I asked this last video, but looking around it seemed like Danubians don't get that decision, seems like they need to own the provinces. Of course I haven't checked the actual mod.
This whole thing really shows how stacked the odds are against danubians to form geemany. You get no war score reduction and you need a big coalition to actually fight the elbiansbso it's impossible to actually form Germany before the great war, and MP games tend to end after once GW
I don't know what it is, but Elbian's attitude really pisses me off. He acts all nice but then goes for the scummiest backstabs and hugboxes, and then comes back talking to Spud and his allies as if nothing happened. He's been the biggest snake to his allies and deserves the comeuppance he got this session. No one should trust him as an ally.

This is a death war that really didn't need to happen. Yes, the Elbians were going to lose and I can see the logic that "If i don't win this then I won't be able to ever win", but that logic really doesn't hold up. In this campaign alone Burgundy went from a absolutely hopeless clown position to actually being a respectable regional player again. Teching up, playing diplo and, more importantly, waiting for the great war would have left the Elbians as a scary player in Europe. Especially since they would have been seen as the underdog after getting stomped by spud and his alliance. Now, despite technically not losing as much land as they could have, they have greatly hampered the chance at a comeback and can no longer play on being the underdog for diplo.
French fighting alongside with arcadians, italians and russians against chinese, turks and polish, so bavarians can form germany. Typical tuesday in vicky 2
Taking Saxony in the last war actually was huge, it gave homeland Danubian provinces near the front in eastern Germany and Poland, which was perfect for replenishing stacks and then quickly reinforcing the battles. That allowed Spud to contribute frequently and significantly to the battles and offensives, especially compared to his allies who had to either travel a lot more to get home and replenish, or had to put up with smaller slower reinforce ticks in enemy occupied territory.
