i feel like it’s symbolic that he dies standing up. He says “do not think that it ends here” because we know ganon, link, and zelda will be reincarnated later in the future to do this all over again. Ganon may have died but he’s still standing.
It's actually very accurate seeing he was wearing lots of armor, armor tends to slack and keep the person inside standing even if they were to die, so basically the armor is just like: "I got you bro"

Alot of people like Wind Waker Ganondorf but after watching this, i realized how underrated TP Ganondorf is. He took the sword that stabbed him and made it his own, as well as possessing Zelda and flaunting his victory in killing Midna. Pretty badass if i do say so
Wind waker ganon is the most human, but this ganon is absolutely the incarnation of hatred he was meant to be.

It's been a long time since I've played these games but isn't WW Ganon the same as OoT & TP Ganon? If so, I really like WW Ganon because it is a bit of character development & reflection for him. Something I honestly wasn't expecting, especially after his acts in OoT/TP. TP Ganondorf is definitely a badass though lol

@@Feber2001 I don't think it was a choice guided by but more out of love for link and wanting link to never have to go through what the twilight cause again and she knew that they could have tried to prevent that but she was afraid that the next bad guy would be able to cause that kind of damage no matter what they did.

Even as someone biased for Zelink, this is my favorite headcanon for this game.
Back when I was little when this game first came out and I beat it, I thought that's what she was going to say too. She and Link spent so long together. Looking back now, the two months it took for me to 100% the game with my sisters was nothing compared to the amount of days Link had to have spent with Midna throughout that playthrough. It makes it even sadder when she said *light and shadow can't mix.* So the ending is truly tragic for many reasons.
Something interesting about Zant is that his character was given slits on his mouth so that the player couldn't tell if he was frowning or smiling. :)

As much as the ending hurts, It's definitely one of the things that makes this my favorite video game of all time. Like the fact that you can tell how much link cares about Midna, and how much she changes over the course of the game. She's just the greatest companion in any Zelda game.

The "bye midna ill miss you" at the end was the most heart breaking thing I've ever heard come out of Eric's mouth I shed some tears
I love the differences between WW Ganondorf and TP Ganondorf, one is wise and humbled by his defeat in OoT, giving him time to reflect and really realize what he wanted, and the other never experienced that key defeat, and has only known war and bloodshed, his failed execution making him arrogant to the point of believing himself a god, refusing to rest and truly embodying his role as the wrathful king of darkness.

I love Ganondorfs character so much. The way his characterization is completed by three games with different phases of his character is so cool, I don't think many games have told the story of a person in the same way Zelda did Ganondorf

It's my biggest regret for this game, because I really feel Midna was acting in fear when she shattered the mirror. Everyone else changed over the course of the game and became more confident by working with one another. The gorons and kakariko- the Zoras and the hylians that depended on the lake- the resistance that formed in castle town- They were inspired by Link's bravery and willingness to help. Yet Midna still had doubts about the future. It makes the ending bittersweet to see Link's companion, his best freind leave after overcoming their greatest hardships.

After all these years I still cry on Midna's farewell, even more because what she was meaning to say to Link was "I love you" before hanging back on it, surely as to not cause Link to follow her just in the last moment. Midna is truly best girl, even on imp form
Surprised he didn’t comment on how the music changes as you progress up the castle. At the base levels it’s playing a quiet version of Hyrule Castle’s theme, but as you climb the tower it steadily transitions into Ganon’s theme.
Incredible little detail
I love the story and whole feeling of Twilight Princess. The transformation ability alone is a cool thing that hasn’t really been done fully aside from in Majora’s Mask, but I especially love the story and characters. I love to see Link x Zelda ships in games like Spirit Tracks and Skyward Sword, but I honestly thought it was cool to see an adult Zelda of this game, serious and resolute, and her calculated risks like sacrificing her power to Midna was an amazing incarnation of her character.
Not to mention, Link himself is probably the most epic version he’s ever been in this game. The combat arts he can learn are awesome, the giant leaps as a wolf Midna can help him do are awesome, and my personal favorite: the epic sword sheath that inspires one of his taunts only Smash Bros. The fact you can activate it at will by holding A as soon as you beat an enemy is honestly one of my favorite parts of sword fighting in this game. Not to mention the cool aesthetic of the boss fights...
Midna herself is also probably my favorite Zelda companion. She just has such a personality... and an actual history and motivation to do the things she does. And greater, she gets amazing character development throughout the game.

That part with Ganondorf dies when they show Zant just watching was super amazing and creepy. Zant seemed to almost be waiting for him to die like a vulture or something maybe to take the power for himself.
I just rewatched this for the first time in a long while, and it still hits just as hard. I like that the game doesn't say outright why Midna broke the mirror, it lets you figure that out. I personally think it was entirely out of wanting to protect the world her best friend calls home, as long as that mirror existed, another 'Zant' could come around, twilight could cover the land again, and his home would be at risk again. Midna spent all of this game learning to care about a person and world that, when this all started, she couldn't care less about, and, to me, this is the climax of this arc, albiet a bit misguided.
Midna is hands down the absolute best companion in any Zelda game, she's a full out character with her own motives, growth, charm... She feels like a _person_ and makes it almost feel like Link isn't a silent protagonist because of all their back and forth, even though he doesn't say a word, she does enough talking for both of them and draws this Link's personality right out. I absolutely love this game to pieces and Midna is a huge part of that.
Yes especially the part about Link feeling more like a personality as well because of Midna. She had so much personality that it swapped over onto Link and you can imagine that Link is really just a silent type but communicates with her the most of all(others a bit as well of course), not just silent because they wanted people to self-insert into the main character they are playing. It feels like a personality, not a function. They feel like real friends who understand each other deeply because they've gone through a lot together and appreciate the others company at the end.

I've finished the game in its entirety over ten times now 😅, everything about it brings me joy and each time I play I just fall in love with it more and more. The music is amazing, the story line is brilliant and the characters are wonderful 💞

"I follow the strongest side. That is all I've ever known." King Bulblin is no monster, just an opportunist trying to stay alive in Ganon's dominion. By offering Link the key before riding away, Bulblin is actively betraying his master's orders. Whether that stems more from altruism or cowardice is largely up to your interpretation.
@@SaccadicSableye I always interpreted him as kind of a viking type of character. Like, before Zant and Ganon show up on the scene, he was the strongest monster and reveled in that, but after the two of them appear he quickly develops a pessimistic view as the two quickly and handily humble him and make him into a glorified henchman in exchange for his and his people's survival. I always interpreted his decision to betray Ganondorf as him being inspired by Link's repeated defeats of him and Ganon's other minions to believe that while there may be powers greater than him, he can still be a powerful force on his own, and deciding to value his dignity and independence over his immediate survival. Does that make him good? Hell no. He's probably still a horrible bandit and a total bastard. That being said, he is a determined and noble figure in the sense that at the end of the day HE decides what he wants to do, rather than balking in the face of "higher power". Also, I love the little moment where Midna says, "He spoke.." Since in that moment Midna acts as a stand-in for the audience, and it really catches the audience with our collective pants down since this entire game we've been under the assumption that Bulblin is a totally vacuous, stupid barbarian. So this brief moment of independence and display of intelligence completely shocks us and confronts us with how severely we underestimated Bulblin's value as a character.

@@booketoiles1600 one of my least favorite reveals in breath of the wild is that monsters (incouding bokoblins) are canonically just extensions of Ganon's will, meaning they aren't sentient canonically. I liked how they seemed to be sentient in this game, up to the leader of thw bokoblins deciding that Link has proven his strength and earned his respect meaning he won't work for Ganon anymore.

i just find it amazing how the entirety of the game we hear how the twilight ppl defy the gods and in the last scene we see how zelda tries to calm midna saying how the gods created the mirror for a reason and midna just almost immediately shatters it defying once again the gods, its like her way of saying it is what it is and i will always stand on my principles, love it

I grew up on twilight princess so I might be biased but I honestly think it's slightly better than breath of the wild. Next Zelda game might be beat it though, they get better each time.

I love the credits in Twilight Princess, it's a perfect summary and resolution for everything you went through in the game. A personal favorite of mine is when we see King Bulbin riding away with his vast horde... which has been reduced to about three guys on two warthogs. It's always hilarious, because you KNOW you've killed about a thousand of those dumb goblin guys to get to that point, so seeing the game recognize that is a good laugh.

twilight princess is my favorite zelda game, it has darker themes, s*** actually happens that gives you a reason to save hyrule, the visual design was fantastic, the atmospheric feel of different areas is the best, great ost, decent writing.
a remaster that goes all in and even pushes the boundaries of that teen rating would possibly make the best zelda game ever.

No but in all seriousness, I'm so glad he played this game. The moments where he lights up and is enveloped in the story reflect the reason why I started drawing. I wanna give people that feeling through things I create, y'know? It's really nice to see that child-like wonder so honestly and openly, as I haven't seen it in a long, long time :,)

Fun fact: in the original twilight princess, there was green chu jelly. However, it was fairly hard to get because you had to get a blue and a yellow chuchu to mix, and then kill it. Once you did, you could scoop the chu jelly, although it’s practically useless.

Crado Dragmire We don’t know anything about it, so it’s pointless to theorize about things like that. Though the trailer did have several hints that may have alluded to Twilight Princess... and we HAVE been waiting quite a while now to see what happened to Midna and the rest of the Twilight crew.
