale was just... SO well handled. The very best tragedies are ones that simultaneously dance that line of "what could have been" and "it HAS to be this way." The Deertaur's clear remorse for "his" actions makes us pity him -even wish to spare him- while deep down we understand that the world-spanning horrors we've witnessed CANNOT be forgiven. It MUST end this way, even if _nobody_ is happy about it.
I agree with that poor pacing. I also think that the ending of the finale (just the end scene, not the whole episode) felt weak. Just after everything it hits you with, “we’re all doing great now, look at us have fun.” …I don’t know, you may disagree, but I just felt off about it.
Yeah it kinda felt like centaur world couldn’t decide who their target age range was. It had major problems with flip flopping between absolutely stunning and dark moments like that ending, and scenes that are just annoyingly crude that they kinda feel like they’re targeted at toddlers.
@@humanperson2480 yeah, I know right? Maybe they did it on purpose to fit the theme of like: “this show seems like it’s for toddlers, but anyone could watch it!” Not sure
@@zulius7707 I think the 'problem' of the ending is that... well, we're not there yet. The happy ending, while hopeful, rings a bit hollow considering various goings on. Some things improving in some areas, while other areas... well, let us just say the nowhere king's power grows.
The Princess lost literally everything to the elktaur's warring halves. The human half was selfish and narcissistic. The Elk half became a monsterous tyrant to unleash the anguish he had been feeling since the separation. Both sought to destroy the other, destroying all she had held dear in the wake of their war.
And then blame it all on her. Like damn, even if she’s out of the picture, I think they’ll still fight to the death. So nope, no more of Elktaur’s bs manipulating her.
The part where Rider tries to ride Wammawink is hilarious because unlike horses that don’t talk the don’t tell you how to ride them they just allow you to or not. 0:44
I agree. It's hard to articulate what was so off about the first several episodes of Season 2, but I feel like it was trying too hard to be Season 1, if that makes sense? Not talking about the recapping bits so much as the feel that they were trying to recreate what made the first season such a fun adventure...only, a joke's never quite as funny the second time it's told, especially when the retelling seems more forced. And I don't know why but some of the characterizations felt off in places compared to S1. And suddenly the backstory of Ched's horse hatred gets changed? I dunno, the last few episodes - particularly the flashbacks into The Nowhere King's origins and the overall ending - made up for it, ending on a note that was such a lovely mix of bitter and sweet. I just wish the entire second season was as solid as the entire first had been.
If she leave him alive, she couldn’t move on with the conscious guilt of setting a murderer free. But Elktaur has broken bones from the cliff kick(human side) and radiation fleshes(Elk side). I doubt he will survive any longer than one week, give or take.
@@Daniel-on6dm late reply, but its just awkward due to Wammawink being a centaur so she's half human instead of just a normal horse, and having never been ridden before, so neither of them really knew how to work with it

So, how come the Elk half of the Nowhere King like... become the Nowhere King? Why did he turn into skele-goo and such? It never really explained where the corruption came from which I found a bit odd.
I think it was from making those combinations. I think it made him like goopy and gross as karma or something. They honestly never explained it well but that’s what I think was the reason
When he was showing the key to the princess he mentioned radiation, and he used that thing a lot, and not the way it was meant to be used either. That's what happens to someone who uses a radioactive magic artifact over and over for a thing it was never designed for you. They turn into goop.
First, I didn't like how rider survived. I thought it would have meant more to character growth if she had a sweet moment with horse and passed. Because when she recovered, it completely took away from that sweet moment. I really felt for that loss until I saw her and felt cheated out of that feeling. Second, the princess Cause all of this! I really dislike how she just seemed to get away Scott free. She Knew about the elk! But instead of confronting the general, she sneaks him off. If she had brought elk to the general and explained she loved them both for who they are. He could have re-fused and avoided this Whole War. Her releasing elk and not telling Anyone, Continuing her life is what caused this! The split was the start but she amplified it. They don't even touch on how she know elk was even there and how she felt!
