It's over 50 years since the doors released their musical gifts to the world and the music still sounds as fresh today as it did 50 years ago, incredible!! 🎵🎶👏
These old videos still amaze me !!! The Doors were so unique and nobody has ever done anything like them - they blasted their genius hyper rock n roll music into peoples minds and the enjoyment is still alive !!! Jim , Ray , Robby and John had their own special skill and they brought it all together for one of the most amazing bands of all time !!!

I never get tired of listening to these guys, so many great songs.
It's crazy bc they were only a band for a short time. Imagine if Jim would have lived through the 70s even and died in the early 80s?! Jim prolly would have taken some time off got right and been better than ever before making at least one more great album. No one will ever know what was inside Jim's head when he died but it's fun to think about!!

@@williamnimbach6419I always thought he was murdered. He was anti establishment and gave the finger to authority like no one before or since. They took Janice, then Jimi, and Jim in quick succession. Just my opinion but each had some weird circumstances surrounding their deaths. Jimi was almost definitely drowned.

This music video was made in 1983 for the "Alive She Cried" album promotions on MTV. In the 80s they also made two music videos for Strange Days and Roadhouse Blues. In the 90s they made videos for The Changeling and Break on Through. All videos using the same archival 16mm footage, and all videos being produced and supervised by Ray.

I remember watching this video back in 1983 I was a freshman in high school and I don't remember where I saw that but I guess it was MTV like you said I was just confused by then because I knew this group was in the 60s but it looks so modern
My friends Jim and Ken Collier promoted the bayfront disaster.

There are two times I could have met him. When I was hanging out with Velvet underground in New York and down in Miami when he was coming in for that concert

I remember being 11, on a school bus, going on some field trip. This was the EARLY nineties, so I had my walkman, my GIGANTIC headphones, and the Doors' Greatest Hits album; and i just jammed out, that whole bus ride. I fell in love with the Doors, as a kid; and it has only grown stronger, over the years. I'm 43, now, and the Doors are still one of my absolute favorite bands, of all time.
That was me in the early 80's with my big Sony Walkman 😂
