I’m on day 4 with my 2024 palisades calligraphy. I had a down payment on the night edition but couldn’t get over the suede seats, I run a fabrication shop and all i thought about was getting them dirty. The dealership was also 2k over MSRP. I ended up going to a different dealership and getting the regular calligraphy under MSRP. The satin/chrome has grown on me and I’m real happy with the decision. If they kept the Napa leather seats in the night edition i probably would’ve gotten that.
Same with me the only reason I didn’t get the night was because of the seats thought I wouldn’t like the satin grill but this is just a nice nice vehicle recommended for anyone looking
just took delivery of my white 24 night edition and i absolutely love it i came from a 23 kona n and i have to say i have 0 regrets only thing i dont like is the exhaust and how the front windows dont match the same tint as the back but thats fixable though absolutely love this
BMW could learn from Hyundai. If you get the Captains Chairs in the X7, they won't fold flat like in this Palisade. Also, the row amenities are excellent! Very nice review!
Just bought a white night edition, and yes i was skeptical about the suede, but i also font like leather. Hate sloding around in it while driving. Love the Palisade black and white combo. I did opt for protection package
This 2024 Hyundai Palisade calligraphy night edition looks sinister and ginormous with fully black trim even though this is the third-row trim the seats are very comfortable for some third-row vehicles like this one those are very pain in the ass when it comes to the third-row seats every row have napa leather with nice stitching substituted all the seats under the hood there's no powertrain option still going to 3.8 l v6 8-speed automatic all-wheel drive making 291 hp 262 pound-feet of torque harmony card on is one of my favourite sound system overall this calligraphy fully loaded trim is absolutely fantastic if you will have money wheels are also nice especially glittering blink grill looks very interesting overall this vehicle is upscale thanks drew and Masan for making this review
Caught myself by surprise and bought this Palisades on Halloween the day before I was scheduled to put down a deposit on an Incognito Lexus TX550H Premier (which was to be delivered in 2-3 weeks). No question that the Lexus is an incredible drive quality but I honestly couldn’t justify the $18k price differential considering the amount of features you get on this palisades model. It may have been a different story if I could’ve gotten a Grand Hylander Hybrid Max but I was extremely underwhelmed by the gas-only grand hylander and the max versions have no ETA per every dealer I could speak with. I’ve had my palisades all of 2 days now and am extremely happy I went this route. I am getting the front windows tinted and have only one recommendation to Hyundai - get rid of that chrome side accent. I’m having a chrome delete vinyl installed but save everyone the trouble and go full “night” mode….
Another good report from the bros. Here are my suggestions to make these reports even better: Cut out the early videos of when you were young, and also the basket ball court thing. Replace these bits with more tech info, such as what type of suspension does the vehicle have - is it IRS or beam axle etc. Then, explain the benefits or otherwise. My favourite part of their reports however, is the sound level check. That is so important if you use a car daily, especially on long runs. Looks good but i wish reviewers that give high praise to these Hyundai kia vehicles do follow up with owners they influence to buy these and mechanics and NHTA
Wife has a first year 2020 Telluride and daughter has a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. Neither one has ever had any issue mechanically. Elantra (white) had a paint issue known to Hyundai which has been re-painted at no cost. Kia has had a few recalls which were non-impacting to us fixed immediately. It’s as much about the customer service as it is the vehicle itself and we are fortunate to have excellent people to work with. I’ve owned Hondas and recently traded in my 2021 4runner TRD pro and all have been good to us. My personal mechanic has had no issues with the tellurides or palisades he services as well. All the best -
I have a 2019 Audi Q7 Prestige that I bought a year ago pre-owned and currently have 63,000 miles on it. I'm worried about the reliability and maintenance costs long-term. I'm considering trading it in for a new palisade Calligraphy night edition. What that be a smart move?
I disagree about the suede seats. I had alcantara seats on my Audi A4 and loved the seats. Compared to same model of car with similar mileage, alcantara seats held up way better than the other leather seats. The don’t stretch out and look as crappy as they age. I would 100% recommend alcantara seats and would definitely opt for alcantara seats over the leather seats. Yes for spills with kids may be a little tougher to clean, but definitely worth it imo
So would I. I have similar experiences. Also, I live in SW Florida, leather or plastic seats burn your arse off in the heat. Same in the North when it gets cold too, freezes your arse off!
12:01 It’s actually nice that Hyundai added legroom for kings versus vehicles like the Highlander where is just for kids and uncomfortable for a road trip.
Well, you better buy you Palisade/Telluride with the N/A v6 engine while you still can, because the next generation models including the hybrid will be all turbocharged.
Someone has one of these at work, and it is an AWESOME looking vehicle! If I wanted a full size SUV, this is what I would buy!!! I own the younger brother, TUCSON, with the same blacked out grille!!! 🩷👌🎊 Have owned Hyundais since 2011. 😃
I’m always love black trims on my car if they have a silver trims I would black them all out and love the black wheels also . This is a nice car but I had a new model of Qx60 already 😂👍
It looks sooooo good in a monochrome scheme. The battle-shield grille looks much better toned down. The only miss for me is the chrome window surround, but a quick wrap will take care of that. Hyundai/Kia most certainly listens to their customers. Buyers lost their minds when the Telluride got rid of the amber LEDs, and they restored them. And Hyundai listened to the customers that preferred less chrome on their loaded Palisades. Even with a crop of new CUVs like the CX90, Pilot, and the forthcoming GM twins, these are still highly sought-after.
I LOVE watching your reviews, so that poses a question for you, as my owners manual doesn’t say much. I purchased a brand new 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Sel, about 2 months ago. I love it, question is what does the snow driving mode do, I live in northeast Wisconsin and we tend to get a lot of snow. Does this drive mode provide better traction or something similar to that. Reason for asking is your reviewing a Hyundai Palisade, which may have the same drive mode. Thanks for the potential feedback.
Thank you! Here's what Hyundai says which sums it up very nicely: “The Drive Mode System’s Snow Mode adjusts front and rear torque distribution, left and right wheel slip control, engine torque and shift patterns according to available traction levels.”
Nice review but saying “that will electronically slide the seat out of the way” will confuse some viewers into thinking the 2nd row is motorized when it’s just spring action. You can say they have an electronic latch though :)
On the models before 2023 without Navi, the car play is wireless. 23 and 24’s all come with the 12.3 infotainment screen with Navigation and wired car play. As has been said, you can add an attachment for wireless. I guess it would be nice to have wireless, but plugging it in hasn’t been a problem for me.
Enjoyed the review. Not really interested in the night edition and certainly not for the premium pricing. I see they still use the messy suede roof liner too. Wonder if they finally added any third row lighting.
Though its a nice car,but i don't appreciate car without gear sticks !!! sorry ..... hyundai should have put a gear sticks in this budget friendly yet amazing vehicle.
Night Edition... Hyundai proceeds to keep the windows trims chrome as well as the exhaust. Why do manufacturers do this? They should blacken everthing. No chrome!
I wish this was available when I traded in my '21 Calligraphy for a '23. I've regretted making the trade because I highly prefer the '21's aesthetic appeal, especially the rims & grill. The '21 had far more originality. It feels like they tried to make the '23 "classier". The blackout trim on this does a great job camouflaging the things I'm not happy with. I'll, definitely, be picking this up in '25 when my lease expires

Car looks really really nice, except for the steering wheel. I don’t know why Hyundai wanted to go with that kind of design instead of three spoke design. It is so ugly that I do not want this car. No matter how much I am drawn into this car everytime I see one, this steering wheel is too much of a turnoff to me. After all, I would be seeing the steering wheel while driving. So sad, because the car is very nice otherwise.
Still looks like a station wagon to me from the side. Hate the shifter’s on the steering wheel too. This vehicle went down in CR ratings. Love the V6 however.

Jack up the price and take out the leather. And no wireless Apple CarPlay? That pissed in my Cheerios BIG TIME. I was just looking at a white Calligraphy Night but I’m saying hell no because of the Alcantara seats. That’s some BS right there. And wireless Apple CarPlay is in my current 2021 vehicle so that’s some more BS right there. EPIC FAIL Hyundai. EPIC FAIL.
