Popped over to say howdy while we all eat our Parmesan pearls! 🙃 #greatmindsthinkalike
The cheap parmesan has cellulose fiber in it, that is why they came out crispier. They look delicious.
That's funny highfalutin low carb put out same thing today😀
Whaaaat! Lol! I gotta go comment 😂
I just watched that one and then saw this one and was like, great minds think alike, LOL!
Yes. I just watched it. Good idea❤
Lol I noticed that, too, but hadn't watched yet! Wondered if it was the same recipe, more or less! 😂
Now, I have to go hunt down Wes's upload❣
Ok this is complete insanity but it actually worked. I had no egg whites but I had egg beaters. I mixed it with some store brand Parmesan made a few balls and put them in my air fryer doing something I do to roast pecans ( put in a small loaf pan and hit preheat) one minute before preheating is done I will take out my pecans and they are nicely toasted. I did the same with my balls (ouch 😂😂) my Parmesan balls that is and they are crunchy and delicious. Go figure!! No seasoning at all just cheese and egg beaters. And no mess with oil
What temperature and for how long?
What's an egg beater?
@@lolabelle4959 it's cartoned egg whites, with a couple of gums included.
400 for 10 minutes
I tweaked it a bit and added garlic powder and chef prudhome pizza magic seasoning. They came out golden brown and delicious.
Just doing the preheat did not work as good as preheat the air fryer and cook for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees
@@emilysaunt5748 I actually use my egg beaters to make omelettes and chaffles. And basically any keto recipe that calls for eggs
4 tablespoons = 1/4 cup btw. Easier to measure.
Their name could be Parmesan Hushpuppies NOT balls. What ya think?
Great idea 🤣
Parm Pups
I think cream cheese mixed with cheddar cheese would be a good center for the bacon and jalapeno recipe. Roll the cheese mixture into small balls and freeze them then cover them with the parmesan/egg/jalapeno/bacon mixture. The fry them
That sounds delicious!! 😮
I'm going to try that! The Parmesan was WAY too salty for me!
That sounds really interesting! A filling for the cheese balls? Great idea!
Add onion minced, make hush puppies. Love your videos. ❤
Everything bagel sounds like a good add in.
I always disliked that stuff and finally figured out why. Poppy seeds. I hate those little things. 😂
Hehehehehe…she said “balls” 😂😂😂 (yes, I’m juvenile!)
😂😂
Me too 😂
🤭
And I giggled every time! Lol
Would swapping the grated cheese for almond flour work to make a sweet version instead of savory, and maybe add cinnamon and cream cheese in the center
🙈🙉🙊 BALLS BALLS BALLS!! lol the more you say it the funnier it gets hahaha. Great recipe, I’m gonna try it today! :D
😂😂😂
Watching this while I am dipping my pork rinds in a mixture of sour cream & salsa.
But that bacon, jalapeno one does sound promising..... can't wait to try these.
This needs a "balls" counter. 😂
😂🤗😩🙈
I watched Highfalutin today also. He liked the Kraft green can cheese better. When I make it I’m going to use the green can stuff. That’s funny you both came to the same decision.❤Grandma Brenda
"spheres" LOL! They both look delicious! - Michelle
Girls, you always bring a smile to my face. Keep up the good work!
I'm thinking about adding a small cube of cheese to center. Going to bake, maybe use mini muffin pan to hold them.
Sounds like it would be awesome!
Thank you beautiful Twinkies, for all you do. Love watching your recipe videos. ❤️
How about Chopped salami, Parsley, mozzarella. Mimic a rice ball!
I saw the video last night where you explained about the past videos and the hardship you both went through with your father. I am so sorry for your loss. He is at peace and around you all the time. Ignore the ignorant people who speak about you gaining weight, some people were just born miserable. You are both beautiful and your father was very proud of you both as is your mother. Take the time to mourn your loss. You are both professional and lovely ladies, thank you for your content, it has helped numerous people. Bless you both.
Thank you! ❤️❤️
So happy to see a new video from you! Whether or not I ever try a recipe, I enjoy seeing you make it.
❤️🤗 thanks Cindy, appreciate you!
Inthe UK Hush Puppies are shoes.....😆
In the USA too, at least when I was a kid.
Yes, in the USA we've had shies named Hush Puooues too... lol
Nice one Ladies! How about adding a little fresh cut spinach and artichoke? I think that would be epic since most artichoke spinach dips have parmesan in them anyway. I tried the original when you guys posted it the first time and thought it was a great base with so many possibilities but had forgotten about it. Thank you for another great video! I'm sure you will hit your goal of 250,000 subscribers this year! Love ya! Have a great day!
You girls know if its a bread replacement & i been holding off using my corn extract, so "IM IN"! Southern girl & cornbread anything should not be parted, bless heart hearts!😊
I would consider adding nutritional yeast for another flavor profile
I’ve used this mixed with ground chicken or fish (salmon or sardines) to make fish sticks or nuggets. It’s a very useful recipe! ❤
Definitely trying this but going to use lard to fry in as I am 99.5% carnivore. They sound great thanks ladies
I think some finely chopped shrimp to mimic a shrimp toast might work. I’m not sure what type of spice/ seasoning. Maybe eaten with a dipping sauce
That sounds like it would be AWESOME
Pre-grated parm has added starches to keep the contents separated, so that may add to the crunchiness 😊
Read the ingredients on the cheese. Cheaper brands often include lots of cellulose (wood, basically).
Actually cellulose is fiber. Naturally found in fruit and vegetables. Not just trees.
I used to make an appetizer all the time called olive cheese puffs. It was a cheese and flour dough wrapped around a single black olive and bake it (orig recipe called for green but I don't like those). I think you could wrap this ''dough' around an olive and it would do great. They turn out about the same size as yours.
I used to have the green olive ones as a kid - one of the many appetizers my mom served at Christmas. SUCH a great memory! I want to try that now!
Maybe jalapeño poppers out of these!
Oooo
Cream cheese sounds good
Hi Keto Twinzies!👯
I saw your video today and I IMMEDIATELY ran into the kitchen to recreate what you made.
We had Trader Joe’s parmesan ( grated cheese) that I used…no jalapeños in house but hey we had banana peppers!
I know we have Old Bay Seasoning ( but I couldn’t find it) but I found the Creole Seasoning ( so I used that) and I also added freeze dried chives and some pepper.
I must say they were ABSOLUTELY Amazing ( and crispy in the outside and gooey on the inside)….I only cooked 2 balls ( spheres😜) and put rest in fridge and will cook a couple at a time each day.
SUPER Yummy and ohhh so satisfying!
Thank you Keto Twinzies 👯for ALWAYS introducing us to recipes that keep us keto and low carb!!!!🇺🇸👍
Maybe make them flatter in a chaffle maker. Just a thought.
Thank you so much for this video. I have been looking for a quick grab and go snack. These seasoned "spheres" look wonderful. I will be using the cheaper parm to make them.
I dip hushpuppies in cocktail sauce. I’m so excited to try these! Thanks ladies!
These look really yummy! I will have to try them. Thanks for all the good keto ideas.
Yum, looking forward to making these. thx
Looking forward to making. Thanks again for another great recipe! 💕
Thank you 💟
Thank you for listing the ingredients, definitely going to try the cheaper parmesan, that crunch is essential. Do you have an estimate on temperature and frying time?
Great idea! I'll try these, thanks!
Haven’t made these in a while, but they are good. Thanks for the reminder! Great with garlic and Italian seasoning. Good dipped in marinara!
chop of pepperoni into tiny bits and dip in marinara.
That’s awesome! The cream cheese ones weren’t hard to make and toned down the saltiness.
100,000 soon! You go girls!!❤😊
Thank you so much for sharing this. I really need something to make me feel like I am not on a new lifestyle (diet)
Thanks for sharing this video ❤
I have done very similar but I added salmon I fry them in avocado oil. They were delicious. I have some in my freezer for if I want to take them can warm them up in the microwave❤😊
Looks awesome! ❤
Wes on Highfalutin Low Carb did this recently and he thought the cheap parmesan turned out better. He added 5 drops of corn extract to it but he said when he did it again he would add more.
I can't wait to try the jalapeno/bacon ones, yum. I tried the Daikon radish as scalloped and a salad too. Both were delicious.
Guys I have SOOOOOO many recipes right now 🤣 I'll never get them all tried!
You can always use Jalapeno powder. Yes, there's a powder form you can use and I like to use it in moisture sensitive recipes.
I might try some grated radish or turnip to make a kind of tater tot…
I just bought a dash donut hole maker and it arrives tomorrow. ( because I don’t like deep frying at home) so this is perfect for me to try with it!
Let us Dashers know how it worked!
Looks great
Maybe try a mixture of the two cheeses.
Those look so yummy. Gonna try the cheap stuff recipe.
I wonder if you could use cheddar whisps/crisps ground up instead of or partially substituted with the Parmesan
great recipe. i love your teal/dark green outfit, looks perfect
I ❤ you girls, I'm all OVER these balls!! Cream cheese & chopped fine green olives, rolled into little BALLS and frozen, then form the parm/egg white mixture around them and fry! Always happy to see you two! XOXO
yum! that sounds tasty! we will have to try that combo
Parmesan fish fry is awesome!
Wow, I will be trying these. Thank you 💞
Thanks for watching
What if you coated a mozzarella stick with the eggwhite+almondflour+italian seasoning.
Freeze them so the cheese can stay in its shape, then fry them! Then serve with marinara sauce
Yes! We also use egg wash and pork panko to make mozzarella sticks :)
I would try bacon, and a small chunk of cheddar inside it with a sour cream dip. It might mimic a loaded baked potato.
I keep forgetting to try these! Must try asap! Wonder if you could spray with avocado oil and air fry.
I recently found your channel and I love it! Y'all are adorable. And I think Emily's face says it all...every time. 😂❤
❤️🤗
Both look and sound so yummy! I will have to try them!!! By the way, I finally took the plunge and purchased the SEED supplements with your code… Thank you! ❤
How about using italian seasoning? That sounds delicious! 😋
Please do a cook book
My fave combo is Italian sausage broccoli and feta.
Thanks girls ❤ looks yummy and cheap !!!
I'm making them today
"Woah how did i get here?!" This made me laugh so much 😂 my husband said i ask myself that all the time 😂😂
Thanks!
Thank you!!
These are so addicting!!
mm, sounds good!
That was easy enough & very tasty...used an air fryer instead of grease/oil...10 minutes gave a nice golden crust...👍👍
So glad you were able to use an airfryer! Can you tell us what setting you used?
400*F. Wide open for my air fryer.
Use the spoon that you have and drop half the batch in at once. Can have them all in with just 2 drops. Less babysitting with you timing.
I've been making a low carb version of Nadiya Hussain's egg wrap and was hoping you'd give it a try. It is one of those recipes that has endless possibilities
:)
I bet this would be good with finely minced onion like hush puppies. I can’t wait to try this.
I used the graded Parmesean from Aldi. It's super cheap and works perfectly.
Thank you.
Sounds good to me.🎉
I would add some rehydrated dried minced onion to the corn and maybe use those tiny whole corn that is food processed. Or maybe just mince some fresh onion.
I'm a huge fan of dehydrated onion, so that would be perfect for me.
Parmesan spheres 😂
I need a new word for balls lol
@@ketotwins c'mon!! L0L don't you say meatbaIIs? sauerkraut baIIs? oh, hey, anyone every make sauerkraut baIIs? I LOVE sauerkraut baIIs!! I'm gonna try these in my NEW MULTlMINI waffIe maker!! I might get a BeIgian waffIemaker to make STUFFED stuff!! Like caIzones!!
@@ketotwinshow about Parmesan bites? As long as they’re not ‘schweaty’ ala SNL. 😅
I'm thinking plain rolled in cinnamon "sugar"
Those look yummy 😋
Thanks keto twins I've watching yall ,(as you can tell I'm in the south nc coast,) and yall are my go to snack attack chefs for low carb or keto. Maybe cinnamon with a glaze. Hummm🤔😊
We are not brave enough to go sweet with these but let us know if you are 😂
The cheap stuff has powdered cellulose in it. Hence the difference. What is cellulose? Cellulose is made up of a series of sugar molecules linked together in a long chain. Since it is a fiber that makes up plant cell walls, it's found in all plant foods. When you eat food that contains it, cellulose stays intact as it passes through your small intestine. I don’t think the sugar has any carbs cause it’s a weird sugar molecule.
Y'all are so cute. But most importantly, you have great content. Thank you.
Try double frying.
Can i use an sir fryer
In my previous comment it's taco bell that makes the delicious cinnamon cream cheese bon😊
Could u wrap that around sausage links?
Are you thinking about corndogs?
4T equals 1/4th of a cup---
May try feta cheese with kalamata olives as side for greek salad.
Yum!
Could they be baked instead of fried?
Maybe we could mix cauliflower rice with the cheese and egg to make it lower calorie. Kind of an arancini vibe!
