I remember meeting veterans of the 761st Tank Battalion when I was a kid. My father was a member of a national guard armor battalion based in NYC and the veterans would hold their meetings at his armory. I would come to learn more about these men as I got older and understood why they were called the greatest generation! Thank you to the Black Panthers 761st Tank Battalion and all our veterans past and present! 🇺🇸

I would like to see..... No I EXPECT to see, not just A movie about this Battalion but a very well put together, written and supported 10 part mini-series the likes of Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers. We are about at the end of those warriors remaining. They or at least their very descendants deserve hear and see their story(s) told in such a manner.

Well there will be a movie but the trailer I saw doesn’t give Justice to the 761st. I’ll be damned if they’d shoot an M-4 tank into space (take a hint from “Fast 9”).

So how on earth has there been no proper movie produced about this? This sounds like one of the greatest stories to be told, with the distrust and tension between the units.

That was one of the best if not the best trained and efficient tank unit in WW2. Because of segregation they spend two years of constant training and mastery of tank warfare and as they got to France not even the waffen SS stood a chance.

Uh....there is going to be a movie called "Come Out Fighting" but unfortunately the trailer doesn't look too good. I still can't wrap around my head why they chose to have Roman Pierce in the 761st.

I am German and live on the border with France. The Allied soldiers of World War II are real heroes. Rarely did soldiers fight for a better reason than the liberation of Europe from the Nazis. The “America Military Cemetery of Saint-Avold” is not far from my home. I recently stood in front of the grave of the brave Ruben Rivers. The golden latters on his cross honoring all American soldiers.

He didn't mention Warren Crecy. Supposedly the baddest dude in the 761 who was put in for a Medal of Honor but got a Silver Star.

Kareem Abdul Jabar wrote a book about these brave men twenty years ago. Read it. They were the Tuskegee Airmen on the ground. Great young men.

Please do a video history of the 758th light tank battalion which was the only black light tank battalion in Italy during WWII. They supported the 92nd ID in April 1945 in final push through the Gothic line.

America has been so stupid in how they treat my brothers and sister over the years. My great uncle served with the Black panthers and hated the way they were treated but he served honorably. Today I don't know if I could do that. Only God knows, but I do know that our time is coming!! Best believe.

I always wondered why so many of the 101st airborne were so salty about receiving help from Patton, it wasn't Patton that bothered them it was that they were rescued by Black men...

There is a book on the Black Panthers and in it they describe their problems with the Whites of the Infantry Divisions they were sent to fight with but at the same time they never forgot seeing the corpses of these infantrymen stacked like cord wood along the roads that led to the fight and so they knew their sacrifice and they sought to earn the respect of men who hated and they won.
