Hello Valentina, I have 2 questions: How do you say “half and half”, cream for coffee. And, do you have a video of what to expect when you go to an Italian Restaurant? Best regards
@@solopalaraza Buongiorno Albert. "Half and half" is "metà e metà" in Italian. As for the restaurant, I haven't made a video on that yet, but I'm noting the idea down. I have done a video on how the Italian meal works, even at the restaurant, so maybe meanwhile you can find that helpful. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/C6XlKPzVpvw/v-deo.html
Love your lessons. It's great to hear and learn the native language and to understand the difference in meaning like with fiancé and how you pronounce papà
@@ItalianTeacherValentina Grazie mille, signora! Your video tutorials are very helpful for me who is learning Italian. It's adorable! 🙏😊 From Indonesia 🇮🇩
You are really good explaining and taking your time to make sure we pronounce the Italian words properly. Let’s see how much I learn before going to Salerno this coming April Thank you so much!
Ah! In bocca al lupo e buon viaggio*, Albert! *good luck and enjoy your trip I'm glad you appreciate my efforts to help people really understand and absorb correct Italian :D
Excellent video. I need to watch this a few more times. Many times I tend to pronounce some of these words wrong. Thrilled that i finally watched this.
Hi, I love your channel and I comprehend your lessons easily. I've been studying Italian off and on for about 6 years, but super- seriously for about a year, and I'm loving it! I want to ask you about the noun tourist. If the noun "tourist (singular)" = tourista, in Italian, how does "the tourist" then = i tourista, or il tourista, instead of la tourista?????
Ciao Valentina Stella. I love your lessons and appreciate your explanations. I've learned quite a bit as a result of your thoroughness. While viewing this video, it occurred to me that there are even more words describing family members. I would like to know terms for stepbrother or step sister, half-sister or brother and adopted brother, sister/parents. Is there also a given term for 1st cousins 2nd cousins or 1st cousins(s) once removed? If you are unfamiliar with this last term it would be described as the children of a 1st cousin in relationship to you. You also mentioned great-grandparents, what about a great-great grand parent? Would you be so kind to include these terms in this video if possible? Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you...😊
So glad to know my videos are helpful to you, Angela! Unfortunately, I can't add these words to this video now that is uploaded, but I'll add them to my list for future videos! 😉
I listen to learn as much as I can . All of my most of my immediate family lives in Corato Bari . I grew learning the dialect of the town . I want to learn pure Italian. Knowing the dialect does not help because it is really not spoken there anymore
They are still spoken, but mostly with family/friends and very informal contexts and they have mixed a lot with standard Italian. Definitely not a good idea to learn dialect first, as itwouldn't help for the rest of Italy. Dialects are different languages. I'm planning on making a video on them soon.
Grazie Valentina. I enjoy watching your video. Do you have the video on le preposizioni articolate? It's very confusing for me when do we have to used which in a sentence.
Ciao Luly, I'm glad you liked the video. I don't have one on "preposizioni articolate" yet but I've added it to my list. Here's a quick tip: they are just a combination of a preposition and an article. In Italian we tend to use the article almost always, so any time you have to use a preposition, you'll likely also have to use an article, so you'll combine them together. E.g.: if you want to say "on the table" the right preposizione articolata will be the one that uses "on" (su) and the version of "the" you would use with that word (so for table = tavolo, it would be "il"). This is how you end up with "sul" = su + il. Hope this helps a bit but I'm definetely going to make a video in the future, so stay tuned! :)
@@richfratello8181 Grazie Rich, So glad it helped! Italian grammar does look crazy, but one of my goals is to really help students see the logic and the why behind it. This I think is the key to really understand and use it, like anything in life actually! 😊
Veronica, that's actually on my list because I do believe it's a great way to memorize adjectives. Will make that video at one point. Hopefully you will enjoy my other videos too meanwhile ;)
