Unreal...Lemmo is one of the most creative, original players I've heard in a long time, always paving a unique path with his interpretation and energy but.....Man oh man, Chris Buck is on another level. He sounds like he's playing slide guitar with the pick of destiny. And lastly, Who the hell is still pretending to shop in the background for their out of tune banjos while this legendary shred is happening before them. You're witnessing greatness you peasants. Rock on gents
Chris buck has so much feel, love this jam. He’s a very distinctive player. One that you could pick out blindfold, you can always tell it’s him. He was right in the pocket here.
What I like about Chris' playing is that he sounds like one of the slickest Steely Dan session aces from back in the day, with all the blues bits left in the mix for good measure.
IMO what seperates the good guitarist from the great is their ability to support and compliment the jam when someone else is on lead and Chris buck did that so well him and lemmo should do more together both are killer
I’ve been following Chris buck for a few years now and that kid has sooooo much feeling and soul and command in his playing. I got a feeling that twenty years from now. We’re gonna be speaking about him in the same conversations with Clapton,SRV,Jimi......ect! There’s just something about his playing that makes an old trick sound refreshing and new!!
I am not a Blues-Fan, but when I heard Greeny, SRV, BB King and Gary Moore for the 1st time, I thought: Wow, what a great player!! Now you can add Chris Buck to the list..
Ten years from now the guys shopping in the store, one day are going to say "Hey I was in the store and I think that Chris Buck was playing there" before he became a legend. Dang I should got a selfie with him". There's a reason why he plays Yamaha Revstars. Phenomenal guitars but personally the best guitar I've played was a Yamaha SG2000 back in the 80's. Cody was pretty funky too.
Awesome jam. Love Lemmo beyond words but Chris is just another level and has inspired me so much. Great to see him get a bit of Norm exposure. Bring him back as an Edibles at Night special guest!
At times, it seems like he is full-on channeling SRV... and then he throws in some lines like George Benson. The blues/jazz blend is superb! *Chef kiss*
I've been watching these for over three years and I don't think I've missed one, and I've got to say, that Welsh lad next to Lemmo, (sorry Lemmo) is the best player you've ever featured, he seems to play within himself and that level alone is mind boggling, would love to see him really let go.
Hi Ray - If you're interested, Chris, and his band, Buck & Evans, have a strong UA-cam profile, but this short clip posted by an audience member shows him soloing at a gig a few years back in Newcastle: ua-cam.com/video/-ent3BkZ4a4/v-deo.html You'll find more videos here: ua-cam.com/users/ChrisBuckGuitarvideos I hope that's of some use.
Come on, Lemmo is a really good player, but he's not better than Joe Bonamassa, Tim Pierce, Chris Cain and a bunch of others. He's a baby with a lot of room to grow.
Chris is indeed superb. I've been following him for a few years. Feel is incredible and style unique. I must stand up for Michael, though. Different player with a different sense. What stands out to me (to say nothing of Sky's bass) is what Michael brought out in Chris as the two played together. It seemed Michael set the atmosphere and Chris played to it. It was different to what Chris might have played alone. That's the beauty of music. Also so cool to see Chris made it to the Mecca in Tarzana!
Probably the best jam I’ve ever heard on Norms. Really tasty playing by all members. Great example set by Lemo coming up with that funky line for everyone to play off of. Hope to hear more from these guys in the future.
Lemmo looks strangely subdued here! Strange for a guy with his unbelievable talent. He played some lovely licks at first but he looks like he didn't know how to respond to this Buck dude who absolutely KILLED it. What a player. Definitely going to be checking him out. Shades of Derek Trucks in his playing, minus the slide.
lemmo's forte has never been lead, he is an insane guitarist in his own right but he does crazy rhythm soundscape stuff, not so much fast impressive blues leads
I think thing is that at their level it’s not a competition. And since Chris isn’t there very often he probably wanted to give Chris the space to show the world what he can do. We already know that Lemmo is one of the greatest players alive today, Chris is too. Both so different but boy do their styles work well together! I also loved the bassist. And just the entire vibe how they were all just smiling so much while playing
I hear what you are saying and can agree to a certain extend. I still felt Lemmo’s first solo was the highlight. Those stuff speaks to me personally! Hard to explain.
Fantastic performance mates Congratulations to Michael Lemmo Chris was throwing guitar flamethrowers. Killer licks. You hung in there my man. You really did make that song groove. To Mr. bass player Mr. in the pocket drummer. And of course to Norm himself. This is entertainment. Peace and love
Was introduced to Chris buck a year or so ago through That Pedal Show (much love to Dan and Mick!) and I’ve loved everything he plays. He definitely has what you can’t teach. Killer jam though!
Being a Brit, with the bug for all things guitar, I know of Chris Buck, (I'm new to Lemmo), but I have to say, the bass player and drummer blew me away.
Wow!!! What a jam. Worth dropping everything to listen to. Two of my personal favorites on guitar. (Gotta follow Chris's Friday Fretworks. Stunning.) Add Cody and Sky. Incredible. Thanks so much for that pure jam, young men. Cheers!
You need to watch this video more than 4 times so that u can comprehend the amount of creativity that was put in by all those great guys. Thumps up 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 And hats off 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩
Thank you for having me guys! A true honour ☺️
Buck And Evans Da Iawn
What a pleasure to see the UK represented so brilliantly by you as usual Chris ... you and Lemmo need to do a colab 🤪😀
Awesome playing Chris
nice feel and good hair
Tasty licks. Great tone. Awesome feeling. You rock, Mr. Buck!
Chris Buck is the most tasteful guitarist on the planet right now, his tone is fantastic as is his sense of melody and structure in his solos.
Lemmo's first solo is a side we do not hear often enough. Props to the drummer for pushing a minimal kit to its limits.
That's a drummer right there.
Chris buck has so much feel, love this jam. He’s a very distinctive player. One that you could pick out blindfold, you can always tell it’s him. He was right in the pocket here.
His bends and slides are iconic
One of the greatest guitar players of our time
Chris Buck
Chris Buck was voted #1 blues player of 2019 by MusicRadar!
Lol ya ok. Im sure american bluesmen are better.
Great player... But I prefer Lemmo lol
Roy Monfero blues comes from inside, not a country.
Lemmo is good guys, but Chris Buck is on his own level. My new fav blues player since SRV
@@s_p_onarge8720 MusicRadar is UK based, of course they're biased towards their own. Chris Buck is decent but he's not the best bluesplayer today.
I think Chris buck may be the most authentic blues guitarist we have seen since SRV. IMHO
You're quite wrong. IMHO
@@Earl00001 I guess you are?
Four words - Josh Smith / Kirk Fletcher
@@LennyJohnson5 nope never said I was but I do have the right to disagree with this gentleman.
@@benjaminmartin4965 my two current favourite players. Social media at it's best! Otherwise I wouldn't have heard of them.
Holy Jesus 1st time I saw this CHRIS BUCK ABSOLUTELY ROCKS!!!!
What I like about Chris' playing is that he sounds like one of the slickest Steely Dan session aces from back in the day, with all the blues bits

ah Chris Buck, my favorite guitar player in the world!!! What a talent he is...amazing!!
Drummer's groove is soooooo in the pocket... love it.
can't believe I've only just heard of Chris Buck - he's a cut above for sure
Chris Buck is fabulous !
Chris buck is a such a monstrous guitar player!
I always keep coming back to this video, Chris Buck's solo at the end is insane.
Chris's playing is sooo smooth!!!
Jamming with Chris Buck as a guitarist, is a death sentence haha
IMO what seperates the good guitarist from the great is their ability to support and compliment the jam when someone else is on lead and Chris buck did that so well him and lemmo should do more together both are killer
Who you think won?
@@mrtambourineman6107 we did ;)
The bass player is a HAPPY SOUL! He loved it when Chris came in with the volume swells:)
I noticed that too 👍
I think it was a combination of the swells and that beautiful “Derek Truckish“ phrasing he starts playing right after the swells :)
There’s tension between these slingers and I love that. Chris and Michael are the future and the future is now!
I’ve been following Chris buck for a few years now and that kid has sooooo much feeling and soul and command in his playing. I got a feeling that twenty years from now. So true. Feel and phrasing to spare..... the soul of a poet. I love listening to him.
Hats off to Lemmo. A jam in a music store with Chris buck. Talk about it intimidating he killed it. Best music store Jam ever seriously the best.🙂👍
I watch this over and over just to see Criss Buck or hear him rather. Not to mention all of these guys sound awesome
Chris Buck, lovely tone and feel loved your chops, really ‘lush’ thanks
Everything a music shop should be in my humble opinion.
All day long man 🤘🎶❤
Los Angeles is a great music town.

Great band, great jam.... and Chris Buck is absolute class. But we already knew that in Wales.
Chris buck is a beast! Great player
What a fantastic combo. Our boy Chris doing his country proud with some damned fine musicians
Lemmo and Buck and Norm. Too cool. Lemmo held his own, Chris Buck is a badass.
The dexterity of these guys............oowhee............sooo gooood
Man absolutely no one plays like chris buck. Such an incredible and unique technique and musicality
Feel and phrasing to spare.... the soul of a (Welsh) poet.

I love when a band comes together...
yes Chris!
Chris & JJN are the blues legends of their generation. So cool to see that Norm's the natural hangout for guitar gods from everywhere!
I mean, Many more for sure... Kingfish! I just think this are great times to discover great players..
That was sublime. An example of humble and powerful synergy. Young talent at its finest, every instrument was superb
Chris buck is so polished
Totally agree!
Chris Buck great feel!

Chris Buck from near my town! Honestly has such a way of playing.. choice of notes and of phrasing for days.
Chris buck kills it
Such a treat watching Buck go at it!
Great look from Cody Wright at 6:10 at the beginning of Chris Buck's second solo. Musicians appreciating one another.

Really tasty drumming with a nice groove. And the string twisters aint that bad! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🤣
Mike you’re right up there at the top of the mountain of young Buck guitar studs. Great jam fella’s , everyone shined including that kick ass drummer.
Chris Buck fkn nailing it. So slick. 💥
Awesome! Lemmo and Buck are my 2 favorite young UA-cam guitarists. Never thought I'd see them playing together.
