    Great video! I figured out dark black annealing on my fiber without defocusing the lens. 8 watts of power. Line space .02mm. 100khz frequency. 100 mm/s. Thats with a 175mm work area lens.

      @@ramonhanneman Hi Ramon, both have the same marking quality. If you ignore looking and portability, EM-Smart Basic is more cost-effective. :)

    Correction on the "zig-zag" hatch pattern: the laser does not mark a zig-zag line. It's unidirectional, meaning it marks a single line, left to right, moves up and back to the left side without marking, then marks another line, left to right. On the hatch pattern icons in EZ CAD, the blue lines show where the laser actually marks, while the red lines show the travel while the laser is off.

I have never used Easy Cad but I am watching videos on it. Can you use light burn or other software? Again love your videos, keep them coming. Thanks Daniel

I'm trying to decide on whether to purchase a 60w Mopa vs.80w Mopa Fiber Laser. I would need a laser with power that can Engrave stainless steel or mild steel for mostly lettering in less than 20 minutes. Thank you!

    Good tutorial... But the level part might just be over the top does not matter with a flat item. also need to check the machine first. If the machine is at 10degre and the disc is 0degre is it going to be a mess because it is the angel or distance from the laser that matters.

    • @3DPrintFarm

      From my understanding, copper can be annealed. I have not experimented with it but I would assume it would take a bit more power because of the reflectivity. If you joined the Laser Master Academy, send Alex an IM. He’s real good about answering those questions!! Good luck sir!

    Hi - Alex from Laser Everything said we can't do Annealing with the Raycus machine, and if I am not mistaken this EM-Smart that you are using is a Raycus machine, isn't it? I think Alex recommended JPT machine for Annealing, but It seems like you are able to do Annealing with this Raycus machine as well. Sorry, I am new to this, so I hope my question is making sense. I am just trying to figure out which Engraving machine would be better for me.

    • @matchstickdesignco
      @matchstickdesignco 2 роки тому

      My 30 watt fiber has a Raycus source, and I have no problems with annealing. I don't remember ever hearing Alex say that a Raycus source couldn't anneal, but if he did, he is wrong.

    I recently bought the EM-SMART Basic through your link. It arrived safely and I was able to assemble it with no problems. HOWEVER…There was no instruction manual included that walked me through the EZ Cad software. UA-cam has some videos on the installation but they go so quickly I’m not able to get even close to being able to do the installation I’m my 64-bit windows 11 laptop computer.
    PLEASE SIR, create a video on this topic going slow enough so people can at the very least screen capture each step and be able to successfully install EZ-CAD.
    Thank you for your help.

    Sir love the video but one correction the zig zag patern doesn't mean that it burns in zig zag. What that is saying is the red is when the laser is literally off and the galvo is moving to the next burn point, and the laser then turns back on. So if you look and you notice that there is 2 snake patterns one has red and one dose not the one that dose not have red in it means the laser stays burning the whole time. But loved the vid cause I could never get the anneal to work till you said that it's off set by 5mm. Lol
