He was just one of a number of session/tour players Ben hired back then when Ev was the duo of Amy and Ben. A bunch of demos that they compiled and packaged in 2000 to show record labels when they were looking to get signed (which was labeled "Origin") were songs Amy and Ben had written years before, including Imaginary, My Immortal, Whisper, Even in Death, Where Will You Go.
