I also have a 60w JPT MOPA and I'm just starting to test some rocks. Where do you source your sandstone rocks from? I purchased some black rock from HD but they don't engrave very well and actually they seem to have been coated with something to make them black. Those you are using look great but I haven't seen anything like it locally(in NE Georgia). Thanks in advance!
I use 1000mm/s, 95% power and 50 freq on my 50w fiber. but my engravings are getting black surfaces. Yours turned out allot lighter, made me run to my lab and test the 2500/65/50 option
Hello. I’m in the 315 as well and I’ve never used a laser before. However, I’ve had ideas for stone engraving for a few months now. I would love to see a laser in use in person before I buy. Are you by any chance selling a used laser that is capable of engraving rocks like in the video?

Fortunately we have a lake (Lake Ontario) and several rivers close by. I grab a bunch and use those.
I have laser machine but it 2D can we do this using that?
Absolutely. This isn't done in 3d it's just cutting out the negaive spots
Great demo. Thanks.

Those setting seem to work well for me. Nice part is rocks are pretty cheap to test with.... 😉

Unfortunately I don't have a laser that's able to do stone for sale you'd really need a Co2 or fiber laser for this type of work
@@YourCouchsucks Thank you. Would you say a fiber laser is better for stone than a CO2?
@@cbn7239 in my opinion fiber would work better for stone and other materials
@@YourCouchsucks Thank you. One more question- How long did that stone take to complete? Thank you for your time.
How long does it take to make that on your laser?
As I remember the total time was 10 minutes to or so
@@YourCouchsucksI live in Virginia but we have a house on Erie. I foresee a lot of Rocks coming home in my future😂
@@vadadofthr3357 those rocks are gonna work well. The ones I use come off the shores of Lake Ontario
Use a robber band.
Not sure what your suggesting?
