I'm so glad there was someone kind and empathetic on the other end.
I love my nieces and nephews like they’re my own children & I could never in a million years hurt them, so seeing a man who viciously murdered BOTH of his nephews just to sexually abuse his niece makes me sick. What a heartless, heartless man & his wife is just as bad for lying for him.
Kmartgirl26 that really doesn’t matter. My husband’s brother has a little boy & I’m not his bio aunt, but I still love him just as much as my sisters kids. He still murdered his nephews and abused his niece, bio or not.
Bella I HIGHLY RECOMMEND looking into the West Memphis 3 case that happened in Arkansas in 1993. I don’t want to spoil what happened but it is really interesting and technically unsolved. I’ve been looking into it a lot, the case is about the murder of three 8 year old boys and it is so frustrating!! Love your videos!❤️
Yes this and the photos shown of them! Definitely looked like outside of court photos which wouldn’t have been taken of them unless he had something to do with it
Honey Wilson same!!! i was like??? why would you leave your wife at the murder scene alone balling her eyes out?? and to get her parents? you couldn’t have called?? knew it was fishy
This is absolutely terrible.... while I do feel super super awful for Brenda and can’t even FATHOM what she’s gone through, one of her little brothers put up a struggle before he was killed and this really hit me so hard like damn.
I can't imagine someone belittling me after finding out my brothers family has been brutally murdered. I hope whoever that operator was realized how messed up that was
As soon as she started talking about the way Robert left his wife so easily after seeing what they did I instantly got the feeling that it was him. literally so disgusting how could someone do that to a family.
I’m sorry- but the risk assessment? saying that he poses no threat to her? Imagine the psychological trauma of living with the person who butchered your entire family. That’s insane!
I had to skip the emergency call cuz as soon as I heard that operator's tone, I was so upset. How DARE you talk like that to someone who just found their family murdered. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
I believe the main reason was jealousy. His brother-in-law had everything he always wanted wich was success. The whole family moved to another country but only Min succeded. His frustration and jealousy drove him mad. I feel terrible for Brenda she even had to live with her family's murderer who was also a sexual abuser.
Rumor said that Kathy was actually aiming for the property of Min’s agency. And also he wanted Brenda. Or else, he could’ve just go back to China to become successful.
I literally cannot BELIEVE the nerve of the 000 operator. "Don't say quick" - are you kidding me?! Imagine being panicked and begging 000 to come quickly to help and being told this!! I hope the operator lost his job or at the bare minimum was incredibly reprimanded. So disgusting and not something you can just blame on being frustrated or "having a long day". You are in a profession dedicated to directly assisting people in their most vulnerable moments of panic.
Brenda saying she didn’t reveal the info on the assaults because she thought Robert was innocent of the murders...I’m so sad. Was she thinking it would bring more negative attention to him? Was she groomed in some way? There are so many ways to break that little bit down.
a lot of robert’s off guard photos shows him staring straight into the camera and it just creeped me out... boy what jealousy could do to a person. pure evil
It depends. I am thinking that she is either financially tied up so had no choice to pretend to be on his side. Or she hasn't got her PR or Australian Citizenship - yet - being his wife (since it's the husband getting citizenship through his brother) she can have that chance, she might be sent bk to China if she divorces him w/o citizenship status.
Wtf lol they really thought to themselves "ionno if hes the murderer yet, but theres like a 90% chance he wont kill Brenda, so ya, lets just stick'er there for now. See how that goes." Jesus.
@@time2livelife sorry its been awhile and i dont remember any details. It just seems like an odd sense of rationale, to risk a childs life so directly for a more indirect reason of trying to save the grandparents? Wouldve made more sense to just keep Brenda away and to protect them all with police officers.
That operator should have been fired and maybe even fined. What a nasty human being. He was obviously racist against her, he knew she was an immigrant. Shame on him.
Summer Brooks he could probably tell she was of asian background. he talked in a very patronising way towards her, as if she was a child and didn’t understand. it’s more common than you think especially toward ppl of asian descent and in aussie
ella but my point is how do you know he doesn’t talk to everyone like that? You’re the one pointing out that she’s Asian and saying he’s being rude because of her race so how does that make you any better? I still stand by my point, you can’t just *assume* someone is racist without proof, you add to the problem when you do that.
I literally don't understand how he felt "he was an embarrassment for them" so he thought killing the whole family would make it better 😐👀 liiiiike.... really??????
also when you are abused it look so different. you think she would of wised up but it is not that easy when you are being emotionally manipulated and possibly mentally and physically abused.
The 911 operator was literally so insensitive and it made me so mad like if I found my whole entire family dead of course I would be screaming I wouldn’t even be able to form a sentence.
11 minutes in...the killer has to be Robert . How can you leave your wife in the house where her entire family was just murdered? Couldn’t he have called the parents?
Tbh I thought it was the person that lost the badminton match until she said about the shoe prints guy like they have to know the family, they know Brenda is away, AND is very likely to be a tall man and from the photos he looks tall
One of the pictures you showed had a caption saying that Robert said to Kathy "don't look" before entering the crime scene!! That is insane to me!! How would he know to say that if he weren't guilty? It's undeniable.
As soon as you said his restaurant failed I automatically suspected Robert. In comparison to Min he jus seemed like a failure, so I thought it could be possible and would you look at it it was a possible motive. Even tho they are family jealousy can really make people switch up on you which is really disgusting and a sad reality. I also feel like Cathy was manipulated in some way which is why she defended Robert but it could’ve also been done out of love who knows. Great video tho!!
this happened when I was in primary school... the kids went to my school and lived in my suburb... this was such a hard time for everyone around our town and especially their close friends. seeing this video pop up brought back very unpleasant memories... bless them, they really were amazing people.
You should talk about the April Jones case it happened in Wales and it’s completely heartbreaking. I remember watching it on the news when I was like 7 it was just so sad.
Doesn’t make much sense, but they wear them in the UK too and it’s supposed to make the judge or lawyers more ‘anonymous’ and distance the personal involvement. Very weird but just another old bizarre tradition 🤣
Not sure about NSW but in Victoria, there has been reform in the supreme court (?) that wigs would be abolished in order to allow for the parties to feel comfortable while in court pursuing their case.
Dude...the instant you said that Robert was (basically) a failure in comparison to Min and that Robert had been "cleaning" the garage in the early hours of the morning after the murder, I KNEW that he did it.
that emergency call is an absolute disgrace. the whole job description is to handle and take care of traumatised people and victims and if you can't do that then you shouldn't be in that job.
This happened just a suburb over from me, and I’d been in that news agency more times than I can remember. I still get chills thinking about the whole case now. Absolutely devastating

After finished watching this, I feel so grateful that I had a really good childhood, despite some ups and downs in my family, but definitely not something horrible like this. I also did not know what kind of person I would become if I had to go through such a painful and horrifying experience like her. I just wanna say how brave she is and her case would always remind me to be grateful and to be a kind person. I would like to give her a big hug!
I feel terrible for Brenda she went a trip that was supposed to be enjoyable and she comes home and her parents aunty and two baby brothers were murdered I can’t imaging what she went through
I sure hope the dispatcher was immediately fired. I understand he was trying to get her answer important questions she wasn’t giving a proper answer to, but he handled it very unprofessionally.
the operator needs to be fired :/ “is your brother in the house” “I’m not sure” is a perfectly fine response??? he was being so rude for what? he could probably tell immediately that she is foreign, and should have been more patient and understanding with her. the fact that he was raising his voice just makes me so angry because we can all tell how panicked she sounded

I love her vacuum earrings they are so cute
Love how she had vacuum earrings on then changed them to lamps
Bella I HIGHLY RECOMMEND looking into the West Memphis 3 case that happened in Arkansas in 1993. I don’t want to spoil what happened but it is really interesting and technically unsolved. I’ve been looking into it a lot, the case is about the murder of three 8 year old boys and it is so frustrating!! Love your videos!❤️
OMG yesss i've been investigating about the case as well!!
Cons Cabello IKR?! It’s so crazy!
I remember when this went down, the Satanic Panic here in America at the time was rediculous. Evangelicals are killing America and its freedoms
Angie Scott totally agree! The case is so unbelievable!
i’m from arkansas! about 45 minutes from where this happened. i’ve always been so curious about what really happened!
~*°Spoiler°*~
the moment I heard that robert had a failed business and min had this successful business I knew that that he was the killer
Jealousy kills are becoming too reoccurring. People are sick.
Instantly I thought the same and then as SOON as i heard he left his distraught wife at the scene i was 100% certain
Yes this and the photos shown of them! Definitely looked like outside of court photos which wouldn’t have been taken of them unless he had something to do with it
Honey Wilson same!!! i was like??? why would you leave your wife at the murder scene alone balling her eyes out?? and to get her parents? you couldn’t have called?? knew it was fishy
dude can you like,,,, put a spoiler warning please
How could the police operator keep yelling "YES OR NO" at a traumatized perosn
This is absolutely terrible.... while I do feel super super awful for Brenda and can’t even FATHOM what she’s gone through, one of her little brothers put up a struggle before he was killed and this really hit me so hard like damn.
Haniyya Ejaz social media doesn’t tell you everything, im sure there’s a lot of trauma there.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Bella’s earrings?😌
she never fails to pop off
I know right, their always so interesting 😂
She has the most iconic earrings
Lmao😂
What the heck are they? Looks like vacuum cleaners😃
Extreme jealousy & a vile person
I’m sorry- but the risk assessment? saying that he poses no threat to her? Imagine the psychological trauma of living with the person who butchered your entire family. That’s insane!
I had to skip the emergency call cuz as soon as I heard that operator's tone, I was so upset. How DARE you talk like that to someone who just found their family murdered. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
That call taker is very unsympathetic and rude. He could be more compassionate, she’s clearly distressed. He definitely went the wrong way about it!
A jealous person is always dangerous
I literally cannot BELIEVE the nerve of the 000 operator. "Don't say quick" - are you kidding me?! Imagine being panicked and begging 000 to come quickly to help and being told this!! I hope the operator lost his job or at the bare minimum was incredibly reprimanded. So disgusting and not something you can just blame on being frustrated or "having a long day". You are in a profession dedicated to directly assisting people in their most vulnerable moments of panic.
The fact he evicted the grandparents, which forced Brenda to live with him sends the worst shivers down my spine. That’s so creepy and disgusting
Brenda saying she didn’t reveal the info on the assaults because she thought Robert was innocent of the murders...I’m so sad. Was she thinking it would bring more negative attention to him? Was she groomed in some way? There are so many ways to break that little bit down.
a lot of robert’s off guard photos shows him staring straight into the camera and it just creeped me out... boy what jealousy could do to a person. pure evil
I’m surprised she stood by him even after Brenda shared what he did.
She looks like she is scared of him tbh
In denial
@@chowfurnowmeow but she was Min's sister he was the one that was the brother in law🤔
Wtf lol they really thought to themselves "ionno if hes the murderer yet, but theres like a 90% chance he wont kill Brenda, so ya, lets just stick'er there for now. See how that goes." Jesus.
Agreed, but it’s possible they thought that moving Brenda would aggravate him and cause him to kill more family members.
@@time2livelife more family members? They were all already dead, no?
@@RascalHooligan the grandparents were still alive
@@time2livelife sorry its been awhile and i dont remember any details. It just seems like an odd sense of rationale, to risk a childs life so directly for a more indirect reason of trying to save the grandparents? Wouldve made more sense to just keep Brenda away and to protect them all with police officers.
@@RascalHooligan Agreed
I watch true crime frequently and for some reason this one hits rly hard. Im crying this seemed like such a happy family. They deserved the best
Yes it was absolutely disgraceful
Them earrings! Wow I love them. Can’t wait for this video
So the most intriguing thing you heard or saw in the video was earrings 🤖☠️
@Augustine isn’t that not what they are
Omg it's Henry!!
That operator should have been fired and maybe even fined. What a nasty human being. He was obviously racist against her, he knew she was an immigrant. Shame on him.
Literally what proof do you have that he was racist? He was rude but there was no indication of racism?
Summer Brooks he could probably tell she was of asian background. he talked in a very patronising way towards her, as if she was a child and didn’t understand. it’s more common than you think especially toward ppl of asian descent and in aussie
@@ella-gl3gi truth
@@b.5795 she clearly did not have an Australian accent, he 100% knew she was Asian and had zero empathy for her. Please dont be so naive
ella but my point is how do you know he doesn’t talk to everyone like that? You’re the one pointing out that she’s Asian and saying he’s being rude because of her race so how does that make you any better? I still stand by my point, you can’t just *assume* someone is racist without proof, you add to the problem when you do that.
I swear the emergency operator is racist or something. He should have lost his job. It’s not some customer service line it’s an EMERGENCY LINE
PERIOD.
It was so frustrating to listen to
I saw another comment saying he was fired but I’m not sure how true that is
Customer service lines have more manners than this.
That wedding photo is gorgeous what a hard working beautiful family :(
Poor poor Brenda, I can't imagine the horror of what she went through. Her uncle is a creep and I feel so sorry for her
The second I heard he left Cathy alone after finding the bodies I had such a bad feeling about him
This is just devastating! the two little ones, breaks my heart 😓
I literally don't understand how he felt "he was an embarrassment for them" so he thought killing the whole family would make it better 😐👀 liiiiike.... really??????
Unfortunately, you can’t apply logic to crazy people.
Na. It's just an excuse for him to say that. Obviously a sh*tty one.
I think Cathys husband maybe forced her to stand by him. He could have threatened her to stick with him or she would be killed as well.
I think so too
also when you are abused it look so different. you think she would of wised up but it is not that easy when you are being emotionally manipulated and possibly mentally and physically abused.
Yes I think she's completely and utterly in denial
The 911 operator was literally so insensitive and it made me so mad like if I found my whole entire family dead of course I would be screaming I wouldn’t even be able to form a sentence.
11 minutes in...the killer has to be Robert . How can you leave your wife in the house where her entire family was just murdered? Couldn’t he have called the parents?
right! like why would his first thought was to bring the old folks to the murder scene. Sick.
This story is incredibly tragic and heartbreaking. Such a beautiful family. May the Lin family Rest In Peace ❤️
You should talk about the April Jones case it happened in Wales and it’s completely heartbreaking. I remember watching it on the news when I was like 7 it was just so sad.
I totally agree the operator was insensitive and rude 😡 what a shame!!!
What a complete and utter dick! No compassion whatsoever.
That call is so- ugg! That operator needs to be fired honestly 😐
this video should be retitled: Robert applying for bail but getting denied for 33 minutes and 35 seconds
Just a curious question - why do they wear those old-fashioned wigs in Australian courts?
Doesn’t make much sense, but they wear them in the UK too and it’s supposed to make the judge or lawyers more ‘anonymous’ and distance the personal involvement. Very weird but just another old bizarre tradition 🤣
Not sure about NSW but in Victoria, there has been reform in the supreme court (?) that wigs would be abolished in order to allow for the parties to feel comfortable while in court pursuing their case.
They look like sheep 🐑 😂
I just scrolled over your comment when i saw the picture haha
이하나 same
HENRY HOOVER EARRINGS?!!!! Legendary❤️🤣
This one was shocking. And the wife not believing is so frustrating 😵
I can't imagine the hatred that brenda probably feels for her Uncle!!! What a sick man!!
This happened just a suburb over from me, and I’d been in that news agency more times than I can remember. I still get chills thinking about the whole case now. Absolutely devastating
Your earnings girl 😂 I didn’t realise what they were at first I was like cuuuuuute....oh.....but still cuuuute 😂
It's little vacuums right? Lol
Brittany Rodrigues Henry hoovers!!!
Now they are little lamps lol
Brittany Rodrigues
I- I thought it was like a watering pot and there was water coming out of it
Hello! I am tired does sound like smth bella would still wear tho
This absolutely breaks my heart, it’s hard for even me to watch. Absolutely sickening, may the family Rest In Peace and Brenda live her best life with all the support she needs
I feel terrible for Brenda she went a trip that was supposed to be enjoyable and she comes home and her parents aunty and two baby brothers were murdered I can’t imaging what she went through
There could be an entire series on 911 calls that could make your blood boil, it's so awful how many I've heard.
I sure hope the dispatcher was immediately fired. I understand he was trying to get her answer important questions she wasn’t giving a proper answer to, but he handled it very unprofessionally.
bruh the racism in that operating call. 🤷🏽♀️
Y’all think anything is racist
Mya Holmes it literally is, there’s a certain tone that racists use against poc or immigrants. onviously you would know nothing about it so (:
taz bibi lmfaoo a “certain” tone, explain the tone
Kmartgirl26 lol she never said white people cant be immigrants. She said, "against poc OR immigrants.”
@Anjali Thapa Magar no y’all just sensitive
i love your accent! like “soor” is “so” and “below” is “beloor”
and i think that’s beautiful
I love watching these but after I’m scared for my life👁👄👁
Legit i'm so stupid when i watch just before going to sleep. Dont do it😂
So did i can’t go to sleep 😟
Yea... it’s 3:50am in Texas and I just woke up by accident and I’m not going back to sleep
Same
Dude Imagine someone moving into that House... I could never ever after knowing this.
Right…
I thought the fact that he was all ready to adopt Brenda just like that was suspicious already. I don’t know how someone can do this to a family.
18:07 this part got me chills and broke my heart. I wanted to hug this girl and tell her that he knew, her father knew that.
When Bella said that He automatically wanted to adopt Brenda I just felt like it was foreshadowing something
I can't believe how rude that operator was!!!
i have never cried so hard during one of these videos. i hope brenda is doing ok and may her family rest in peace.
Yes it was absolutely disgraceful. I hate him intensely
i started to cry when the part about brenda finding out came up i couldnt imagine finding out like that
in labor with my first daughter and so thankful i remembered you posted a monday mystery !! love your videos 🥰
the operator needs to be fired :/ “is your brother in the house” “I’m not sure” is a perfectly fine response??? he was being so rude for what? he could probably tell immediately that she is foreign, and should have been more patient and understanding with her. the fact that he was raising his voice just makes me so angry because we can all tell how panicked she sounded
as soon as you mentioned robert and showed his picture i knew it was him...
Same
Was literally just watching old Bella vids and this one popped up
*advertises phone cases* “ok so let’s go ahead and get into today’s case” she did that on purpose x x
You’re literally my favorite crime watch UA-camr. I LOVE the amount of work and detail you put into the story while also telling it so simply. If you haven’t already you should reach out to Netflix bc you deserve to get paid millions
I met Brenda at uni a few years ago. She is such a strong and brave girl 💕
Why do people do this?? Pretend to know the surviors.
@@blackiemwe1481 why do you think she's pretending to know her?
I understand that dispatchers have a hard job but that is no excuse for being a revolting prick especially towards someone who is clearly traumatised and frazzled.
Omg I missed so much!! Love to have you back 💁🏽♀️
Such an inspiration 😘😘
I feel like the brother in law is guilty of the murders 100%
For real
He is.
I hope Brenda is okay and surrounded with love wherever she is. It isn't the first time I've listened to a youtuber cover this, it breaks my heart every time. Such a sad case.
That phone operator/cop is appalling. Telling her to 'stop screaming', 'don't say 'quick', telling her to answer his question when he hadn't even asked one etc. How misogynist, unhelpful and patronising. I am seriously shaking my head. I paused the video to vent about this. His conversation with her should be used in training for what NOT to do.
the first responder that answered the calll should be fired. he's fired.
