we dont wash puja murtis with salt - lemon or vinegar.

Hey, You can try tomato if it is ok for u, boil ur puja items with some chopped tomatoes in a pressure cooker..let 3..4 whistle come..

well you can also try some market options such as Swarna pitambari, .giving u a link to read description...but I prefer more natural ways..🙂🙏
