The Icons for Guns and Ammo are not yet done so you need to move your cursor to the area where their icons should be. Also, when you see multiple baddies attacking caravans or small armies, those are the best training fights. Take them all. Also, engaging them on and very near villages will bring in the militia for you.
The Witch Hunter companions actually come with a handgun that needs 50 in gunpowder to use. At some point you'll probably want an Empire Repeater Handgun, that six-shot magazine is really fun to use. Actually hitting enemies with guns is a bit tricky at first, because the projectile drop-off is so unintuitive.
Unfortunately they start with 0 Gunpowder skill so they are terrible with their gun, they need many hideout battle to reach at least 50 and being decent with them. Good thing their rusty empire engraved gun deals 140 damage, more than a rifle Dismounted outriders (repeater handgun) are devastating in sieges
BTW, preventive medicine ALWAYS activates at the actual end of the battle, so if the battle has multiple parts to it (like a siege) it will only activate when the entire battle is done and you will get the 30% HP back only after it is all completed. So if you're knocked out in the first round, it won't activate immediately, if you lose HP but still stand for the second round, it won't recover anything until the end of that battle, the same when you retreat since the battle isn't completed at that point.
10:33 They have a gun and ammo, the icons are invisible 13:40 never tell your crossbowmen to advance, in a plain battlefield they need all the space they can in order to shoot as many bolts they can 14:10 Yes empire huntsmen and handgunners are the best non noble ranged troops, anyway crossbowmen have higher survivability in sieges due to their reload animation. The Braganza besiegers are the best crossbowmen of the mod (180 crossbows skill and 66 body armor + pavise shields) if you can take them get all you can. Well you could be a witch hunter since they are gunners and are cooler than mercenaries Mercenary class players become very tanky (+60 hp in the first 2 carrer tier, I have 177 hp for example) and have some nice upkeep reduction cost, useful in order to have an army of outriders 16:09 useful tip
I really appreciated that you turned up the lighting exactly when you said brighter, mist UA-camrs would just brighten it at the start. Very minimal difference but I liked it none the less.

Thank you so much for explaining how "preventive medecine" works ! I wish this would also work for manual battle you take on though. I was getting frustrated and thought it was one of those skills that were still bugged and thanks to you, I have an answer. Great video as always!

early game, while you're working towards the gun, try getting to 50 in throwing for the perk to give ranged ranged troops more vigor, it's easy points to gain in a siege if you toss pots, but it's a bit early for that. and put your ranged on skirmish. and yeah, all of the gun troops don't show their ranged weapon, but they do have one as indicated by the ranged icon. oh, and if you wanna level one of your companions without gunpowder skill, there is a new "old rifle" in the engineers shop once you finish the quest.
also, i'm pretty sure the witch hunters have enough skill to equip a gun, just not enough to pop up in the encyclopedia, I might be mistaken, but pretty sure i had no problem equipping them.
sorry, one last thing, you also gain a small amount of influence daily from having "supporters" of notables that like you well enough, great for mercs, so help out the caravans whenever you can.
The Jokes this episode. 😅👍 I really like these videos I've been waiting for this mod and this is a nice showcase of the different starting scenarios. Also reminds me of the old Warsword Conquest videos.
Ranged focus requires one of two things, generally speaking. A back up infantry line to forstall the infantry charge, or a cavalry presence to forstall it. Just my opinion. You'll do whatever is coolest either way.
Your timing with the two-hander is off your right but its off by milliseconds if that axe had one or two more points in reach your timing would be on point.
Having a lot fun with this mod, So I thought I would share my next Character idea with people looking for a challenge. Join the Moot, keep them alive. This would involve some minor cheating to boost your renown quick enough to join them, such as editing the file. The idea is not to cheat to give yourself an unfair advantage, although I plan to boost a minor bit of exp and gold so I can actually fight and have a small party with me. Basically level 5 and 5k gold start is my plan, with the renown needed to join as a merc. The gold is not for gear, purely troops and to maintain them initially. I imagine the first part of this campaign is going to be a long defensive siege. Note I plan to hire Free Company Mercs to start with as I doubt my low level character and Empire Recruits will make that much of a difference.
I will say that riding while firing probably doesnt help your accuracy, also, hand guns would have better accuracy than pistols so save up for those next
I am always surprised how you don't use tactics and formations in battles, I always do, set up your line of archers behind (they can fire over) or behind and to the side of your infantry men and F2 + F3 to spread them out so they are harder to hit by opposing ranged units. Put your infantry into a line formation F2+F1 or shield F2+F2 formation so they stay together and tank the enemy. That way your ranged units continue firing even when the enemies are close rather than immediately go into melee, most ranged units are very ill equipped for melee fights, especially early on
That is because the Empire(known formally as the Empire of Man) is based on, or inspired by rather, the Holy Roman Empire, with heavy emphasis on Germany, so there is an element of historical inspiration.
Man I wanted to play this, but the devs started working using the beta build as the base and none of my other mods work with those versions and I really don't want to start playing around with multiple installs. Guess I'll stick with Realm of Thrones for now.
@@ReformistTM yeah, I mentioned before the Native New Design mod, got new update, but if you're not into native mods maybe Gekokujo again or even Between Empires, would be nice a mix rather than mainly bannerlord(many still stick with warband, so do i even tho I have bannerlord)

I'm sorry? What do you mean. The Old Realms update I'm playing in this series was new and I played 3 different "classes" -- This series focuses on an Empire character that specializes in guns and artillery. The others focus on a Vampire Lord and a Damsel of Bretonnia. Both with very different playstyles. I'm not sure what 2015 has to do with this? The Old Realms and Bannerlord weren't even released then. Also, the 3rd campaign? I have around 3000 videos on Mount & Blade in general and I have vast knowledge of how the game works and what the best strategies are but sometimes suffering a defeat now and then just spices up an otherwise tedious series which means it is more entertaining. I've always found it amusing how people call me "bad" but never stop to think about the decisions I'm making? The decisions solely based on how entertaining they would be, not that they are going to be optimal in terms of min-maxing and when have I ever been about that anyway? Not really often. Anyway, I've played Pendor (probably the hardest, most well-balanced Warband mod) without dying in 72 episodes. Not sure if that counts as "so bad" but go off I guess. :)

Hand gun is another word for pistols and revolvers. I think you meant rifles have better accuracy than pistols(aka hand guns).
The reason your gunners are good in melee is that all troops in TOR have the same skill in all weapons.

I'm using the exact mods your using for 1.20 yet after opening and the loading screen appearing the game doesn't load. Any ideas on what I should do?
Is there a New update ? Or why can U still Play IT?
It still works. It just has to reload the shaders again.
well when the new 1.2.4 update came it didnt work for me at all just black screen@@michaelh878
I actually kind of like the flag
Ah i may remember, do not use grenade launchers they crash the game
Are you gonna put any melee troops in your army?
I assume eventually yes. :)
Does the mod still work on beta 1.2.4 ? It get stuck on the loading screen for me 😞
Yes it is just reloading all the things again. I was able to continue my savegame from 1.3 eventually.
When's the next one.
Do you still use the normal troop into companion mod?
could use some help getting this mod to work
Was fun but it's unplayable due to crashes...
I read you need to activate beta to play this mod. Its that true? with workshop versión it always crash
Yes, navigate to your game in library > right click > properties > betas > dropdown menu to 1.2.0 > download > then you should be able to play.
I’m so confused why am I not able to purchase a gun?
I believe you may need to create a character that can purchase one or complete the quest from the engineer as an Empire character in Nuln.

No more warband i see
