I have this instrument (there are two videos in my channel). It's a nice instrument but, it's not really a good instrument to play in 21st century! I couldn't find any pieces written for this instrument!
It doesn't mean it's not good, it just means there's no repertoire! I see great potential for this instrument! Just keep trying, and you'll find a melody that speaks to you :D
Well, I'm playing it in the 21st Century from an improvisational perspective. Perhaps that might work for you! Thank you for watching & commenting!!!

EXTREMELY RATE These Ramirez Laud. Only a few hundreds ever made. The last one went up at Christies at $23,500
I love thisss! sounds so deep
It's tuned like a Terz Guitar.
I can't find any piece about the laud on the internet. Could anyone please help me? And is there a tab or a piece of sheet music for this?
Salve Buen see my channel, I’m uploading new tabs everyday for bandurria, laúd and guitar. Bandurria and laúd have the same tunning
I just bought of these today at auction. It belonged to the late great Tommy Tedesco & was used in the Hollywood studios in the 60s and 70s,
How much did you spend ?
@@godfreyfunklord5340 a few hundred - its not a high quality one. I think he only used it on a few sessions
Check Ramirez Guitars in Madrid. They've made them in the past. I'll post dimensions soon.
Hello! Beautifully played! Is it a tenor?
It's slightly smaller than a "standard" Spanish Laud, by about 4 inches.
@@SlimHadley Ah I see thank you a lot! By any chance do you know the string lenght and the action?
Is there any chance I could get measurements? I would love to build exactly this one for my luthier examination in Hallstatt.

"I've seen all good people" by the band YES was recorded/played live with one!
You can use it for anything you like! Write your own tunes, accompany folk songs, etc. Doesn't have to be for music specifically written for it.
Terz Guitar tuning means you can use it to accompany your singing.
