Man, one thing you can never say about George Lynch is that he's boring on the guitar. One of the most interesting and hard-working players out there, he lives and breathes music and has his own voice. May he grace us with his presence for long time to come.
@@josearalat joking, right? For a metal guy, his blues jazzy hybrid work here is a radical departure for what he puts out on record, and he kills it. Lynch is king
THIS was my guitar hero growing up. Eddie was cool, Page, Hendrix and Gilmour are all right there...but Lynch is the one who really made me want to play. He has some of the best solo's ever recorded and his rhythm work is supreme. Clean, articulate and a vibe all his own. Don't believe me? Just listen to the guitar work on Lightning Strikes Again. Or It's Not Love. Matter of fact, I think I will head there right now to get some inspiration....
@@stricknine8623 I remember reading an interview with Yngwie back in the 80s and he said that those were the only two players he actually LIKED!! HAHAHA!! Now THAT is some high praise right there!!...
@Kent Horvath look up the article on the gear page...it's called George Lynch has a unique style of playing.... Google it and then come back and talk... I'm not the only one who read that interview with Yngwie...
I met George once, around mid 80’s. I walk into a guitar shop and there he is! I gathered some nerve and introduced myself only to find a down to earth regular kind of guy. I would even say kind of talkative. He was kind enough to play in front of me. Then Boom! After all these years KXM shows up! Great music.
George Lynch on guitar one of the few that stood out during the Eddie Van Halen era had a great sound and the man knew his way around the fretboard for sure..Dokken was a band to be reckoned with..
I did not expect to hear all this from George!! He's a real..actual straight blues guy too....those flatted 5ths... still George...holy f.. some of the most interesting playing I've ever heard by G. Wow!
George Lynch - literally a living legend - SO much technique and feel and a sound that you recognize instantly - I've been a fan since the 80's hair metal days !! Also a genuine nice guy , humble and helpful , and class act musician - I hope he keeps performing for many years to come !!
This needs to be cherished and looked after , to many of these shops have gone now . Im still lucky enough to still have a local guitar shop to go to who I know and trust and tgey know me to , can't be beat.
George really listens to what is going on around him. His improv skills are really, seemingly, a thoughtful process. He has been my most influential guitarist since the 80s. A true elite player.
I agree At first I thought the pickguard was a little funky but then the more I'm looking at it I'm thinking that is the coolest thing ever it just blends in so well with the neck and headstock
Oh man George Lynch...I was a huge Dokken fan back in highschool 1986 - 1990.!! George is such an under rated guitarist...he is right up there with the best of the best.!!!
george is one of the coolest guitar legends walking the earth today. he always seems to be completely down to earth without the ego that comes with his legendary status...whatever trip he got on in the last decade I hope he stays there because he is a great ambassador for the instrument .
I honestly believe George when he says “What’s a progression?” and “I don’t know chords.” It just shows the greatness of George’s ear and creative instincts. Unlike so many players on UA-cam who explain every aspect of their playing based on chord shapes and music theory, George just hears the music and plays it with a a God-given organic style that makes sense to him musically. One of my favorite players for sure.
Absolutely,..It seems so weird hearing him not play in the style that he did for soo many years... "Under Lock And Key" "Tooth and Nail" "Back for the Attack" are what made George Lynch,..George Lynch.
GEORGE is so down to earth, I can see myself hanging out with him and not feeling star struck.such a inspiration to all guitarist.back for the attack is the album that introduced me to his magnificent playing when I was a kid,I must of been 12 at the time.
George is the reason i started playing very humble guy and my idol, but the sad thing he smokes a lot of the so called greats out there ,in my opinion he's one of the best guitar players out there
Grew up a huge Dokken fan. His shit in Heaven Sent, Back for the Attack, Dream Warriors, Mr. Scary was awesome. Lynch Mob was kickass. I actually lost track of him for some years. I see this and he’s fingerpicking like a champ. Guy is never boring to listen to.
My god those Strats. She never ages, does she. Like a fine woman. Leo, ably assisted by Bill, George and Freddie, they really created something very special, didn't they? A timeless classic.

Hell Yeah! The Dream Warrior, Mr. Scary himself!! I swore for a second he was going to start playing “It’s Not Love”!! His tone gave me a Wicked Sensation! This is exactly whom I wanted to see while Under Lock and Key! Thanks for having a true legend come in Breaking the Chains of the current reality!

They both has aggressive, intense playing style!!! I Love it !
Me too brother!!!
The Man The Myth The Legend .... George Lynch
George Lynch playing on Mr. Scary is awesome.
George plays out of the box!!
That George kid could really go places if he sticks with it
That's funny!
he should build a time machine and join a band named Cokken or something like that!
When you have a legend on like George Lynch, you let the man talk
That’s what I was thinking in the beginning. Norm’s a good dude but is a little full of himself. babbling gasbag 😂😂 kidding, kidding
George is an amazing musician, such a unique guy, has his own style!
I love Lynch's out of the box playing. I've always recognized him with just a few notes. One of my faves. Top ten for sure. In my opinion.
Longtime Lynch fan. Cool to see a different side of his playing.
Yeah, it was good but at times you could see he was having a hard time not shredding and had to slow it down. HAHA
I was thinking the same, I love him for nearly 40 years but I'm tired of squeals and pinched harmonics.

George is such a talent, so musical and his solos are brilliant.
When George is on he is definitely on.
Nice to hear him clean and in a different context than what he normally does
Even when he’s off he’s on
A unique George Lynch. Till today, the guitar works is timeless. Big fan.
