I used to think , I am the only one who finds her makeup odd according to her features and ongoing trends ...but since she always claimed that she is professional , I started doubting myself ...thank God I am not wrong

I paid for her online class for self makeup when she was gaining popularity and when you see her videos it actually appears as if she is very confident, polite and will teach good skills. But her classes are far from anything you see online. She wasted a lot of time complimenting students, then expecting compliments, fishing for compliments, and then random storytelling would consume most of the class duration and then she would talk about basic stuff and then again waste time in talking about her weird madeup science and facts. This is day 1. On day 2, she was supposed to teach makeup. On that day she proceeded to do the most horrible makeup that you’ve ever seen. Worse than her over lined lips that you see on Instagram and did half of it offline and then showed up fully dressed with horrible makeup and started fishing for compliments again. Mind you the batch size is 200+ students and some of them actually don’t have much knowledge about makeup and aesthetics and they started complimenting her. I was so disappointed.
On day 3: she was supposed to talk about color theory or some bullshit and that day her makeup was better than what she taught at day 2 which was cakey orange over lined oily mess. So I raised a question that what she taught us was not good enough for the price we are paying and she started bullying me in front of 200 people. She passive aggressively abused me on zoom and then I left her class. To my surprise, her chapri audience who give her compliments and keep praising her found my WhatsApp somehow and started sending me abuses on WhatsApp. And then I started getting a call from her team that I should join back. My other friend was also joined the class with me and she said rest of the class she was just mocking me and cracking jokes at my expense.
Few things I want to clarify- I do self makeup really well because I learned from my other makeup artist friend and she is South Indian popular makeup artist and I’m North Indian. I gave her a tiny feedback that her makeup style is predominately South Indian and when she did my makeup it didn’t suit my face as I have north eastern features. She took that feedback and learned more and improved her craft. She is now the most sought after bridal makeup artist. I won’t name her here for privacy concerns. My point is - when I have feedback to Bhumika, she discarded my feedback, made fun of me, and when people troll her, I feel she deserves it. Her assistants and her fans should stop yes nodding and tell her about the reality that her makeup is bad, her hair styling is bad and fishing for compliments and victim mindset is pathetic. She should stop bitching about other MUAs in her zoom classes tbh. All I want to say to her is grow the fuck up!
Just adding one more thing- they sent me a refund when I told her team that my personal details were being misused by her “students”. Many students did reach out to me from that batch saying that they also felt the classes were bad and were disappointed but what can we do!

Many so called makeup artist do not tell their students that they charged so much extra for our portfolio..also they force us to buy products from them so they can sell products on huge price to us and also they earn some commissions from those products... don't trust them at all
I lost my money..I did a makeup course offline from Instagram celeb makeup artist. stupid course!! please do verify before take addmission any of these..and their also you can see politics like, if you doing drama (Hello ma'am you are like another mother for me, you are God to me) this type compliment they are liking very much 😂🤣 they also called us hello my babies 🤣 if we are her babies then how can she take advantage from us??
they always force us to giving extra money. When I completed the course I really feel like freedom from that stupid nautanki type so called academy 😂.
They do pollitics so much if you give them expensive gift they will always give you much their babies type special treatment 🤣🤣 otherwise you will be always unknown garib student for them.

This has become so common now a days, bridal makeover has become cakey as hell and what is this obsession with 2-3 lighter skin shade. Even if some brides says she wants a light base they will still do a very heavy base.... And why only target Bhumika???? She is so far still better than some of them.. who just white washes their clients and even recieve awards for being successful makeup artist.

Because he calls herself a makeup artist and does awful makeup. She is not training people to be an RJ or singer. She is training them to be makeup artists.
Face mask ka concept was there but just the Multani mitti and Haldi besan. Don't just blindly claim that it didn't existed. We Indians were far more advanced in beauty products. Makeup is not bad when you take care of skin by eating healthy diet.

Her voice is so calm and composed ... and she talks sooo sweetly to her students..as a person she's the best but makeup is very cakey
The things that set her apart from so many makeup artists online are... Style of speaking, overlined lips, weird eyebrows, overloaded blush, dramatic eyelenses and cakey makeup.
Her negative points work in her favour as ppl share n comment on her content more.

I have been using boroline since years now and i can tell you it is a lot more pocket friendly and effective than these overpriced lip masks & lip balms. Infact, the lip balms makes lips more dry and flaky after a few minutes of application.
I totally agree! Not just as lip balm, it's also the best antiseptic cream.
Honestly, I don't like the feel of boroline but there's a Himalaya lip balm, comes for 35 rupees and last for very long, it's hydrating as well as affordable

A correction pimples etc dont happen due to makeup. They happen due to not cleansing the makeup out of the skin.

That is exactly why I mostly stick to basics and do not run after expensive skincare routines and makeup products. Honestly, when I almost didn't do anything to my skin, it was flawless. When I tried some stuff, I kept getting random acne or blackheads.
See every person has a different way to do their makeup etc..... But yes I think some where people are now like to do over lips and eyebrows...they are influenced by others who have over lined lips and eyebrows

As a model I go through cakey makeup and long aftercare everytime because it's extremely possible that you can get skin issues from using makeup regularly. But if you go through a 1-2 hour long care which I do every single day it it can prevent skin issues but it cost a lot like A LOT to get diagnosed and then go through every single product and medicines everyday.
I love Bhumika's makeup tips but I don't know why she doesn't make herself look flattering even after knowing so much about makeup!

I feel the same about sunscreen, don't you think this particular product has been pushes immensely over last 5 years? Even being a brown girl, I am fed that I cannot go out without sunscreen.
See sunscreen is very important not just to prevent wrinkles fine lines but it protects from skin cancer. Sun damages our dna whether you’re brown, white, black sunscreen is very important. You won’t understand it’s importance now 5-10 years later you’ll regret not wearing sunscreen.
Sunscreen is imp to protect your skin from heat and harm rays.
In some countries the sun rays are so strong that you cannot go out without it.
They are not meant to protect from sun tan like how influencers claim.

As for her lips, Hailey beiber and Kendall Jenner and various other celebrities do the same sort of overlining as her and I think she pulls it off way better than them. I think it's just her preference
Umm no , others actually line it better and people can't tell their natural lip line. Kylie has lip filler she doesn't need to overline her lips too much because of it.
her lips are already huge lmao and overlining on them makes them look unproportionate compared to the other features of her face. kendal and Kylie had comapritivley smaller lips.

I am soo happy to see here that finally there's someone to point out to Bhumika's odd makeup. She's just very average kind of makeup artist. But the downside of social media is that you gather views and favorable comments and influence the minds of your audience. I m very cautious of all such influences.

My mother used to use only boroplus. Her skin was flawless, clean, glowy.
I think for skin one should ask dermatologist about the products they're going to put ..like the skincare...it definitely works well

Her voice is actually very relaxing. And the reason is she doesn't have the shrillness in her voice and you will find very slight elevation of depression in her speech. These are called therapeutic voices. Most therapists use these voices to create a calming environment

I really think she isn't bad, she does cakey makeup because that is what works in India, i've seen local parlour wali aunty do way worse, because the clients keep saying "make up dikh hi nahi raha". She tries to find a middle ground between local and expensive. If you do tell her (if you're hiring her) that you want a minimal make up i'm sure she'd give you that
