See I am into business. If there is 15-20% crowd who can afford zara,H&M, gucci go to local market and buy the product 2 times or 3 times its price (eg: shopkeeper selling 100rs product for 200rs its 2 times the base price. Dont look at it as sau-dosau.), then these vendors will increase their base price and it wont affect them if lower and midleclass ppl dont buy from them. They will earn their profit by selling it at extra margin to elite class. Within few period, it will get difficult for lower and middle class to buy from local vendors.
This same goes to house maid. If few rich ppl in society are ready to pay maids twice , thrice the amount, it becomes difficult for middle class to hire these maids. Cz maids increase there price, they know there are some richies who are ready to pay them.

In this age of capitalism, we sometimes act on the FOMO, and end up showing off. But as the people here i believe mostly in the borderline age of being financially independent, therefore one must know how to handle money responsibly. just because something is branded doesn't mean it's beautiful. I understand owning beautiful things feel therapeutic and nice, but one should also learn to understand what is beautiful, not just blindly believe a brand. Many people my age (23-25) are buying shitty stuff, just because it's a luxury brand! I mean 'you worked your ass off to get something so silly just to show off?' are you 15?

It is hypocrisy if you buy luxury items for status and luxurious lifestyle and then bargain with vendors who are trying to make ends meet. And also, I come from a middle class family and my father has bargained with street vendors, receptionists at hotels during vacations, and also at Air conditioned shops in supermarkets and malls. Yes! I remember how much I used to watch popxo back in the day and I really liked Komal & cherry. But at that time my boards were near so eventually I completely stopped watching their videos. Fast forward to few yrs back when I first came across Komal I was completely blown away because of how much she changed (both looks and personality wise) but I was really impressed by her growth too.

I am not a fan of the komal or rowhi and I understand ur point but think about the other side of the coin. Paying 50-150 more to street vendors might not be an issue for influencers but itz a huge thing for middle class people. If multiple people are willing to pay 150 more than the actual worth, the vendors will automatically increase the price of the products and the regular buyers might suffer. By bargaining or not, just give them the price they deserve.

it doesn't matter if the product is being sold by vendors or huge brands. it all depends on the quality of the product for me. I was introduced to bargaining culture by my parents who told me that these vendors get the stuff wholesale and they get it for cheap. them trying to make a profit off of it is totally fair. I look for the same thing while buying products. I see if the product I paid for is worth the price or not. and I think if it is not then I try to bargain a little with the vendors. I definitely can not do that in a mall. I just stick to not buying the product if I think it's not worth it. the point here is sometimes vendors charge us a lot too for a product that doesn't justify its quality.
PS- I'm not trying to defend any influencer here. this was just my point of view on this:))

I totally agree with your point that if you’re really good at bargaining then show this skill of yours everytime when you shop even at the big brands and I see no point in wearing such expensive clothes as we girls like to have many clothes as possible but I think when you’re buying from a big brands like Zara, Prada , Gucci you’re not just paying for their product but also they have build their brand value so you’re paying for their goodwill , their quality . Their products are kept in well air conditioned environment whereas in local markets like Sarojini Nagar , Vendors don’t really guarantee for the quality of their product neither they have any brand value nor they keep their product in any showroom and if you’re paying ₹200 for a single top then also they aren’t gonna suffer any loss cause they purchase clothes in piles .

Listen Komal Pandey isn't exactly wrong for bargaining at a place where bargaining is allowed and is a thing lol. If anyone was allowed to bargain at a luxury clothing shop I am sure they would've. I have seen many ppl do the same, they spend on the most expensive items without issues but don't hesitate in bargaining with a local shopkeeper. One of them said that according to the material of clothing these local vendors provide, their price is too high and these vendors already have their tactics. They increase their price beforehand so that even if the customers tries getting the price down, they'd still be in profit. Ppl bargain where bargaining is allowed. I don't like what Komal Gudan did tho. Could've paid the 20 bucks.

Completely agreed with your point, the fact is it's always easy to point out others while we all also never bargain in brands no matter how big or small the brand is, just because we can't, we simply cannot bargain. They all influencers have worked so hard to reach that point where they can buy those costly brands, still they choose to go to sarojini and make videos just to show that you don't need a lot of bucks to rise your style game (isn't this a way to promote local shops rather than a brand) at least they are not like those celebrities who only promote the things they would never eat or use on themselves still they promote it just for the money. Because still few girls find low class to go and shop from sarojini, so the target audience of those videos are those girls, and if we talk about the bargaining skill then if you watch their videos carefully then they try to make you understand the range of bargaining, if you don't want to bargain then just don't. stop defaming those hard-working self-made women.

Even in local stores not talking about sabzi mandi though but if a seller doesnt want to burgain, they use a placard where its mentioned as *price is fixed* whereas in this kinda sarojini market in delhi, newmarket in kolkata, here things should be bargained as the shopkeeper allows that indirectly. These Influencers had done shopping from there earlier so they have this habit still now. Its not about even someone's financial status but about the place where things are getting sold.No offence towards your video but I guess this is simple logic i found over this burgain thing.

I know many people who are actually professional in making leather bags, belts clothes etc and they said one thing to me that you are paying price for your status not the product if you go to some famous brand stores there material is as cheap as a bag you can buy in sarojini for 600-800...they said just cuz those bags have a logo and are displaying in huge stores that doesn't mean they are made out of good quality material not like all the products are like this many brands took their product quality as a priority but brands like gucci etc use cheap material so i suggest you to buy from a local vendor instead of a famous store

It’s called creating content. If they won’t bargain then their content will not be relatable. Also if they won’t bargain then the common people will also have to pay the same price. Bargain is being done for the viewers.
