The chef looks so happy and upbeat about his role as one of the chefs for the company, you hardly see this and it kinda made me tear up because everyone I know is always pissed and in a bad mood about their jobs. That guy is my inspiration

Kettle cooked chips are meant to imitate homemade chips, but that only means they are thicker and often have peel. That's about it.

False advertising Indeed. The least you expect is that the chips are cooked in some type of kettle, if they call them kettle chips. Watch them get forced to change their name in a few years! That's like calling a pizza a "brick oven" fired pizza, when it's microwaved

Yes, it used to be my favorite but recently I came across something that is just as good and if you’re looking for something that’s not as sweet and really does have a Jalepeno kick... I recommend trying the Sprout’s Kettle Style Chips (Jalepeno) It is also NON-GMO :)

As im eating kettle chips, i pondered how they are made and the luxury to be able to just type it in and watch a short film is one of the greatest things about having internet. We couldnt even dream of this growing up in the late 1900s. Im a millennial and the net will never get old for me when used correctly

Yes
They cut them with these machines with 6 holes in them. You’re supposed to line these potatoes up perfectly there are different size holes the big ones for big potatoes and the small ones for small potatoes. It’s a bitch getting them unclogged though

Kettle is definitely one of the superior brands for crisps. They're much tastier and of a higher quality than Walkers, though I've yet to draw any conclusion when comparing them to Tyrrel.

Silus Jackson actually, yes, they are. But you’re taking it too literally. When they say hand-cooked, they mean that they have people instead of machines look over the potatoes and stir them. It’s quite literally impossible to touch boiling water, before you say that method isn’t hand-cooking.

I asked for an application form for that place several years ago. I didn't bother to complete it and send it back because they had their workers doing weekly rotating 6 a.m. to 2 p.m - 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. shifts. As someone who relies on public transport, that would mean for me that one week I could get there but not back, and the following week vice versa. I can't say I'm really sorry for not applying, to be honest.
We have them here in Canada, always a fight between these and miss Vickie's in my mind

They are fried in batches in a large pot ("kettle") and stirred by hand. Watch a video on how regular potato crisps are made, and you'll see the difference.

experiment. drop a chip onto a piece of untreated/ unpainted plywood and leave it there for the night, next morning will have a puddle of grease soaked into the wood around it

Not at all, it's educational. Mass-produced chips go through a fully-automated process, while this is closer to how chips were made in the past centuries.

Kettle Chips don't even taste accurate with the flavours. The Flame Grilled Steak ones tastes more like Cheese and Onion.

When I was in high school, I always got Kettle lightly salted were my shits!!!!!! Kettle is best brand of potato chip in my opinion. Their salted pepper though, they put waaaay to much pepper in those ones

You know I was really disappointed that they didn't go into more detail on how the chips are actually cooked in fried because if you just cook and fry a chip it doesn't turn into a kettle chip so I'm still left with the question I had before I searched for this video I feel like these kinds of questions are why videos get dislikes on UA-cam
