The car came out super nice, we had a lot of fun with this project, thank you my brother for invited me to make this video together, thank you very much, I really appreciate it very much.
Nice work Pedro.
Great finish Pedro, Brian is lucky to have such a good friend 🙏
@@gofastwclass thank you 🙏
@@gofastwclass thank you 🙏
Dude you deserve all the recognition and credit you get. I started painting a lot more recently and learned so much through your videos. Huge Thanks for that
Looks like all 55 Chevy , possibly a sedan with the roof cut off to make a convertible/roadster. Came out great!
1 k sealer is maybe 60 bucks. I'm a budget guy and still used it on my last car and it worked well and provided a smooth surface for my paint. Last thing I want is unexpected reactions. Painting at home has enuf challenges without taking extra risks😬
100% sealer is the way to go with something like this
I painted for years and you are a great painter but Pedro knows what he's doing to
He is a natural
Great looking project! Is a 55 chevy 4 door with rear door area cut out and body shortened. Then roof cut off to give convertible look😁
Nice to see a classic getting some love in the paint booth. Shops around here won't touch anything that isn't a late model insurance spritz job. That b&w convertible will make a sweet daily driver and looks more than good enough for cruise nights
Thank you !
Really nice work. An airbrush Chrome strip dividing the two colors would look killer
Brian, that car came up top notch. I love watching you paint mate. You remind me of my old man and how the gun just glided in his hand like a bird.
56 chevy with 55 tail lights would be my guess. 56 had bullet tail lights. Awesome paint job!
Great video and good series. Thanks for the mention of tape, abrasive, and spraygun details but I may have missed the clearcoat you used; I’ll check again but thanks for the great videos.
Always love to see the crisp contrast. Nice job. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your comments 🙏
The time lapse music 👍🏼 nice change up from EDM most people use
That 3m gun has a nice fan pattern plus it laid the material down really good 👍
Love that gun
Thank you, I just asked about two-tone classics on the FB page about 2 weeks ago. This has important info I can use on my 55 Packard this spring.
Packard? Alright👍 I'm a huge Packard fan😁
Looks nice great job!I love painting these types of projects because it really takes a break away from the usual collision jobs which can get boring at times .I think a metallic blue with that white 2 tone would’ve looked really badass !
It’s fun!! I agree with you.
I think anything better than black and white would look actually good. We aren't here to hide the vehicle.
There is nothing better than freshly clear-coated black paint!
Great to see you guys doing classic cars. To. Looks real nice
Looks great. I'd like to see and hear that car when is ready...
Owner said spray it with spray cans? Wow, I bet they are gonna be blown away when he or she sees the final result! Nice work as always.
Ty!!! Sure was
Came out really nice I injoyed waching this video stay safe Brian
It’s a 56 bel air convertible with 55 quarter panels. Looking good
Beautiful work as always Brian 😎, and of course Pedro from scorpion paint , Muy bien trabajo amigo!
Looks awesome old school ✊😄👍
I'd love to see a Concours paint series on your channel one day.
I still use my old Walcom GEO for base application. It is so efficient and lays metallics perfectly.
Definitely looks like a 55 Chevy Bel Air
FYI us old school custom painters never use fine line tape. We use regular tape and put light coats over the tape lines.
Gloss Gloss Gloss ! Looks good great job !
Awesome job painting the car 👍👍
Awesome job
Good job guys!!!
Wow that came out nice. It is art. Love watching the transformation. Great video.
Love the classic car. Paint job well
super nice job, we want a car polishing video too friend
I’m digging that music!
The skunk turned out very pretty
Preparing to spray my car this spring, I am considering getting a pop-up awning and wrapping it in painters plastic. The thing that sticks in my head is finding something wide enough to park the car in and paint the sides comfortably. I really like the set up you use. So kind of a goofy question but how wide is your paint booth.
... spray can finish... hahaha DETAIL is what this world Lack anymore.... and I have to be very detailer oriented as a photographer and image editor....so I love and enjoy so much watching people who are so so handy. More than just a good job.
It’s entirely a 55 Chevy, but it’s a “shorty”. Means it was a 4 door that was chopped in half and shortened into a 2 door with standard 4 door doors.
The hybrid car - a mix of vehicles - could be called Cuban 😎
Looks like a shortened 4 door made into a convertible
That's what it is!
@@jeremybeavin9737 I never liked them, it's a waste of a car
looks great
Awesome video. Always fun to get away from the collision jobs every once in a while. I love these types of jobs
It’s awesome to work on something different. You’re right!! Thanks for watching
Wow i love it i love it. Its beautiful that's what i call perfect 👍🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯👨🎓
The job is marvelous, taking into consideration the condition of the body before painting. Bravo!
Awesome job. Maybe you can start another channel doing DIY muscle care or rod garage paint how to.
mmm I love bumping heavy metal with these overalls. Lately I've been kicking some raw hardstyle stuff feelin like a machine lol. Has a similar emotional effect to heavy metal for sure
Brian I love the fact that you stepped a little bit out of your comfort zone and it still looks rocking
Hey bud how ya doing ?
@@PaintSociety I can no longer do my headlights I'm so disappointed I miss it so much I'm definitely trying to stay busy all that time in the hospital and then lying in bed watching your videos always made me happy I'll stop down soon and see you in the fellas
@@headlampsrmylife9451 come by some time. We miss ya and wish you better health my brother
Nice job, the car turned out really well. I agree though, it needs a molding
It came out really nice 👌 I like it a lot
its nice to see nice paint on an old car rare these days all these people think clear coated rust looks good that makes me puke so great job
They said that the bodywork wasn’t perfect and it was a budget job, but it looks really really nice and maybe in person it doesn’t look as good but I think if it were my car I’d be very happy.
That lower line is KILLING me going the opposite way! Nice finish though.
Saludos Pedro buen trabojo en las líneas
It's a 55 chevy someone made a shorty out of
In the booth it definitely seemed much shorter as you mentioned
That was a 4 door 55 chevy they chopped down to a 2 door and made it a convertible.
Wow! Beautiful work!
That was beautiful work
Sweet guy's love your channel rock on brother
The back looks like maybe a 53' chevy four door back end with 55' tail lights, but that's just a guess.😜
Love your videos. As far as this car goes I would say that the front section is 55 Chevy and the rear looks like that of 55 Plymouth Belvedere. Very cool concept combining the two.
The back is a 55 chevy
Sorry, but it is not a Chevy 55 rear quarters. The 55 rear quarters where level and didn't slant down as those in the video. Take a look at the 55 Plymouth Belvedere and you will see the same rear quarters. Also pay particular attention to the rear wheel well openings. Not 55 Chevy. Plus, they said the car was a hybrid. I have owned 55, 56, and 57 Chevy's. I know those cars.
@@danielparsons3956 Sorry the 55 Plymouth has a totally different trunk.
@@bessforman1773 Yes, the trunk is a 55 chevy but the rear quarters are not.
@@danielparsons3956 You have your opinion.
Looks good 👍
Pedro is damn good, nice job!
Another great video, thanks!!
Very good job and your videos are great 👍
You dogged that car out a little bit. Put some sort of moldings on it? Really? 😂 Paint job turned out beautiful! Love the channel.!
Sup Brian.... love the classics!!! Any chance you can get a chevy c10 on a shirt? I'd buy 2 in every color...
Very good paintwork maan!
The tu-tpne paint line is gonna be hard to trim with your funky angles (especially the lower rear angle). There is no dip in the body line right to the rear of the car door -fender height. That means the rear is a wagon or the car started life as a 2 door handyman wagon(or sedan delivery) all other bodystyles (including 4 dr's) had that dip under the rear side glass. This is where OEM chrome angled up to.
This whole car was mashed up and put together. I don’t think there will even be chrome. Was just for fun
Great job
Nice quick job! But did you guys sand that intercoat clear are paint the black directly over the intercoat clear. I'm bout to try my 1st custom 2tone paint job in a few days!
Very nice work new subscriber
This is just another 55 Chevrolet! The front clip may have been from a Bel-Air and the rest just a 150 or 210?
The only difference is that the holes for the trim are drilled in different places.
It's all the same sheet metal, it's absolutely a 55 because it has the square rear wheel openings as to where the 56 (Which is the exact same car) just has prettier "swoopy" rear wheel openings as did the 57
I love a nice 55
You are a badass ! I love your work man , also learn allt from you man thank you 😊
Looks like 55 oldsmobile rear half or a 55 Pontiac?
I love your channel !!!! I've learned so many great tips, and have become a much better painter. Thank you for the videos and much love bro. God bless and happy holidays!!! @PaintSociety
Merry Christmas !
How about a review on them walcom guns 😊.
Car looks good man, way better than spray can! Great job, good tips. Awesome collaboration with scorpion piant again.
Nice job😁
Looks like a 4-door, made into a 2-door, with top cut off-
The back end looks like either a Buick or Oldsmobile. By the tail lights.
Profundo ! Deep !
Spray can vs Pedro :D
You best man
Looks like a 55 Chevy convertible to me .
Dope video
Gotta say it takes stones to put colour coat over some break throughs but…. You the pros !
Hey Brian! I'm about to attempt a two tone project myself. Would there be a definite hard line where the two colors meet? Would I need to sand it down before clear?
I need some advice for blending some touchup spots on 2017 chevy colorado.
Should of brought the line an inch further from the door jamb. Some room for a chrome strip..
I have a few questions. I'm currently working on my 77 Dodge Ram and, I'm currently using a long board sander air powered and a bosch random orbital electric sander. I'm thinking of buying an air powered either an orbital or a DA. I can't buy both since I'm doing this on a tight budget. The truck bed has a few areas that are towards the larger size. What would you suggest
Posably the rear half is a Kaiser Henry J.
Do I need a water based clear for metallic silver/chrome paint?
My chrome turns milky gray when I clear it.
Wanted to share a fail with you. I wanted to do some subtle metal flake on a custom job. I mixed the metal flake (.004) with the base. Then hit it with some candy clear to make it pop. It had the look I wanted (I called it ghost flake) but what I noticed afterward is the base coat did not have the adhesion to be a stable base. It would literally peel off like an orange. Is there a product I can add to the base to correct this?
Feel better (heavy cold?)
these cars theres nothing BUT the best, as i owe a ute holden,hx hz 1977/78
i had to paint it myself with what, RAPTOR colour mixed"SOUL CHERRY RED"have no coise, 1st it's parked outside our unit, damages scratches take place from everywhere, and so on, lie your work mate, your a great DYNAMITE,
Well the first track of music.
Just plain BADA$$!!!!
What would it cost to get a car painted by you guys and where are you located
