  • Akina te tū
This haka, Ākina te tū, was composed for the Eastern Eagles as a way for the club to reconnect with te ao Māori at the same time as acknowledging and paying tribute to the many people, aiga and whānau who helped pave the way for the club today.
This haka encourages the whānau within the Eagles to be brave and strong, to be humble, and to always represent and have pride in the East no matter where you go.
The composer of the haka is an Aranui High School old boy from the whānau class from 1996 - 2000 and is still involved with the community as much as possible.
Ākina te tū - Written by Komene Kururangi, Cameron Tūkapua and Phil Borell for the Eastern Eagles 2024
