- Hi all! This month I’m working on a really exciting project and filming some reels over on Instagram for Tate inspired by their new EY Exhibition: Cezanne. I filmed so much extra footage that I thought it would be good for you to see the full process and see this painting come to life!
I learnt so much about Cezanne in my research and felt really inspired to paint using some of his methods. If you want to join in you can use the hashtag #EverydayLandscape on Instagram, and on the 25th November Tate are doing an event showing a selection of the works in the Tate Modern which is such a cool opportunity!
Hope you enjoy this one and thanks so much for watching, Katie x
Note: I just want to disclose that I was paid to create the reels for Tate however this video is not part of that contract or arrangement, with no control from Tate

Oh I LOVE what you created Katie! I need to dive into Cezanne's work, very inspiring!
Thank you so much 💜 I absolutely loved learning more about him and his work!
I really like Cezanne's work as well. I used to enjoy copying his still lives with oranges etc in pastels.
Oooh I haven't tried using pastels yet, I bet that would work really well! I feel like we did still lives so much in college that I'm only starting to actually appreciate them for what they are now 😆
“Staying in tune with the paint” - definitely agree!
Thank you so much, and thanks for watching! 🥰
We studied about him in college very quickly, should actually go read some of my books pm hi. would love to see the exhibit but is a bit of a trip down there lol
well done with your still life😀
Ditto, and I didn't remember much! But I found it fascinating learning about him now, funny how different art and artists can impact you in different ways depending on when you find them. Thank you so much 🥰 I'm hoping to see the exhibition in person next year!
Love the finished piece and the thoughts fueling the process as well, great great work :)
Thank you so much Autumn, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching and leaving such a lovely comment 😊
So interesting Katie and I liked the result very much, thank you!
Thank you so much Sam! So glad you liked it 😊
Loved this video, it looked like it was fun to paint this!
Thank you so much Mel! It was a blast - so nice to paint something a bit different!
