This spoke to me! I always gravitate towards your channel when I feel my motivation for UA-cam start to dwindle. I’m at the point currently where I feel like my videos take a lot of time and effort to make. Sometimes I’m shooting for 2/3 days to test a camera and film talking head parts then all the editing and making sure I go through all the positives and negatives of the product, just to find a big camera UA-camr has gone out and shot for like 1 hour on a jet ski and managed to review the entire camera in that time and gets tonnes more views, and I just kind of think what’s the point. This video has kind of revealed though that watching others isn’t the way to think about it. No doubt that UA-cam has a problem with product bias at the moment though, the more positively you speak about things, the better your channel generally does in my opinion!
Thanks for making this, I’ve been making content since 2013 and I constantly made videos to seek validation, then the last years I started to make content to impress my peers, now I’m at a point where I want to begin making content that I love and enjoy and can come back to watch again as again, I hope to continue to keep doing this, it may not mean a lot but I enjoy your content, solely because I semi understand how you feel.

Well said the whole way through. Honestly the first time I’ve seen all these sensations I’ve gradually had over my 17 years with UA-cam as it’s changed and how content has changed laid out in one sitting. Could say you reenforced and validated my experiences with all these aspects of the UA-cam experience.
Wow! This video speaks to me in so many ways. I over consume UA-cam, don’t create enough because I don’t think others will like it or worry it’s not good enough. I should create more for me and improving a craft and if others like it great.

Oftentimes I look for something and then it's a sea of promotional/sponsored videos that won't be accurate to the actual experience. Big money and UA-cam has definitely collaborated to make a structure to create profit. And it really sucks because if you don't follow that path, UA-cam will just push you down into the weeds. Growing organically on UA-cam is difficult these days. Especially when the algorithm is not exactly favoring people of certain kinds if you get my driftm Thank you for making this video. Thank you for your time! I use a teleprompter and I just try to be conscious of focusing my eyes in the middle of the lens. I also try to squish the text together in my teleprompter app--maybe I'll make a video on this next :)
